Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

June has a wonderful spot to camp or park a small rv. As an FYI, I have a tall roof long wheelbase Sprinter, and I wouldn't suggest trying to fit anything any bigger down the driveway.

Weekend Trip to Scotland Pond

I loved this place!! It's on a pond with the geese playing in the water and the fire pit right next to it. Sitting next to the fire watching the birds play in the water and my dog run free was pure heaven for me. Don and Stephanie are super hosts. They really cared about my stay there. I definitely want to go back again!

Weekend Trip to Camp Moondog

This is probably my favorite hipcamp ever! We arrived late at night (10 pm) and had absolutely no issues finding the campsite and the adorable string lights really helped with setting up our tent. It’s the most gorgeous spot right on the river, and so quiet and secluded while being really close to town. The bank down to the river is quite steep, but it helped keep our dog from swimming all day. I can’t wait to come back!

We were looking for seclusion, privacy, romance, and a chance to reconnect with nature—and The Confluence delivered all of that and more! Although we only stayed one night, it truly felt like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. The campsite was clean, inviting, and impressively well-appointed for a primitive setup. The host clearly takes pride in maintaining a peaceful, comfortable space. Would we return? Absolutely. Highlights of the site include: • A flowing river with a small, accessible beach • Beautiful trees surrounding a wide-open meadow • A private primitive restroom • Covered picnic table • Fire ring • Decking for a tent • Soft, solar-powered lights that added a cozy touch A+++ experience—highly recommended!

3 nights at Camp Moondog

We camped at the fern gully site, beautiful site 180° view of the flowing saluda river.. also caught some bluegill and a little bass. Now this site may be a bit of a trek for some and a little tip, when it rains . It pours.. be wary of that slick southern clay. it's completely secluded! Just you. the river. And nature! Also just minutes to downtown Greenville. And a short drive to Paris mountain.. Caesars head and table Rock State parks!

My family and friends loved staying on Lorri's land. We booked 2 spots, Creekside 3 and the Platform site. They were within walking distance and Lorri did a good job of clearing a path. Creekside 3 was nice with the sound of the water and access to the water. The Platform site had really nice shade in the evening to get out of the sun. The land was flatter near the creek for those who have roof top tents, smaller flat spot at Platform site. The property is far enough, but also close enough to stores (12-15 mins). Close to some nice trails and waterfall. Not too far from Asheville. We had a great stay...thanks Lorri!

Weekend Trip to Chattooga Belle Farm Lakeside

Awesome boondocks style camping. I stayed over Easter and had a beautiful experience. It was easy to get to the camping area and I was able to camp lakeside, right next to the shared dock. I only saw a few other campers throughout the three days, so it felt like I had the place to myself while still having the security of others around. There was so much to explore just in the camping area- the lake, the animals, the frisbee gold, and some cool trails. I wish I went to the distillery but just didn't have time. I did get to check out the store on my last day and the view was incredible up there. They had some great camping staples in the store. The camp experience was perfect, there was a fire ring, a table, and an outhouse. I highly recommend camping here at some point. It's a beautiful farm with so much to offer.

The perfect retreat right on the river, the hosts were great, making us welcome then leaving us to enjoy. Our pup has a new favorite spot to retrieve in the water. And five minutes away Buffet Latino was serving a full Puerto Rican buffet at 9 am! The perfect exit!

It was our first time camping and it was a great experience from the beginning. Mike came to welcome us and show us the place around which was really nice. The space is great, the view is amazing, it’s crazy it’s so close to the actual city and you actually feel far away like others have said already. You can hear the nature, we didn’t see any animals, the river was super nice too. In general a great experience that I would 100% recommend.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

We had a fantastic weekend at the tent site. It was absolutely beautiful! Not too close to the tent/RV site so we still had plenty of privacy. Outhouse is literally a few feet away and super convenient. Well kept and very clean! The tent site itself is on the river and has an amazing view but you cannot access the water from the site because it’s quite a steep climb down the river bank- however you can access the water by walking just a few feet down the gravel road and that’s where you can put boats in the water also. (The other tent/RV site does have water access) We rented a canoe and went for a paddle which we enjoyed. On a clear night the stars are a sight! We had the best time just enjoying the views and the peace and quiet making family memories. John is a great host who did come down and introduce himself and offered assistance if needed. Definitely recommend!

Each site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and are are opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting. *Please send us a message if you are interested in renting out the entire property for family reunions, birthdays, or other events. Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night.
