Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm

We had a lovely trip to Journey’s End! We typically tent camp but found this cabin to be a perfect fit for our annual camping trip! It was close to hiking and white water rafting (within an hour), and had the perfect vibe for our evenings at the site. The land was gorgeous. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area- thank you for the lovely getaway!

3 nights at Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard

This was our first time to Majestic Farm and to the Catskills. It is quite beautiful. We stayed in the Orchard tiny house. For the two of us, it was comfortable. The house is a little further from the kitchen, john and shower but all were quite adequate. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we didn't get to explore the farm as much as we would have liked to. I'm sure at apple picking time, it would be fabulous! The four dogs and 2 peacocks (maybe 3) greeted us when we drove in. Our dogs met and got along with them perfectly. It is rustic but comfortable.

What am amazing stay! My wife, two dogs and I had a fantastic time here. Nice outdoor fire pit with a good amount of wood, and such a cozy cabin. It was great having kitchen appliances onsite for those rainy days. Very comfortable bed, and very fun jumping in the lake with the dogs! We would love to come back.

This is a unique and fun place. So many well thought out spaces. We especially loved the home made chairs around the fire pit and the outdoor kitchen.

The property is adorable and has exactly everything you need for a weekend away. Masen is very welcoming and showed us how everything works and responded to additional questions very quickly. The wood fired hot tub is amazing you simply have to get the unlimited firewood bundle. The tiki torch package is also super worth it. Placing them all around the site just makes the campsite 10X cozier. The record selection was also fantastic and we had so much fun listening inside and outside. My dog also loved it and said it gets 5 stars from him. 10/10 would stay again.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake

The cabin was an old fashion vibe. It has everything you need. It was well stocked. And the owners were friendly. The location was great. The lake was cute. The lake is right out back. But you have to be careful because it is a step area to walk. It is private and no one bothers you. Only problem was the outdoor shower and port a potty. When it rains as it did when we went there is a lot of mud. If you fish early in the morning you will see an eagle. You will hear all kind of animals from bears to frogs and cows. But nothing bothers you. The town is very peaceful.

I loved Sarah's land. The views were nice and easy directions to get there... the only thing is that it was windy and cold and raining so we weren't able to catch any fish almost caught 3 but didn't.. don't go when it's raining it's too muddy.. we didn't even have to bring anything she had everything you need even fresh eggs waiting for you.. the place was well lit and at night just take a flashlight with you to the bathroom... Sarah's husband showed us were everything was, walmart is about 20 to 30 mins away... will definitely go again but when it's not raining and cold.... thanks for the visit

Weekend Trip to The Record Room

Masen's property was an amazing place to stay. The cabin is just perfect -- impressive craftsmanship, great use of space, and cozy enough for our family of 5. The records were fantastic, and porch speakers let you hear the music outside. The hot tub was so much fun to use (definitely get the firewood package when you book). The kids loved exploring the property, searching for fairy houses (and building some of their own). The outhouse was adorable! My kids hate using pit toilets but had no issues with this outhouse - it was lovely inside. Masen was a wonderful host, and provided everything we needed (water, fire starters, torches). We will be back!

From NOFX to Lynyrd Skynyrd, listening to all of the albums on the record player was a dream! While we did go on an excursion to the Catskills, we could have stayed and enjoyed ourselves foreverrrr. Not only does the nature and cabin provide the most amazing backdrop for a getaway, but the Rio Dam, Hawks Nest Lookout, and Point Jarvis attractions are minutes away! Our two dogs LOVED the privacy of the spot, and we loved the outdoor kitchen, hot tub, and that bed was soooooo comfy! With the added perks of endless firewood and tiki lights, our stay on Masen's land was truly magical! Thank you for taking such good care of us!!

Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm

Another lovely visit to Journey's End! We were early in the season so it was chilly, but we had an amazing time away from home with friends. We rented both cabins and both treehouses so the kids in the group had different places to explore and options for sleeping. Made for a very fun weekend; visiting the goats and chickens, cooking by the fire, even got a little fishing in on the small pond in the back of the property. And we wouldn't leave a weekend at JE without bringing home some of their maple syrup - it's really amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

The River's Edge

The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time!
