It's in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest amd has access to close by hiking trails and great fishing streams as well as nearby the Allegheny River. The Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch is very nearby for horseback riding. There is no running water, but there is a spring that is about a 2 min. drive away and jugs at the cabin for fetching water.

A full kitchen is available as well as bathrooms with showers. No potable water is available. The pond was created and stocked in 2022. Bring your fishing poles and rafts!! Kayaks are available for campers also. There are many, many trails available for hiking including an enchanted fairy trail. Train lovers will especially welcome the distant sounds of the iron horse passing by. The cabin does not have electricity or running water. Firewood, indoor heat, electric lanterns, and an outhouse are available for guest use. Minimal AT&T and Verizon cell service. In winter an AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended to access the cabin.

2 nights at R&R Rustic Acres

We were the very first to stay at this beautiful piece of property with a gorgeous sunset and wildlife. We had one minor problem and Kyle was on it. His communication is excellent. Site was very secluded and very peaceful. If you want to unplug then this is the place to do it. One thing we would recommend is if you are bringing a trailer to this site then insure that you use your 4 wheel drive.

1 night at Country Cabin

This place is truly a gem. On a farm, but very secluded and quiet. Great views in all directions, at anytime of day (sunset was exceptionally good, and we were fortunate enough to have a full moon with intermittent clouds moving by, so it was pretty cool at night). The cabin was perfect for sleeping (no need to set up a tent - bed was very comfortable). There was room for a blow up mattress in the cabin as well. Campsite was also stocked with wood. This is one of my favorite hipcamps that I’ve been to. Very well done! It’s clear Kate and her husband put thought and effort in to this!

We had an amazing time at the Country Cabin. If you are looking for privacy, farmland, and a relaxing trip- this is the place for you! The cabin was updated and clean. The outhouse was nice and clean as well! Would definitely recommend, and look forward to coming back.

Weekend Trip to Country Cabin

This cabin was such a lovely getaway! My husband and I had a wonderful time enjoying the peace and quiet while soaking in the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the land. The outhouse was in great condition as well! The only slight issue we ran into was the firewood being rotted and pretty damp but even then we were able to get a fire started and stay warm. I definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back sometime soon!
