Weekend Trip to Big Sky Sunsets

This is by far one of the best Hipcamp’s i’ve stayed at. Beautiful piece of property. Beautiful sunsets, and plenty of wildlife. Dakota was very accommodating, to say the least. I mentioned something about a spot in the woods and well, he cleared a spot in the woods😂😂. Even went as far as to lend me a critical piece of gear i forgot. Awesome weather too. I will be going back, for sure.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Spring Camp

As we pulled around the windy gravel road, we came upon a clearing across from the Art Trail. Tucked under tall, fragranced pine trees, we found multiple tiki torches leading to an iron table and chairs, situated beside the fire pit. We decided to tuck our tent under the pines on a ground of needles, next to the cozy wooden bench. The grounds were idyllic, full of birdsong and soft breezes. We found a spot for the hammock to lounge in the shade… and while it was a 90’ day, it was pleasant and cooler under the pines. There is a small active stream a short walk from the camp. The owners of Crystal Spring, Rose and Eric, are quite lovely, helpful, and friendly. They came to greet us with a bouquet of various herbs from their garden. Overall, this was such a sweet little getaway. We will definitely be back soon x

We stayed only one night but had a great experience. Tom met us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour around the property. Very welcoming and peaceful place to set up camp. There were other campers at other sites but we didn’t get the chance to meet any of them.

Weekend Trip to 100 Mile View Camping, Jim Thorpe

Great stay. The host and staff were friendly, and introduced themselves as folks arrived. Wine made by operators was tasty, and reasonably priced. Will be back, and want to bring friends for a multi-site stay. The sites are rustic but excellent for easy going relaxation. The road and trail is quite bumpy - go slow and you’ll be fine. Sedans, drive extra slow. Site 11 is off the main view, but provides nice shade and trees mid-site. We were able to set our dog up nicely so he could move freely around. Wood chips instead of gravel is a nice touch. The fire pits are stone, another nice touch Vs metal rings. Super clean - several times I saw the portas checked, trash collected, etc. Everything felt chill, easy going, but maintained. Expect some later crowds, a lil hooting n hollering, the odd generator kick-on, or some other noises - but otherwise it’s spaced out enough to give that room to still enjoy yourself.

We had a lovely time! The hosts were very communicative and helpful. The view is beautiful, each campsite has lots of room, and helpful amenities like a full bathroom and firewood helped make our trip even better than we expected! The sites are on a bit of an incline and there really isn’t any shade, but neither of these things caused us any trouble so as long as you’re prepared for that you will have a great experience. We will absolutely be camping here again!

Kathleen was a fantastic host and made the experience way better. She greeted my dad and I on site, made sure we had everything we need and gave us a run down of the land on where we could hike and what we could do. The site (Site 3) itself was fantastic, perfect spacing between sites, and was well taken care of. I personally have a tent in the back of my truck, there was plenty of room for me to park it and be right on site. Firewood price was extremely reasonable and the site had a dedicated pit and grill grate for enjoying and cooking. I would absolutely camp here again, it felt safe, welcoming, and all together a wonderful nature getaway.

This spot was everything and more! When we arrived, it was pouring! Jenn took us to our site, explained everything, told us to text her if we needed anything and then we got started! 4 tents to put up in the rain!! It was fun and made great memories! The sink, the bathroom, the views and the river, couldn’t ask for anything more! Susan was even nice enough to let us use another site’s access to the river due to a cancellation. We fished and caught a few!! My family of 8 had the best time! And 4 of them were first time campers! I think they expect every site to be this accommodating!! They are in for a surprise!! Lol it was beautiful and we loved every minute of our stay!

I had a lot of fun camping at Jeffery’s campsite. The caretaker on premise was extremely nice and was able to supply lots of wood for a fare price. I stayed 2 nights and was left alone in a beautiful part of NJ. Only thing is no bathroom but lots if places nearby to go. Fire pit was awesome!

Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

The River's Edge

The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Shambala at Mystic Hollow

Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek, which is a stream, is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. Site are a 5 minute walk from main house. The land is flat for walking to the camping area. A slight bit bumpy in a small area. I can manage just fine in flip flops but I did want to provide the information if anyone would be using a wheelchair. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. Tables can be provided. Just let us know ahead of time. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time if you want to check in or out earlier or later. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby would be Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife in the area. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, horses, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. There is a good chance of being visited by racoons at night if your food isn't stored away properly. Also, the deer may walk past in the middle of the night as well. We do also get wild turkey during different times of the year. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions. 420 friendly. LGBTQ friendly. If you are coming from out of state: Pennsylvania has a quarantine order for untreated firewood entering the state to protect its forests from invasive species. Firewood must be kiln dried, heat treated, fumigated, or USDA certified to enter the state. However, commercially imported wood that has been heat-treated according to USDA regulations typically doesn't fall under these bans.

I'm his grandson, a documentary filmmaker helping to make ends meet here by sharing this glorious space with Hip Campers. 50 acres of serene woods, fields, a pond, and Mine Run Creek. This is a place to relax, to get in touch with nature and reconnect with the people you love. Spring Mount Adventures is nearby. The Perkiomen Creek Trail is only a mile away. Crawfish, sycamore trees, foxes, pileated woodpeckers, and more! Caring for the land: please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. Note on dogs: we run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans. Food recs: Raw Replenish in downtown Schwenksville has healthy smoothies and salads. Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Other sites include our lower field and 1 site along side reyburn creek. There is minimal phone service, none at the creek, but our wifi reaches the upper 2 campsites which we will gladly give access. A 2 wheele drive vehicle can make it to all campsites but i would recommend 4 or all wheele drive for the lowersites as the trail can be slick when wet.
