GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.
The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6).
Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.
Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.
Your host Jim Toler represents the fifth generation of the farm and will happily share stories of the farm and it's history.

Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river.
This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

Crooked Finger Farms has great history. The Farm and surrounding acreage was homesteaded in the late 1850’s-1860’s. You can still pick the fruit from the original heirloom apple and pear trees! The farmhouse, historic barn and outbuildings were built as a dairy in 1915.

We purchased this slice of paradise in 2003 as a place to relax, recharge, and someday build our dream home. It started as nothing more than a gravel road leading to a small clearing with an old bus and a couple decks. Our children have grown up out here learning a deep respect for nature and the real (non digital) world. Now empty nesters, we live on site. The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land!
With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and lay out a few more sites!

Weekend Trip to Glamping by North Santiam River
This a great couples getaway! We spent two nights here and are discussing when we might want to return. The location is fairly close to conveniences without feeling like it is. The tent is located in a distant pasture of a farm overlooking the river and feels private. Other than occasional kayakers going down the river we didnt hear or see anyone else. The tent and site have everything from the propane camp stove to hammocks, camp chairs, picnic table and gas fire pit. You really can pack light, bringing ice/food and clothes which makes for truly relaxing "camping". Owner was responsive, friendly and helpful when the wind pulled out a single rainfly stake (which didnt impact the main tent) and otherwise we didnt see her at all. Unplug and relax! It is nature, so, bring a battery fan or ear plugs if you would prefer not to hear the nocturnal critters (coyotes, rustling in the grasses sounds, owls and so on) but a quiet afternoon nap with a cool breeze coming off the river was amazing. Grateful to have found this HipCamp!

Had an amazing time with my two kids! Adrienne has thought of everything. The tent was beautiful and well stocked with everything you need and more. The site was so beautiful, we loved reading in the hammocks and easy river access. The river is perfect for wading with some deeper spots for swimming (we were here early summer). The bed was incredibly comfortable. Just an all around fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back again!

This place is a gem. Private, lovely and close to Silver Falls and Silverton! We stayed in the cabins, which were a giant step up from camping comfort wise: clean, comfortable, with immaculately clean composting toilets. It feels like really getting away while still being close to many amenities.

This is by far my favorite Hipcamp spot hands down. The host is kind and responsive and makes sure the cabin is set up for your success. You really only need to bring clothes and food. 2 nights at Sweet Relief
Trent's place was absolutely magical. The property is private and beautifully forested, with the perfect balance of sunny spots and woody retreats. The twinkle lights and tiki torches created such a warm, inviting ambiance in the evenings, and the entire space felt perfectly set to help guests relax and unwind.
The accommodations were thoughtfully and simply outfitted. We appreciated the provided firewood, cooler and ice, stove, and just the right selection of kitchen essentials to make coffee and fresh scrambled eggs, generously provided by the chickens who live up the hill. The decor was rustic and charming, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt cozy without sacrificing any of the natural ambiance.
The wood-fired hot tub was the highlight of our stay. Trent had it warmed up and ready for us when we arrived, and we made great use of it throughout our visit. It was such a special touch and made the experience feel truly memorable.
The land itself is stunning. My girls loved exploring, lounging, and enjoying the freedom of being immersed in nature. The property strikes that rare balance of feeling wonderfully wild and peaceful while still offering enough thoughtful amenities to feel pampered.
Trent was an exceptional host. He communicated clearly, was friendly and helpful whenever needed, and also gave us plenty of privacy to enjoy the space on our own.
We loved every minute of our stay and will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to GeerCrest Farm
Charming and cozy. Loved sitting on the deck next to a creek-wetland, watching the birds. Jim is sweet and his sheep are neat and cuddly! Bonus swag, candy lifesavers. Solo female, felt safe.

Such a great stay. The whole farm is so beautiful and serene. We started at the treehouse site. SO beautiful. Sheep came up to us and were grazing in the field on the site with us, there was so many birds, we could hear the creek, and some bats were flying around at sunset! 💗 the treehouse is so cool and well built, and having the picnic bench underneath was great. There was also a swing at the campsite, and the composting toilet was awesome!! So clean, didn’t smell at all, had solar powered lights outside of it and one that came on when you went inside. Hand sanitizer, toilet paper and wipes already there was a great surprise too!! And there were no other campsites nearby so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Jim was also super friendly, he let us borrow chairs since we forgot to pack ours, had plenty of firewood at the site already when we got there, and was available on call when I had a question. I can’t wait until I can visit again!! 💗

Peaceful, quiet, surrounded by nature. The yurt is cozy and comfortable. Ideal "glamping" setup. Will come back again!

Great spot, so peaceful! Fun to sleep in a treehouse and watch the sheep. They may come over to the picnic table looking for a snack!

Highly recommend to anyone wanting a safe, relaxing, family & pet friendly atmosphere.
We absolutely loved our stay. Mike & Stephany are courteous, attentive hosts who seem genuinely eager to ensure their guests are right at home. The “barn” offers everything one might need for an extended stay and is a great place to hang out in the evenings for family game night.
The property itself is very well kept; the sites are private, the grounds are clean and safe for kids to roam. The large, communal fire pit was kept ‘ready’ for s’mores at all times. Our kids also enjoyed playing on the swing set near the barn. The beds in the bunkhouse are very comfortable; quality bed linens and excellent, comfy memory foam (new condition) mattresses on all beds. Potable drinking water is a great bonus for those trying to travel light. We usually travel with our own water filter so the great tasting drinking water was a nice surprise!

Weekend Trip to Miranda's Farm and Recreation
The platform tent and site was great. Was just outside of town but was very quiet with lots of bird song.
Hot tub was great and the host was very nice.
