Loved our stay with our little camper and two dogs. It was nice and clean. The raised porch was perfect us to place our 12x12 canopy over to escape from the rain and sun. Nice groomed trail down to a private water spot on the river. We will def be back!

Peter’s “Treehouse and SMH” campsite was such a peaceful escape. The mountain views were stunning, and the sound of the waterfall pond added a calming, meditative vibe to the whole stay. It was the perfect backdrop for relaxing and soaking in nature. The space felt quiet, secluded, and well-kept. Peter was a thoughtful host— I appreciate him checking on us. If you’re looking for a serene spot with beautiful scenery and a soothing atmosphere, I’d recommend this place.

Weekend Trip to Wonderland Garden

This is the spot! I hate to even recommend it because it'll get too popular. Easy getaway from Greenville but you feel like you're miles away. It has all the camping amenities needed (tables, chairs, fire pit, outhouse, flat space for tents or car camping) and is well maintained. Great view of Paris Mountain. Some noise at night from cars and neighboring dogs so bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to those. We're already planning our next trip here. Easy access to mountain biking and hiking trails and Saluda river is nearby too.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

We had a fantastic weekend at the tent site. It was absolutely beautiful! Not too close to the tent/RV site so we still had plenty of privacy. Outhouse is literally a few feet away and super convenient. Well kept and very clean! The tent site itself is on the river and has an amazing view but you cannot access the water from the site because it’s quite a steep climb down the river bank- however you can access the water by walking just a few feet down the gravel road and that’s where you can put boats in the water also. (The other tent/RV site does have water access) We rented a canoe and went for a paddle which we enjoyed. On a clear night the stars are a sight! We had the best time just enjoying the views and the peace and quiet making family memories. John is a great host who did come down and introduce himself and offered assistance if needed. Definitely recommend!

This place is so perfect I wish I could keep it all to myself. Great location for all Asheville area activities. Don’t feel like adventuring? Just stay and hang out in the hot tub! This was our second stay here and it just doesn’t compare to any other spot so we keep coming back! This place is a dream! A couple of tips that helped make our stay extra comfortable: we brought a pop-up shower surround ( found on Amazon) to make the outdoor shower a more private experience. We also brought a smart TV to connect to the wi-fi so we could watch movies while hanging in the hot tub.

1 night at Serenity on the Saluda

Nothing but nature. The sounds of birds and light water rapids was all that could be heard. Outhouse was sufficient. It’s nice that it’s off the road quite a bit. Feels very secluded. Plenty of room for a vehicle, tent, and anything else you want to set up. Right next to the river. Really good firewood. Pleasant stay. Will use again sometime.

Steven’s land is absolutely wonderful! One peaceful and quiet RV spot with full hookups all to yourself with amazing views! It was easy to maneuver our 35’ travel trailer into the level gravel spot, and there was plenty of space for our fur babies to run and play in a big open field. Look no further for your next Hipcamp in North Carolina - enjoy so many beautiful places to explore within 20-30 minutes! Plenty of green grass - level - for tents also!

Great camping spot! Peaceful, beautiful river, plenty of stars. Great spot to spend a weekend! Be sure to notice the rules in the listing details about not being able to go fishing at the property unless with a guide. We overlooked that before we booked. But all in all had a great time.

This was a beautiful secluded spot where my husband and our two dogs stayed. Even with a little rain we had so much luck fishing and just truly enjoyed all the time spent there! We will definitely go back!

There is a sign provided if you choose to drive across the drainage, ditches and into the grassland and earth, or up to the edge of the pond, you may very well have difficulties driving a 2 Wheel Dr. vehicle, and need further assistance. All campsites are within a short radius within 50 yards of the parking lot. Please park your vehicle there even if your car camping. Please maintain the packet it in packet it out attitude, it will be noted in your review if you discard your trash!!! Currently the road and parking lot are in fine shape there’s almost $10,000 worth of gravel between the two if you drive off of these surfaces you will be responsible for whatever wrecker services needed or required to remove your vehicle.

Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. WINTER BOOKINGS: Our driveway may be impassible during winter weather and we recommend snow tires, snow chains, and/or 4x4 during the winter months due to ice. We do shut down the running water during the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing. We will provide guests with 5 gallon drinking jugs with a dispenser to use, and the toilet still has water to flush. But the shower, sink, tub, hose, and bidet will be shut down during these months. If you want the true off-grid experience this is it ;) We do require guests to e-sign our rental agreement that we will email to you, and request a $300 security deposit hold (not a charge) that we will release upon checkout. This is just a precaution for us letting people we don't know stay at our place and respecting it.
