Journey's End Farm is a small family farm offering a diverse selection of ecologically grown vegetables, maple syrup, and free-range eggs. Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us.
While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.

The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest to yourself.
Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You'll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we're happy to shuttle guests and gear. At the waterfront, there's a fire circle, two Adirondack chairs, and a canoe with paddles. Fishing and wildlife watching from the pond edge are genuinely excellent: bald eagles, beavers, deer, ducks, and the occasional black bear on the far end of the property are regular visitors.
Inside the canvas bell tent you'll find a real queen-size bed made up with sheets and pillows, LED camp lighting, and a footlocker stocked with cooking essentials — cast iron skillet, pot, utensils, and dinnerware. The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a second waterside fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. Optional extras include a propane Buddy Heater, two additional cots, and firewood bundles.
The camp is tucked behind our home, so you'll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We're nearby if you need anything, and we mean that.

- Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. We allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Please bring along potable water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available MID May- MID October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups.
- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum mid May through October. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum.**

From the time we arrived at Hippie Havens, Shaggy & Kendra made us feel welcome, made sure we had anything & everything that we needed to make our trip great! Friday evening we spent some time chatting with Shaggy & had a blast, on Saturday we went to the Farmer’s Market and Kendra made me the most delicious iced coffee 😋 that I’m still dreaming of! The cabin was clean, all bluetoothed to control everything inside it & we loved how it was decorated! I got to play guitar a bit too! It was a stellar weekend! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Adam and Karen's land is gorgeous. My partner and I had an amazing time with our dog staying at site #1. The waterfall directly next to the site was only a trickle when we stayed due to the weather, but Adam sent us a list of nearby waterfalls to look at that more than made up for it. It's definitely a steep climb uphill (nearly vertical in some places) but Adam was very helpful and hauled our things both up and down to our car in his atv. The tent was, thankfully, not filled with bugs living inside, which has been my experience in similar longstanding tents. The free firewood had enough for me to make 4 fires which was just enough for our stay. Everything was super well maintained. It was the perfect amount of privacy and support, quiet and help when you needed it. We'll definitely be returning!

Ive done quite a bit of traveling in my time. Have rented numerous places and stayed at numerous bed and breakfasts, cabins, and campgrounds. The hosts at Hippie Haven were the best. It was even groovier than advertised.
I will definitely return again and would highly recommend it to any and everyone. Great atmosphere and location, great vinyl record collection. It was fantastic and they definitely grew smiles when I was there. Thank you Shaggy, Kendra, Taj, and Charly for sharing your little slice of heaven.

Our family’s stay at Beaver Pond was nothing short of magical! Brendan and his family (and their dog) were incredible hosts, and truly thought of everything. Brendan was super communicative and answered all of my questions, including where to get live bait for fishing (shoutout to Sunrise Market)! The tent was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for cooking over the fire. My 7 year old caught two fish, my 3 year old played with worms and slugs, and my husband finally got the chance to use his flint and steel!! Our dog had the absolute time of his life, exploring the woods, swimming and even chasing away a few deer. This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it truly couldn’t have gone any better. The site struck the perfect mix of roughing it but not needing to do everything from scratch. We will definitely be coming back!

Place was amazing. Definitely had the outdoor experience your looking for. Don't make the same mistake my dad and brother did. Make sure you bring waterproof hiking boots (or atleast hiking boots), if you plan on experiencing the trails. The inside is really nice and comfortable. We pretty much stayed outside on the front porch when we weren't checking out all the local things like bushkill falls, poconos zip lines and mountain carts. Has a close by waterfall called marshalls falls, where you can swim and hike. Really had a great time. Owner cared very much about our experience. Really appreciated that. Best part of the driveway is the awesome no trespassing signs. You'll know when you see it.

Camp Dietrich is the perfect little getaway! The owners have truly thought of everything, from Check Point Shed to the way the sites were carefully curated to provide a truly memorable experience. Our kids were ready to visit the waterfalls as soon as we were settled in. The hike was fun and very scenic. Bring trekking poles or a walking stick if you're not comfortable with a little rough terrain. After the hike and taking a swim by the waterfalls, we went up to the playground that is where you will find the zipline. You have two options for cooking available to you: either the propane grill or over the fire pit with the grill grate. We opted for the grill, but enjoyed the obligatory s'mores after making dinner. It did get pretty chilly at night and early in the morning despite being the middle of summer, so keep that in mind and pack accordingly. Overall, you can't go wrong staying here; it's close to the historic downtown of Jim Thorpe, and there are plenty of activities to do if you decide to explore outside of Bear Creek. With kids
Our stay at the Chatham house was wonderful. Our host David was very kind and helpful. The area is beautiful and we felt comfortable with our small children in the area. The land is well maintained and just an overall great experience!
