We have a private, single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The campsite is near our home, but feels private. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. There are also four restaurants, a food cart, golf course and a general store nearby.

This is a camping accomodation in an RV that is onsite at our property. You cannot drive it off the property, it remains here at all times. Just bring yourselves and your food and belongings! This 30 foot RV has a queen size bed, seating and dining area, small kitchen space, shower, toilet, refrigerator and electric, wifi and water hookups. Septic dumps are our problem, not yours. Enjoy a fun getaway near Bend for a reasonable price. Up to two dogs allowed. Historic farm property with standing structures from the early 1900's including the schoolhouse in our driveway and smokehouse at the very back of the lot. Our neighbor across the street grows 30 acres of the best alfalfa around, and we also have ranchers nearby raising sheep, top quality cattle, horses, pygmy goats, rehabilitated former race horses and even peacocks! Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. We were so honored to be named one of Oregon's top rated HipCamp sites in 2020 and 2021! Thank you! We have taken a break from hosting the last few years and are happy to be back with this new option. Nearby: Explore trails and Bureau of Land Management (free and open federal property) access nearby for mountain biking, hiking and more. You are welcome and encouraged to explore our property and enjoy all of its peaceful tranquility, including two beautiful ponds. You can walk your dogs without leaving the premises. Kids love our giant tree house. This is a great place for those with dogs and families. We have dogs and cats but they are friendly with other animals. What a magical spot! Stayed in a car tent setup and it was perfect for me as a solo female camper, the hosts are so very kind and I appreciated having folks nearby but also felt totally private. The river is amazing to sleep to and there is a lovely grassy area to hang out / dip as well as a secret hammock nook :) As another note, my anxious dog was able to enjoy this campsite without triggers or distractions and I appreciate that so much! We will be back many times next summer and highly recommend, especially for solo campers or couples or if you have a dog who needs a bit of private space!

What a beautiful, magical little spot to spend some time. It's right by the river so you see rafters going by every once in a while. Fell asleep to the sounds of the river and forest. It was very relaxing. There's a cute restaurant about a mile away but it's a pleasant enough walk. Definitely recommended!

This campsite is like something out of a dream. The views are stunning, as are the sunsets behind Mt. Jefferson and watching shooting stars in the clear night sky. The horses, the canyon, the sound of coyotes in the distance at twilight... We happened to come on a very hot day (92) and were glad we had a canopy to provide a little shade since the campsite is in full sun. The port-a-potty was perfect for us, and the running water was right at the site and very clean. Our kids (9 and 12) managed very well on the land and loved the horses. I wouldn't recommend it for campers with toddlers since it is a working ranch, and you need to be able to pass under/through fences to visit the horses and the canyon. Truly unforgettable!

A magical experience amid the horses and high desert! We had a wonderful time at this campsite. Some items to note, it was extremely hot in mid-July and there was no shade at the site, so bring your own shade. There is a nice, short walk to the canyon rim near the campsite, though we found it chock-full of foxtails and it passes through an area with a horse that doesn't like dogs--all in all, we probably wouldn't bring our dog next time, or maybe leave him in the tent for that walk. There were also some dogs in a neighboring house that barked quite late into the night, so we were glad we brought some earplugs. For these mild inconveniences, you get breathtaking scenery and a moonrise over the buttes that was absolutely to die for--we will absolutely visit again!

This lodge is so special! Thoughtfully designed and newly renovated with all the essentials I could ask for. If you’re looking for a great location, epic vibe and stunning views this is it. High quality linens, cozy outdoor spaces to relax and plenty of mountain town amenities (grill, yoga mats, outdoor gym area, hot tub and cold plunge, hammocks, and more!). Owl, the host, has such a welcoming presence and truly exudes care for the space and guest’s experiences. I hope to return soon to enjoy this sweet spot, and to hike more around Sisters. Highly recommended this spot— always Support local!

A great place for families and pets. The Host was very welcoming, communicative and friendly. The place wasn’t too far from Sunriver and Mt Bachelor so we got to get good food in Sunriver and play in the snow at Bachelor. The RV we stayed in was plenty warm on a cold night. The porch area has heaters to hang out on cold nights. Our dogs loved being able to run around in the fenced in yard.
