Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. We are located in Southern Oregon. We are off exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. Please bring your own bath towel. Please confirm you can walk up a staircase. There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. This is a glamping experience, partially off-grid, and we hope that you take the time to unplug. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, neighbor's milk, seasonal fruit jam, fresh fruit and berries, vegetables, and sprouted nut butter. We are located near the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. Situated next to our home on a 55 acre farm, our yurt provides a peaceful, relaxing space for up to 5 people. THE SPACE The 20' Pheasant Creek Yurt is completely yours during your stay. Bathroom area in the main house may be shared. For the yurt, there is a queen futon for sitting or sleeping, a double futon bunk/couch with a twin above, dining table with chairs, sink and counter space with toaster/convection oven, mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee pot, rocking chair, wood stove, and other amenities. Your stay will also include space for 2 cars, access to the charcoal grill, deck seating, and access to pasture, creek, and forest to wander. We are located 15 miles from King Estate and other local wineries, 15 miles from the Covered Bridge Scenic Bikeway, 45 miles from Eugene, and 2 hours from the coast, the mountains, and Portland. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5. Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay. Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood. Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Duffy and Hamish, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 12 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Apollo, Minerva, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Farm access is available upon instruction (proper gate security is a must!) Unfortunately pets are not allowed at this time because of the animals. My partner and I truly loved everything about our stay on this beautiful farm. Andrew and Lale were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their cat Bella and the sweetest toddler Aslan made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exploring the nearby reservoir and soaking in the peaceful nature—Cow Creek is just across the road! The view was amazing, and I especially loved the beautiful sunflowers blooming all around this sweet little farm :) The yurt was cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances and a small fridge to a backup battery for power. The king-size bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. We really appreciated the farm’s sustainable lifestyle—zero-waste practices, composting, and a clean, thoughtful approach to living. We definitely look forward to coming back!

We loved staying at the yurt! It was the perfect retreat to disconnect and relax. Andrew was very helpful with explaining how everything works and we didn’t feel like we were lacking anything while staying there. Nearby hikes and creek are beautiful, the yurt was cozy, and the shower was private while still letting you watch banana slugs and listen to the robins sing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The outdoor shower and ethernet cables were both really nice touches, being able to take a hot shower and check my emails was appreciated. I saw the most beautiful sunset over the mountains from the porch of the yurt, and at night there were so many stars. The creek across the street was fun to check out as well.

We had an incredible time staying at the yurt! Andrew was very friendly when he greeted us at the gate and showed us around. We enjoyed exploring the reservoir and river area and spending time in the cozy, but spacious yurt. The bed was very comfortable, the lights were gorgeous and we loved the fire stove. We were nice and warm in the yurt listening to the rain and frogs.

Super cozy place, amazing view! The bed was very comfy and we got to cook breakfast and dinner in the yurt. Really warm through the night and it was such a beautiful experience.
