In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite. Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. There are a total of 2 sites. The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people. So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. This place was so great that when I sent photos to my wife she told me to get three more nights, called out sick from work on Friday and hopped on a bus to meet me. Hiking path. Clean. Nicely mowed. You can barely see your neighbor over the meadow. In my wife's book it gets extra credit for being down the street from a historic church - we walked there on Sunday for services.

Great location! Just a 10 minute drive from Mohonk Mountain trails which we hiked before setting up camp. We arrived around dinner time and were able to snag a bite and drink at the brewery and listen to awesome live music! The staff were very lovely in both the brewery and attached market. Stayed at the Stonehenge site which was easy to find and equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Porta potty with sanitizing station was located a short walk away which was convenient even in the dark. There was another group camping in our area but they’re so well spaced that it felt private. If you’re a stargazer, this site is stunningly unobstructed. Would stay again!

The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. Wake up in your tent to the sounds of birds chirping, roasters crowing and cows just close enough but just far enough way. On occasion there may be a person driving by to tend to the cattle.

Wahl Dairy Farm has been a family run and owned small farm since 1921 when August Wahl moved their family to Callicoon. August was a butcher by trade, and the farm started as a family homestead, raising their own chickens and cows with the help of a few horses and of course August's father who was very handy and could make axe handles and wooden wheel spokes. The Wahl homestead became Wahl Dairy Farm in the 1940s when August started selling milk, two or four cans at a time, to the creamery. August's son, Vernon, took over the business and built it up; at one point about 100 cows were being milked! Vernon's son Ross took over the farm in 1995 and diversified it. Ross regularly raises chickens and pigs and grows pumpkins, in addition to the 40 or so milking cows currently on the farm (there are also calves and heifers). The farm is about 200 acres in total, including 15 acres of woods, 15 acres of "hunting" land (deer and rabbits roam free in the scrub), and close to 150 acres in production with pasture and hay. We never feed corn silage! We believe the corn gives the milk a more sour taste (you are what you eat!). We're proud that we've always been in grassland and committed to raising a mostly grass fed dairy herd, a quality not found in many diary farms today. We're excited to share this place with you! In addition there is excellent cell phone service on the farm! Great for digital nomads and everyone who needs to stay connected. The site is the second highest point in Sullivan County. A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door. The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool with shower house (summer only), a playground, picnic pavilion, and walking trails.
