Eugene is one of those charming Oregon towns that makes you want to stay forever. Craft breweries and theaters dot the downtown, and weekend farmers markets bring out the crowds. Surrounding it all is the breathtaking Willamette River Valley. In these rugged forests and hills, you can camp, hike, bike, and boat to your heart’s content.

Close to town, head for the Armitage Park near Coburg; it’s run by Lane County Parks and is open year-round. This 37-site RV park offers full hookups and picnic tables, as well as an off-leash area for your pets. You’ll also find a variety of campgrounds and premier RV resorts near town, many with free Wi-Fi.

An hour east of Eugene and Springfield, the Willamette National Forest provides 70 campgrounds. At Cougar Crossing, a boat launch allows easy water access. Head to Limberlost for shaded, secluded campsites. If you prefer glamping, cabins and yurts are also available.

*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!

Our piece of heaven… We have 200 acres of timber cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill(bring your own propane or rent a bottle from us), fire pit, patio set, table and chairs. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is long and takes you to peaceful privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade and trim as needed. You can place your kayaks and small boats into the lake at our property. There are 2 other ramps for larger boats elsewhere. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. There are many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. Hi Carly. We had an absolutely amazing time! Your place is so quiet and beautiful. We set the tent up underneath the canopy and it was wonderful. The rain wasn't too much with that extra protection. All the stumps and benches around the fire pit are fantastic for cooking on with my little backpacking stove. And the trailer plug was perfect; the electric car was fully charged in the morning! Next time we are driving south to visit my parents in California, I hope we can stay at your place!

Weekend Trip to Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat

I did hammock camping and it was awesome. The camp spots they have are super sweet, with a nice parking unloading spot right next to their outdoor kitchen. There’s a wheelbarrow to help unload your things(it’s not far, but comes in handy if you’ve got more than a handful) and lots of signs to help direct you to everything. The sauna was pretty much amazing.. almost as amazing as the people there! I would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!! . Still kinda putting it all together but he has created something wonderful. It was a peaceful retreat in nature.

Come walk the pathways through the woods and explore a little slice of Oregon heaven. Please tread lightly and respect native plants 🙏

What a great space! Getting there can be a little tricky since the Maps directions are just a little off and the gate is hard to spot from highway, but if the three of us can pull it off- anyone can! Lots of room for group camping. For its proximity to 101, the site is quiet and feels secluded. Port-a-potty was clean, the fire pit was perfect, and overall we had a great time. Would definitely return.
