The trail is 76.2 miles of waterfalls, rivers, and mountains stretching from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park. Jen and Joe moved to the South Carolina Upstate in 2023 and discovered they were within minutes of the Foothills Trail. The trail is 76.2 miles of waterfalls, rivers, and mountains stretching from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park. As soon as the oldest child moved out of his room above the garage, we started hosting thru-hikers hostel-style. Fair warning: it’s an “open concept” bathroom, true studio style. Great for one person but could be awkward for two.

Located in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Broken Oak Organics is a former produce and flower farm. Full access to the campsite by vehicle. The North saluda River is just a few short steps away from the front door of your tent. Enjoy a fire pit and white sandy beaches on the edge of the river, then retreat to a 20 foot level tent site, with a picnic table. A brand new full (shared with other campers) bathroom with a shower, is a short walk away. Catch Brown and Rainbow trout, play Cornhole, or hit golf balls when you're not swimming in the river!

A truly healing stay. I traveled from Charleston to Greenville to revisit some meaningful spots and say goodbye to old memories before moving. This campsite was not only affordable but felt incredibly safe which was important since my husband was on a work trip and I was camping with just my dog. I’m so thankful for this location, it was exactly what I needed. It was a camping experience but near the city.

Easy to read signs for different campsites, very nice host, and peaceful setting by the river. Also a generous amount of firewood for a reasonable price. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.

Hosts are very helpful and communicative. The camping spot is great. It is very quiet and private. You are near Paris Mountain State Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail for outdoor recreation.

I hobbled into Sunny Day Adventures on an almost-flat tire on Christmas Eve, thinking I would have to wait until the day after Christmas to get it repaired and then continue on my journey. But, lo and behold, the host has a tire shop behind the house! Joe patched up the tire on Christmas morning and I was on my way. What a Christmas blessing!
Extremely kind hosts, sweet family and cute Airedale puppy.
The camping spot has a full hook-up behind a little building used as an Airbnb. It is on a rather busy road, but the noise was barely noticeable. It felt like a peaceful country setting, even though it's just a couple of minutes from the historic town of Abbeville.
I highly recommend Sunny Day Adventures!

The setup was perfect. I was a little worried about making it down to the site with my travel trailer (27 ft) but it was doable. Plenty of space to spread out and had plenty of privacy. We would definitely stay again.

I loved this site! Super beautiful with the trees and river. There's ample room for 2 vehicles and 2 tents. No picnic table which would've been nice, but we brought our own and it was ok. The fire pit was nice as well. The river bank was steep so not easy to get in and out of, but I think there's a boat ramp somewhere. I would definitely love to stay here again, overall a really nice spot
