Allegheny River Treehouse Campsite
I love camping in this island, this was my second time camping here, first time I did two night and two days and the second one was one night with hot tenting camping. The island itself is so beautiful it’s 46acres so you barely see other campers plus the site are far from each other. Michaela the island owner she is very nice an accommodating. There’s a cabin in the middle of the island which is very nice. You can check my YouTube video if you feel skeptical in this place to see how beautiful the island is. My YouTube channel Elirita Shurina. Skip the whole video and go the the very end to see the beautiful cabin in the middle of this island, and if you wanna see the owner also go fast forward and go to like in 3mins in my video Michaela was featured there riding her ATV, she brought the rest of my camping stuff in my site. Also you can follow her in Facebook Paddle Moor co, Kayak&Rental. Guys give this a try and you will fall inlove this place

This place is awesome! It was my fiancé’s first experience camping and she hates the cold. She had a great time and now loves camping. We also really enjoyed hanging out with the hosts and other guests. As an experienced camper over all experience 1-10 I rate 110

River Island Treehouse
What a gem!! We stayed in the treehouse after a day hike in ANF! Michaela was such a sweetheart. We loved the ride across the river to get to our site! Michaela canoed us over! You go, girl!! There is a communal space with a kitchen, bathroom , electricity to charge devices and a really nice heated outdoor shower. A stocked coffee/snack area which was greatly appreciated. PACK LIGHT, as if you’re backpacking. You will regret it if you don’t. There’s a short walk once you cross the river. At the site, Michaela had a hammock setup, right by the river ((chefs kiss) . We enjoyed pulling our gear up on the pulley. We were close to the road but the cars sounded like the wind blowing so it wasn’t a distraction at all. The island have many trails to explore. Just a beautiful space to be! My only issue is when it’s time to go to the bathroom lol! You can already imagine what I mean lol!

Allegheny River Treehouse Campsite
Amazing weekend!!!!!
We booked the tree house camp site and it was worth every penny! The experience my partner and I had with our dog was priceless. Mikaela and Ryan greeted us with their super friendly puppy, Annie! My dog usually is very picky with who he plays with but Annie’s got his little heart. Our dog is usually on leash all the time but throughout our stay, our dog was off leash and he had the time of his life running around with us and walking around the island, swimming and also kayaking! Mikaela provided us with more than we asked for and was super friendly and accommodating all throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome spot!!! Had a whole trips worth of fun before my tent was even set up! Great to get out there and be surrounded by the river. Michaela was very helpful and was happy to answer all of my questions. If you’re looking for an adventure and some great memories, look no further.

Experiencing Island time
We had a wonderfully relaxing and adventurous weekend on the island - camping, kayaking, hiking, and lounging. We even got to spend a night in our tent in the treehouse, complete with a pulley system to transport our gear! The island is large enough to have several private campsites and is surrounded by the calm and beautiful Allegheny river - great for kayaks and skipping stones. Michaela is a very generous host and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was fun and comfortable. Even though we arrived late, she helped us get our stuff across to the island on a canoe, and got us situated. The cabin is equipped with a clean bathroom and all necessary cooking items. Michaela was also hosting another guest in the cabin, but there was a lot of space to do our own thing - she was very helpful with transporting items, suggesting activities, and being a chill and friendly (but not pushy) host. There was also a friendly dog, Annie, running and swimming around. Our time here was excellent and we already want to go back!
