Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. Nearby: Explore trails and Bureau of Land Management (free and open federal property) access nearby for mountain biking, hiking and more. Kids love our giant tree house. This is a great place for those with dogs and families. We have dogs and cats but they are friendly with other animals. Simply stay on our 5 acre property with complete hook ups if you're looking to avoid the bustle of downtown and it's hotel prices! Our property is about 5 acres and tent spots are first come first serve with about 1 acre being closer to our house with shady grassy areas. The other 4 acres are in the pasture and mostly unshaded. Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. We offer shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars. If coming for The Farewell Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds for the weekend so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!! Great camping spot! We showed up on a whim, booked a site, and had a nice night camping! The stars are mind blowing. The area is pretty sandy though, so be prepared for some cleanup afterwards. There was also a verrrry friendly kitty that came to say hi (and tried to go home with us) which added some fun to the evening.

Weekend Trip to Rags To Rescues Sanctuary

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

1 night at Sage Ridge

Sandy and Tim’s tipi was so fun and it’s beautifully made! Inside, it’s spacious enough to setup camp and still stand and easily move around. The fire pit was worth it on a cold night as it easily kept us cozy and warm all night. The community space is thoughtfully setup with many resources. The tuxedo cat (unsure their name but we called them “Noodle”) joined us at the community space, then followed us back to the tipi. We were happy to have their companionship, but heads up in case that’s not your preference because it did sneak its way through the main zipper of the tent. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Hipcamp! The pictures show what you actually get! The camp was very clean and well maintained! There were tons of activities and amenities! Would be a great place to take the family camping! We had the whole campground to ourselves, it was very quiet and relaxing. We had our two dogs with us and it was very accommodating for them too! The campground cat even came for a few visits! You can tell that the hosts take a lot of pride in their campground and work hard to make it a safe place for all!

This site was easy to access from the highway. Maybe too easy since we could hear the cars and trucks from the highway, but it was not an overwhelming noise. Otherwise very clean, quiet, and just as the description said. There were only two other campers, I think, so no problems with the toilet capacity.

Such a beautiful spot! The shed was surprisingly cute, cozy, and romantic! The yard was huge and seeing the ducks was such a pleasure. We love being to bring our pups as well. The shed was super comfortable all around and we found the bed to be comfortable too. Nick was super responsive when we couldn’t figure out how to turn the sink on. The composting toilet was super easy and clean!

Weekend Trip to Sage Ridge

Site is well-configured for privacy while also enabling community space. Not too far from Bend, but far enough to be quiet and have very clear night skies free from light pollution (excellent views of the Milky Way). Main gravel road is well-kept and portable toilet was set up with hand soap and water for hand washing. The site kitties are cute and playful, but I would caution against letting them snuggle up too tightly. One of them got a bit excited and left scents (from glands) on our sleeping bags, and that forced us to abandon open air sleeping for tent camping.
