This spot is best for a van camp location but plenty of space for tents and hammocks. You'll find a drive-up deck if you wish to park there. Firewood is available providing you use downfalls as kindling in the stone fire pit. A 8x20' deck and picnic table are 20 feet from the fire for stargazing. When the ferns are full grown they are 3 feet tall and everywhere. A 10 minute walk takes you through a dense pine forest with large rock formations and a nice creek with many gurgling fall areas. If there looks like a cave amongst the large rocks, then it probably is a bear den. There is a lot to do near by. Some note worthy locations : Cranberry Glade Lake (good for kayaking or fishing), Ohiopyle, 7 Springs, Fallingwater, Living Treasures, Caddie Shak, and Hidden Valley are all about 25 minutes away. This property also borders Laurel Ridge State Park. There is a Dollar General and a gas station about 15 minutes away for convenience needs.

A stocked trout stream passes through portions of the property and connects to a larger stream with many options for swimming, wading, and crayfish hunting. We had a great experience staying at Spyglass! Thomas was fantastic, we rolled in very last minute, not to mention in a new-to-us camper we had never slept in before :) He was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely beautiful vineyard and we will definitely be back to enjoy the wine and restaurant!

Easy to find and easy to get in and out of. Tracey is responsive and welcoming, helping to get settled and making sure you're oriented. Great spot for dogs. A little close to the road, but lots of open space behind the house to stretch legs after a long drive.

Nice and quiet and secluded. Firewood was there. It was a cold night and was able to setup my tent no problem and park onsite. Directions to site were accurate. Note there is no phone service there, which was not an issue. Had the best night of sleep Ive had in years.

This is a great spot to tent camp under the trees, enjoy a campfire (with firewood supplied!), and stargaze at a relatively secluded spot. The hike down to the creek is beautiful! I would definitely return to this spot.

The campsite was a little tricky to drive back to. Definitely a job for an SUV. That being said, once we pulled up it was nothing but fall leaves, green ferns and dense trees all the way around. Fire wood and a fire pit as promised. Perfect spot for our tent, camp chairs and the all important camp potty. We took our pup and had no issues whatsoever. It is a beautiful site. On Saturday we made our way to Ohiopyle for some hiking. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this HipCamp.

It was a great stop over spot for me. I can’t comment on the area but it seemed friendly and quiet. The sewage setup was very easy. They had a water hose I used to fill up with. And the electric worked well. The property was open and grassed. The owner met me on arrival and was very friendly

This campsite has been one of the best we’ve experienced through Hipcamp! There was tons of room for our pups to run, and we had the place entirely to ourselves. Todd was super great and met us at the campsite to give us more details about the property, which was much appreciated! And added bonus, the campsite had an outhouse/porta-potty!! Overall great experience and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful Space removed from the road. Public Winery right across the street. Wildlife from wild turkey to Red tailed hawks were all around us. Hammock camping worked out well, but 4-6 Person tents also fit the deck quite well. I will be back!

Beautiful land with lots of ferns and hemlock. It was the perfect base camp for us to hike the Laurel highland trail and visit the nearby winery. We enjoyed the short hike down to the creek.

I had a great one night stay at Spyglass Ridge. It was a beautiful property and I had plenty of space in the boondocking area. It’s real convenient to have the restaurant right there and everyone was super friendly. They had a Brett Michaels concert scheduled for the night I was leaving and it was cool watching the start of the transition to a concert venue. A really great experience.
