This is a nice camping spot in a little hidden valley nestled in a ridge south of Second Mountain. The views of Blue Mountain from the road to the campsite are amazing. If you need firewood, you can get bundles for $5 at 1187 Deturksville Rd (7 mins away). A natural spring has made the ground too soggy to go to the pond unless you have boots. Every now and then a truck might drive by on the paved driveway going to and from the farm up the hill. The only negative for this spot is the industrial/farming noises that came on in the evening. It sounded like loud fan noise in the near distance which was a little annoying. At least it wasn't constant because I noticed it was totally quiet halfway through the night, thank goodness.

Really private peaceful site! A lot of open space, a lot of trees for shade and setting up hammocks. Easy to find, clean, fire pit set up. Enjoyed our camp, would definitely go back!

Was a nice surprise to see the fields of sunflowers! We had plenty of room for a frisbee toss with the tent staked down and the hammock strapped up!

The Meadow
This is a beautiful open meadow space with mowed grass and plenty of shade trees. There is a pond up the back and a spring/creek that runs along one side of the meadow. We had beautiful weather and a nice time. The area is remote and quiet. The fire ring is a nice size and the ground where we parked the camper was level. We would definitely recommend this beautiful spot and would go again.

I car camped by myself at Jairus’s camp. A lot of room,shade and peace! A few great trees to hang your hammock,which I did for hours The sound of the running crick (creek) was very soothing.
Only saw a few other people pass by that share the driveway.met Jairus himself and he was very welcoming and got back to you in a timely manner.
Beautiful scenery on your way in of mountains and beautifully maintained fields! My favorite was the sunflower field!
Heard the fox giggling as the sun set and a rooster doing its thing as the sun rose! I’ll definitely be back
