Such a fun site! Easy to find, perfect amount of lighting to navigate at night. Plenty of privacy from the road. We had no trouble finding a comfy place to set up our tent. The campsite has easy access to swimming spots down the road and isnât too far from a couple towns. Great place to explore and take pictures!
If you are looking for a step off the beaten path then this place is for you. We tent camped for 2 nights. It is a lot more private than the pictures look. There was plenty of nice level ground to pitch tents. Looks like the RV electric was easy to access. The port-a-potty was one of the cleanest I have seen. We picked this spot, in part, for the motorcycling. The roads were perfect. Oh, and the diner / tavern across the river had a fantastic breakfast. We did not have time to do any fishing or canoe rentals but maybe next time. It looked like a great spot.

Awesome campsite! It has a super relaxed and slightly creepy vibe and a peaceful setting, but itâs still close to a lot of great spots in the Allegheny National Forest. Levi was a fantastic host and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Having water at the site was really convenient, and being able to buy firewood on-site was a nice bonus. We had a great time and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
Really beautiful property! Levi was a great host!! Check in was so easy and loved the fact wood was available for a very reasonable price to purchase. Made it so convenient! The schoolhouse added a definite extra flare. Would definitely recommend a stay here!! It rained a lot while we were there and it did not flood which was awesome!! You cannot beat this property! The area was very quiet and spooky, was fun to camp at. The area was very flat, so its good for RV camping, not so much for tent camping though due to the fact that the majority of the camping area is on a overgrown asphault surface.

A perfect way to mix up your camping experiences. The building is in rough shape so donât plan on entering. Camp site is private and sets you up for a one of a kind night under the stars.
What an absolutely amazing sight! from the school to the forest behind, the neighbors with the chickens and birds, the star gazing!!! the old school is so cool!! having the water on sight is so perfect, too!! We will for sure be booking future stays here.
Amazing place to camp. The new fences make it even more private. Having the whole place to yourself is the best.

We brought a pop-up camper and had scads of space. A privacy fence separated us from the neighbors, with the old school also offering seclusion. Great ambiance, and the spectres let us sleep peacefully. Nice location, will definitely consider going back.
This was unique spot to spend the last night of summer. The site was a well maintained, with the grass just being mowed and free from previous guest trash. The porta potty was clean and did the job. You can tell a lot of work has been done with the new privacy fencing and gravel driveway. We had no issues maneuvering our 23 ft RV into place

I loved staying there the school house is creepy which that's was what I was going for. But lots of room to do stuff. And pretty close to towns . Lots of place to fish near buy. I'm deffently going to book with him again

We tent camped, had a fire, watched fireflies and really enjoyed taking photos of the abandoned schoolhouse. The host has put a lot of solar lighting up to really make your photos pop as well as assuring your safety navigating the property in the dark. Really unique location, we enjoyed it tremendously and I know we will talk about it for years to come.
Extremely fun and great camp site for a big group of friends. Only would go if itâs not raining it dose get very muddy!

Absolutely gorgeous area! The school was exactly what we signed up for, very interesting to spend some time around. The towns were close and there were some awesome local restaurants. The woods were super cool to explore and the front yard of the school had the perfect amount of room for yard games and such. Plenty of wildlife, found a baby porcupine in the woods very close by! Would definitely recommend!!

I enjoyed my stay. It was a quiet night, w. awesome dim lighting making the camp serene, especially the treeline and" the school. I'd recommend it" đ
We really enjoyed the campsite & the attention to detail. The running spring water & clean portable potty was a huge bonus. Levi is a great host & is easy to contact.
Fresh eggs & cut camp wood on site for an additional price make things even easier. The eggs are super tasty too.
There is a lack of shade till the afternoon so we recommend bringing a canopy or finding an afternoon activity to do locally.

This was my first Hip Camp booking and I was really happy with the great communication from the host, Levi. The directions to the site were great and helped locate the spot perfectly. Unfortunately there were bad rain and thunder storms while we were there overnight so we didn't have an opportunity to explore much of the area - but the location is really cool. Hope to go back in some better weather - thanks again!

This is such a unique piece of property and my husband and I, along with our dog loved exploring it! We got a ton of great pictures!
Abandoned school was a fun trip! Property was well maintained and dangerous areas safely gated off while still viewable! The property is decently lit at night and the porter potty was cleaned very well!
Site is absolutely breathtaking and the school is open for exploration. Owner is incredibly kind and responsive. Could not reccomend more, I'm definately going to stay here again in the future.

We had a great time on Leviâs property. It had such a cool spooky vibe at night. We enjoyed the way the walkway was lite up to the old schoolhouse and we felt we had the privacy we wanted. Already planning another trip back for next year.

This was one of the more unique camping experiences Iâve had per the obvious property backdrop. Levi was very accommodating and provided quick responses to any queries throughout our stay. Another nice feature was all the accent/guide lights at night, which were not too bright and obnoxious but rather tasteful and useful for seeing. My boys were (and I, no less), of course, intrigued by the abandoned school house itself! (I wish it had been a little less dilapidated and thus explore-worthy, but it was still fascinating.).

It was perfect for a spooky camping trip.
Haunted hallways was a very fun site. You have plenty of different bird voices for neighbors. The ambiance of the abandoned school is one the most unique and interesting places we've camped at. Levi the host is a 5 star host. He was very helpful, friendly and communicative. The setting of being in the Allegheny National Forest and the abandoned school set us up for a very peaceful and pleasant camping experience. The site felt private and relaxing. We will be releasing a video of our visit on our YouTube channel Get Livin. Thank you, Levi, for making this gem of a camp site available. We tent camp and recommend anyone interested in dispersed camping, don't pass up your chance to stay at the Abandoned School House.

My family & friends thought I was nuts booking this stay. Glad I did! A spooky abandoned school located on Route 666 (Highway to hell?) As I was taking the night pics it began to thunder and lightning only while I was taking the pics and the short walk back to the van next to the school. Once I was in the van it stopped. Kinda creepy and eerily cool đŹ đť
