Other things to note Note from a Guest: Great property for family, couple, or small group This unique farmhouse style home is a great choice for travelers and an excellent venue for gatherings by local residents. It has easy access but the property has abundant trees and is secluded from nearby roads and homes for privacy. The interior, baths, and kitchen are updated but maintain a pleasant farmhouse feel. The host had it perfectly clean and well stocked. It has a bonfire pit and a smaller fire pit for outside gatherings and the hot tub was immaculately clean, heated, and ready for use when we arrived. Kids can enjoy swings and slides. We used it for a small gathering where about a dozen guests gathered during the day and six spent the night. Could not have been happier with property or hosts. Fireworks are legal and permitted within reasonable hours. Horses are welcome.

As soon as the oldest child moved out of his room above the garage, we started hosting thru-hikers hostel-style. Fair warning: it’s an “open concept” bathroom, true studio style. I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

This was such a delightful place to stay, and we're already making plans to come back. The Creekhouse is the perfect blend of roughing it with access to basic amenities. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and exploring the property, and I appreciated the quiet freedom to let them roam. Damon is a wonderful host, friendly and very responsive. When the temperature dropped suddenly, he made sure we had heaters and warm blankets for sleeping, and we stayed cozy. My favorite part was falling asleep to the sound of the creek directly below us.

Great place to camp. Super cool place super pretty inside! Everything was tidy and clean upon arrival and host was super nice making sure we had good kindling and wood for our fire! Would reccommend in cool and cold weather and can’t wait to come back in warmer weather for a different experience! The streams and plants/trees are beautiful!
