Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate.
Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit.
While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

A lot of wildlife to see including deer, bear, fox, coyote, several bird species and bald eagles. We're close to State Gamelands for hunting. You're welcome to eat any fruit that has ripened here during your stay. The miles of ATV trails are also fun to hike, or ride your horse on. Campfires allowed, leashed pets allowed...must be leashed at all times...dogs, cats, horses, Bring your pets! There is a spring, with potable water, on the property. Beautiful sunsets here, plus an amazing view across Reesedale road. You might catch a rainbow too if it rains! Our personal favorite view is the vast nighttime sky... Perfect place for stargazers. Watch the beautiful sunrises and "moon-rises" over the tree tops. You can run generators anytime, but please be considerate of other campers. Very Private location. There is a bar/restaurant close by in Adrian. It's 10 miles to downtown Kittanning, where festivals and concerts in the park are held, plus more restaurants, stores, and rails to trails for bike riders. There are fishing ponds and large glacial rock formations nearby. Tours to the places mentioned can be scheduled for a fee if we're available. We will have a small map of the area with places marked. You're welcome to cut and use fallen trees. Please don't bring firewood from other counties due to spread of diseases and destructive insects. Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote.
With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. This was a perfect getaway with plenty space to setup a tent or hammock. It's also only 15 minutes away from a store if I forgot anything. Kate supplied plenty of split wood, picnic table, chair and bench. The view was amazing and I will definitely be back again!

Very easy to find, well kept, quiet campsite by the creek. Though the weather was quite cold, I really enjoyed my stay at Muddy Myst. The trails were easy to navigate and the pond was beautiful! Can’t wait to come back in the warmer months for a dip!!

This was our first stay at Muddy Myst after looking at it on Hipcamp for a while now! With the state parks closing it was the perfect time to try this place out, and it was amazing!! Such a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The hosts were super accommodating and kind. They were on site when we visited, and they offered to give my nieces and nephews a ride in their buggy. They had a blast. Kids and dogs loved trekking through the creek and exploring the waterfall. The open field was great for us to play all sorts of games. Played capture the flag at night. All in all a great time.

Nice, off-the-beaten-path campground with lots of ammenities, clean restrooms, and a wonderful community “HUB” for relaxing and getting connected. The only downside to our stay was that the site we picked (hard to see online what you might be next to…) was very close to a long-term camper who’s living space was about a foot away from our sewer dump. Made dump time a bit awkward. Otherwise, a very quiet and peaceful location that I’m sure will prosper in the coming years. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was perfect, the site is beautiful and well kept and the host was very welcoming and kind to our two boys. She showed us all their animals and told us their backstories and even let our oldest help feed the chickens. She provided snacks for the horses which we were able to feed whenever we wanted. They come right up to the tent site and the cabin. We felt very safe and it was easy to find when driving in. Each animal we interacted with was good, the turkey will climb on your shoulder and the cats will sit on you by the fire. We are very happy and plan to come back again!
If you want a more private stay I would recommend booking both the tent site and the cabin if possible. The out house and fire pit are communal so if you don’t you’ll end up getting cozy with some strangers.

We really enjoyed our camping experience at Muddy Myst. There was a ton of helpful information provided before our arrival and more available in the common area. The site felt private yet the common area and restroom were easy to access. I was particularly impressed with the extra touches, fall flowers on our picnic table, very nice soaps and air freshener in the impeccably clean bathroom, and a helpful space to clean up some dishes and get some hot water for cocoa in Hank's Hangout. This site is maintained lovingly.

We parked our short bus at the hill top and had the most RESTFUL stay with Bill and Nancy. No one else had booked the weekdays we stayed and it was such a treat to enjoy the sounds of turkeys, birds, and gentle rain all to ourselves.
Having the flushable toilet on site was wonderful (rare to find). The hilltop felt private as could be. We enjoyed fires for 2 nights with the bundle provided, and there was still a bit left. Pokeberries abundant for painters!
Bill and Nancy are kind, considerate, and have a lovely kept home and property. We were beside ourself with the peace we felt during our stay and will definitely try to stop back on our way home.
There's a rifle range in the distance but for a person who struggles with PTSD, the sounds were few and far between, and distant. For as many stays as I've come across this, it was entirely manageable 🩷 appreciation to bill for the heads up when we arrived/met.

This was our second time tent camping at Mary's Meadow. It feels like a secret little spot in the middle of nowhere. It's quiet (almost too quiet!) and extremely private. You have your own porta potty and enough space for multiple tents. It's also extremely close to town where there's a convenient little store/bar that is great for a creekside refreshment. We also spent time at the Erie National wildlife reserve which was only about 25 minutes away. We absolutely love it here and will be back!

We loved camping at this spot so much! We have two small children with us, and the toddler loved checking out the pond and gazebo. The whole space is beautifully green; would recommend splurging a tiny bit for the site with the great view. The hosts are so wonderful, and they gave us some awesome recommendations for nearby National Parks. Such a blessing to meet them. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome, peaceful scenery! This spot has a real charm to it,:and as soon as you cross that Red, Metal bridge...it's like your in another world altogether. If you need to get away and clear your head, this is definitely your place!
