Our 1/2 acre of land features a creek/trout steam running through the back portion of the property complete with bridge to the other side. Nearby are several hiking trails, state game lands, the Juniata River and various wildlife viewing areas. We also have a blacktop driveway that is 48 feet long that can accommodate an RV/Camper. You will have access to our outhouse and can get water from the creek! We have a 3 season-cabin on the property which is closed for the winter yet we make our 1/2 acre land available to RV enthusiasts and campers who would like a get-away in Juniata County. Everything was clean and well maintained. Loved the wooden platforms, string of lights, fire pit. Unexpected bonus was some firewood and two hammocks already set up. Gorgeous view of the river and so convenient to the bike trail. Check in was a breeze. Note: As an active freight rail line goes alongside the bike trail and river, do expect train whistles and noise several times a night.

2 nights at River Rock Recreation

This riverfront campsite was everything we expected it to be and more! From check-in to check-out, we had the site completely to ourselves. We have 2 reactive dogs, and are always worried about interacting with other dogs at crowded campgrounds. This trip, our dogs were more relaxed than ever, were able to roam the entire site, and exhausted themselves from all the zoomies!! We were rained in most of our second day there, but still had plenty of fun. There was a full shower bag provided, full basin of water for the hand-washing sink, and surprisingly clean bathroom amenities. There are 2 wooden platforms closer to the water, and 1 larger platform toward the back of the site where we set up our tent. All 3 were very well-maintained. There are string lights set up, but you need to rent/have a generator to power them. The fire pit was great, and we had purchased the $10 firewood bundle - Zach left 2 bundles for us in the covered kitchen area. Lastly, if you’re looking to fish, we caught a good sized rainbow trout and a baby catfish! Great trip overall.

The sites are packed together pretty tight, but the campground is very close to the battlefield which is what we wanted. Bathrooms and showers were nice and cleaned regularly.

Great site, sturdy pads, clean port-a-potty, really cool grilltop firepit that we cooked on the whole weekend. Sadly the river current was a bit strong for new canoer/kayakers while we stayed but the more experiences guys still got a few runs in. Directions were clear and straightforward had no problems getting in and out. Overall great time would visit again! One improvement that could be made - the tent pads by the water were hit with pretty strong gusts of wind and we had to get creative using tension straps under the pads to keep them from blowing away. Would be nice if there was a more obvious/convenient way to stake or tie the tents down to the pads, but we figured it out. Thanks Zach!

The closeness to the Battlefield! We were there specifically to tour the Battlefield for 4 days! It was a small pull through, if you were only staying one night you’d have to disconnect your tow vehicle, but our 18’ fit nicely! The laundry/shower facilities were kept clean and convenient! A food truck did come in two nights, there were activities for family and pet friendly!

2 nights at Creekside Getaway

If your looking for peace and quiet then this is the place for you. This is our second trip here and it just doesn't dissapoint. The fire pit on the stream is absolutely amazing. Firewood is provided and the stream provides the coldest cleanest water I've encountered. Will be back again soon.
