Magical and quiet. Very helpful and offered many resources.
I loved the set up at Frog Pond. The hosts provided everything I could need: firewood & kindling were all set for me, a full set up of camping cook- & dining-gear, and a spacious tent with a full sized camp bed. The spot was a beautiful clearing in the woods centered on the pond. I couldn't have asked for anything better. 10/10. Will come back for sure
Frog Pond is an absolute hidden gem! We spent our 13th wedding anniversary here, and it was hands-down one of the most memorable, serene getaways we’ve ever taken. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and thoughtful charm of the place completely blew us away.
We were welcomed with homemade brownies that were ridiculously rich, fudgy, and delicious the absolute best sweet treat to kick off a relaxing weekend. Mornings were another highlight thanks to the incredible farm-fresh eggs provided on-site; you can instantly taste the quality in the rich, vivid golden yolks that put any store-bought egg to shame. To top it all off, the scenery is simply breathtaking. Waking up to the peaceful water, surrounding woods, and gorgeous panoramic views made every morning coffee feel like a scene straight off a postcard.
Whether you are celebrating a special milestone or just need to completely unplug and recharge in nature, Frog Pond delivers an unforgettable experience. We are already counting down the days until we can return!

We loved out stay at Frog Pond! The setting is amazing, and there was so much thought put into the site to make it so any stay would be enjoyable and relaxing.
Before we even got there, Ginny kept an eye on the weather for the dates of our stay. Rainy and in the 40s. So, she reached out to let us know that she would be supplying a heater for the tent so we could stay warm. She also maintained contact during our stay to ensure that we were comfortable.
The additional tiny touches, such as the freshly laid eggs and probably the fudgiest brownies I have ever had, definitely stood out. And we appreciated the folder of suggestions of things to do in the aread that can be found in the tent.
The site tself was gorgeous and we had fun exploring the area.
Definitely recommend staying, and already can't wait to go back ourselves!
This location is a treasure and provides privacy and natural beauty. The tent and site are equipped with everything you need to enjoy a wonderful camping experience. Ginny is an attentive hostess! This was our second time at Frog Pond and we are in love with this site!
We had an amazing stay at Frog Pond. The site had beautiful scenery in all directions and was fully stocked and ready for the weekend. The dogs enjoyed getting out of the city and doing some exploring. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a weekend away!

Frog Pond
We spent Labor Day weekend at Frog Pond. Ginnys oasis in the woods was a great palce to spend a few days camping. The platform tent was very clean and there were alot of little personal touches that we havent experienced anywhere else that we have stayed. Ginny provided us with a small space heater for the tent because she was worried about us being cold. Her property is pet friendly and our dog had a great time off leash. Frog pond would definitly be a place we would stay again.
Well appointed site and nice pond teeming with life. Saw some deer. Overall solid camp site. Not as secluded as I’d prefer. Could hear nearby neighbors at times which was unexpected. Host lives very close to camp site. They had eggs and brownies and everything you could need right at the site including a kayak. Would recommend if you’re not too picky about seclusion.
We are absolutely in love with Frog Pond! Excellent place for relaxation and a break from the city. Ginny and Zeke were lovely and responsive and gracious hosts. The camp was well appointed and it turned out we way more than we needed for our stay! Can't wait to return!

Frog Pond
Absolutely loved frog pond! It was just me and my very reactive dog and we both felt super at peace instantly. It’s so quiet and secluded, not a peep from neighbors or a road, which meant my dog was so chill the whole time. The pond is so cute and serene. Once I got there, I didn’t leave for almost 24 hours cause it had everything you’d ever need! Ginny sets the place up so nicely, definitely the easiest camping experience I’ve had. Highly recommend for anyone needing peace from NY or just want to see an awesome spot!
I don't normally like to write reviews, but in this case I had too. This was an amazing trip, on amazing land, run by amazing people. The pond was amazing(even though the tiny fish were ankle biters). The tent and equipment was top tier. There was everything you could need. Nice bed and games and books. Chairs to sit and watch the sun rise. And they even left us a few eggs their hens laid, which were delicious.

A slice of paradise! The site is beautiful and we loved cooking on the open fire and kayaking on the pond. It was private and secluded but easy to find and get to.

Frog pond is a great spot, very cute little isolated pond tucked into the woods. very quiet (except for the frogs and birds!), very private, very nice.
Frog Pond welcomed us with a beautiful oasis all to ourselves. We found the camp site to be exactly as described in the listing and enjoyed every moment. The surrounding woods and property made for great hikes and the local towns provided great food, farmer's market and small shops. The tent was spacious, dry and roomy. The bed was firm and comfortable. Sipping coffee by the fire in the morning as we soaked in the sights and sounds of nature was wonderful. Our hosts were the pinnacle of this experience with their welcoming spirit and attention to detail. What a delight! Thanks, Ginny and Zeke!!
Frog Pond was the perfect getaway! Ginny has set up a truly wonderful place. Not only was it beautiful but it was insanely well supplied with firewood and cooking gear. The tent it self was cute cozy and clean. The addition of an outhouse with sink was a big plus. She even left us eggs and brownies! The spot is beautiful and secluded. Couldn’t ask for a more picturesque spot and a more gracious host.

Everything was great! From the eggs & brownies Ginny provided to all the amenities - extra blankets, cooking utensils, etc. Although the description is very accurate, the camp far exceeded our expectations. It was so peaceful and serene. When planning my next camping trip, I will definitely be checking to see if Frog Pond is available
My dog and I’d stay at Frog Pond was dreamy, frictionless, and safe. Can’t stop gushing about our weekend away. The site was remote enough that we felt secluded, but as a female solo camper, I knew I was close enough to folks if something went wrong. We just brought ourselves and some food to cook, it couldn’t have been easier. Plus - NO CELL SERVICE FTW!

Frog Pond
This campsite is so beautiful, especially during sunset when you can see the reflections in the pond. It's quiet and we had the place to ourselves. Ginny even left a bottle of wine for us. This is a gem and we can't wait to come back.
Frog pond exceeds expectations. A symphony of frog songs, and a light show of fireflies under clear starry skies made for a beautiful summer camping experience! There were spots of shade to relax in while kayaking and enjoy many signs of a super healthy pond - including red-spotted newts. Our host Ginny was very welcoming and communicative, and had the site well kitted out with anything we might need. Main Street Callicoon is a mere minutes away. We would definitely recommend this spot to friends and hope to stay in this peaceful place again.
