The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest to yourself. Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You'll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we're happy to shuttle guests and gear. Journey's End Farm is a small family farm offering a diverse selection of ecologically grown vegetables, maple syrup, and free-range eggs. Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.

Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there. Come visit our slice of paradise - you will be glad you did.

In the spring the pond comes alive with the singing of frogs and the blinking of fireflies. Enjoy a campfire in the evening and a brilliant display of stars. The pond is nice for swimming or paddling. We provide a kayak or just sit on the dock or relax in the hammock. The village of Callicoon is a ten minute drive with great restaurants, a brewery, distillery, wine bar, grocery store, vintage shops, live music and a wonderful farmers market on the weekend. From town, you can also book a canoe trip on the Delaware River. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15 minute drive for great concerts and an interesting museum. There will be a list in the tent with suggested activities in the surrounding area if you choose to go exploring. We provide kindling, firewood, bedding, fresh eggs from our chickens and brownies from our kitchen. There is a small cupboard attached to the picnic table with everything you will need for meals on the campfire. A cooler is provided, please bring your own ice. There will be 2 large jugs of water at the site and additional water at the handwashing station on the back side of the outhouse. The site offers total privacy. Parking is within a couple minutes walk to the site and there will be a cart to help you transport your gear. We are a couple of longtime residents of this beautiful piece of the planet and we look forward to sharing it with you.

This cabin has been in my family for over 40 years, and we love to share it's charm with the world! Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only. Little Elk Lake is 43 acres. Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time! Weekend Trip to Frog Pond

We loved out stay at Frog Pond! The setting is amazing, and there was so much thought put into the site to make it so any stay would be enjoyable and relaxing. Before we even got there, Ginny kept an eye on the weather for the dates of our stay. Rainy and in the 40s. So, she reached out to let us know that she would be supplying a heater for the tent so we could stay warm. She also maintained contact during our stay to ensure that we were comfortable. The additional tiny touches, such as the freshly laid eggs and probably the fudgiest brownies I have ever had, definitely stood out. And we appreciated the folder of suggestions of things to do in the aread that can be found in the tent. The site tself was gorgeous and we had fun exploring the area. Definitely recommend staying, and already can't wait to go back ourselves!

2 nights at Mountain Bliss

Not only my partner and I enjoyed our stay, but our fur babies had such a lovely time too. We had the most wonderful stay at Mountain Bliss and are so thankful for the amazing hospitality. Host Marion was incredibly welcoming, kind, thoughtful, and very helpful throughout our stay. She even let us borrow power banks when we needed them, which we truly appreciated. You can really feel how much care she puts into making guests feel comfortable and at home. We loved everything from the peaceful overall view, the rustic toilet setup, the big trash bins for convenience, and especially the heater that kept us warm during the changing warm-cold night weather. Every day felt relaxing and cozy. If you’re looking for a much-needed escape from the busy city life like we were, this place is absolutely for you. Mountain Bliss truly gave us peace, comfort, and beautiful memories with our dogs. We would happily come back again.

Weekend Trip to Daydreamin on Dyberry Creek

My husband and I had a great weekend at this site! It was so relaxing. A Perfectly secluded and a beautiful area. We especially loved all of the ferns and sycamore trees surrounding the site. Drinking coffee on the creekside, watching the fog on the mountain was such a lovely way to enjoy the mornings here. The tent was cozy and the veiw from inside or on the porch was just so peaceful. Ryan was a great, laid back host, with excellent communication and we really enjoyed how everything was set up at this site. We loved the nearby town as well. Honesdale has a great little main street, bustling with local shops and restaurants, really worth checking out. We completely fell in love with the area and will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I had a beautiful time at the Beaver Lodge. It is very romantic and private. On a clear night, you can see so many stars as you look up from camp! It's really special to have the pond in your backyard. It feels like your own secluded peninsula. We loved cooking by the fire, sketching on the dock hearing the frogs plopping into the water, and sleeping nestled together inside the spacious yurt. Brendan and Jessica thought about so many details to make sure we were cared for. They were responsive and helpful hosts. The Beaver Lodge was the perfect balance of being in nature and having our essential needs met. We felt one with the trees and as if time was given back to us. We hope to return some day!

We had a great stay. The site was exceptionally well stocked. The hosts provide 5 gallons of water as I believe was described, but that won’t go super far if you’re doing dishes etc. the site is definitely a work of love with tons of random little details. The whole site is called slumberland at rivers edge if you’d rather book with them directly (which I’d do if I went back).

We’ve spent an amazing weekend on the Sunrise tent territory. There is a plenty of shade so it’s not all under the sun, so not as burning hot as it would’ve been if it was under the direct sunlight. Water was freezing but I guess some people still swim there, a very rapid current though so be mindful. The host was very thoughtful and asked us ahead of time around what time we are coming so he could have everything set up before arrival time - we already had the dinnerware set up and lights on by the time we came. He responded very quickly and was very nice. The only two things to mention - the toilet area was not the best in terms of convenience but pretty clean and no smell. And the second thing - we saw a black bear walking across the river but obviously that is not pertaining to the premises or the host. So just an fyi. Overall, we all had a lovely weekend and would love to come back again!

This was by far the best experience ever! The tent was set up beautifully. It had everything we needed. Running water, shower, toilet, picnic table, fire pit and many more. The Host was very personable. Her family was awesome. They brought us the firewood which you can purchase in advance. Waking up to the outdoors and hearing nature was so serene. I'd you need extra groceries they sell meats, eggs, milk at the farm store. Additionally, the supermarket is 10-15 minutes away. The area was secluded and private. I would definitely be visiting again. We loved it!

Weekend Trip to The Hillside Retreat

The Hillside Retreat is absolutely fantastic! We loved the view of the mountains from the tent, but we loved the view of the stars even more. Lydia and Robert were very welcoming and were kind enough to bring us another fire starter when we struggled to light the campfire. It was very peaceful, and we got the best night's sleep we'd had in ages. Waking up to the rooster crowing was a nice treat! Absolutely wonderful stay, I hope we get to stay here again!
