Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash or confined in a pen. The neighbors at the adjacent fenced property to the east have a couple of very friendly but curious dogs that like to be introduced to any newly arriving animals!
When you request a booking, please tell me what kind of RV you'll be bringing, and confirm whether it is fully self-contained (with toilet and holding tanks). Also, you must park your RV and any other vehicles on the graveled surface to prevent damage to the underlying water system. Quiet generators may be used between 8am-8pm.
Summers & holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum stay. All other times require a 3-night minimum.

There is a boat launch about 1/4 mile away on Snow Goose Drive, and scenic bike trails in Caldera Springs (about 3.5 miles away), as well as in Sunriver (about 5 miles away).
Local restaurants include Village Bar and Grill, Josie K's Deli and Kitchen, Marcello's, Cafe Sintra, and Blondie's Pizza. There is a small general store (open during the summer) at the Thousand Trails campground on Century Drive, just a short drive away.

Hey y'all! As much as we would love to share our space with everyone, we cannot accommodate tent camping since we don't offer an outhouse. While here you'll get to watch the sunset behind the Cascades and stargaze into the night, at our high desert sanctuary. We have 2.5 acres surrounded by sage and rabbitbrush, bunchgrass and juniper trees. My partner and I live on the property along with our dog, cats and chickens. In addition, you will most likely witness cottontails, deer, and quail, as well as many bird species. At night, you may be lucky enough to be serenaded by local coyotes and owls. We are located atop a peninsula straddled by the Deschutes and Crooked river canyons, with access to golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, climbing and kayaking just minutes away! We are also a short 20 minute drive to Smith Rock , 35 minutes to Lake Billy Chinook, and 40 minutes from Bend or Sisters. There is a small trading post in the canyon with gas, limited groceries and made to order sandwiches. For dining, there is a local tap house with food trucks, and a restaurant and bar on the golf course. We offer water and 50 amp electric. If a fire ban is not in effect, we have a fire pit for your use. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine at our bistro table, listening to the birds chirp. Please respect our privacy and do not enter the fenced yard. We are happy to provide information and recommendations on the area, but if you would prefer zero contact we can accommodate that as well! When available, we can offer split firewood, beer and fresh eggs for sale! Also, our home is located next to one neighbor to the south, the local fire station to the north, and 185 acres of rangeland to the west, on a paved road. Great site! Effortless check-in/check-out. Morning view of the canyon was priceless! Many farm animals on the property along with some guard dogs. Very close to Smith Rock!
Bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear the dogs barking through the night. Other than that, great stay!

Beautiful private river to swim in with gorgeous mountain (?) backdrop. If you’re an animal lover then you will especially love this site. Tons of friendly and beautiful animals to visit! If you’re a carnivore then you must check out the dream fridge of ranch meats. John and Hoss were so friendly and generous — if I am ever in the area again then I would love to come back. 10/10

This place was beautiful! From the moment we arrived, it felt calm, peaceful, and like the perfect little escape. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He gave us free firewood, showed us around the ranch, and even let us meet and pet all the animals (which was awesome!). Being surrounded by that beautiful scenery was so refreshing, and getting here was super easy. We’re already talking about our next trip back. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Enjoyed the stay for 2 nights, definitely felt safe by the river and left for Bend for the day for some paddling and came back feeling okay about leaving our tent. The river was a bit low because it's summer but that's fine we weren't planning on paddling in there to begin with. Everyone we met at the farm/camp was friendly, there were a lot of animals around from the farm, also at night just a lot of wild animals/bird sounds and a big storm passing overhead. I'd recommend for anyone planning on seeing Smith rock or just wanting to camp somewhere wild that's not a forest for a night. There was a guy fishing down there in a parallel site. This is not like camping in the forest where you have silence and trees, this is camping out in a very wild field with a river and at night occasional headlights of cars passing by but that part's not so bad. All of the camp sites appear to be right next to each other and there's a single portapotty. The host was nice, he came down and said hi and chatted a few times. I appreciated the stay overall but maybe not the place to get away to "fix your marriage" or something. :]

This campsite is like something out of a dream. The views are stunning, as are the sunsets behind Mt. Jefferson and watching shooting stars in the clear night sky. The horses, the canyon, the sound of coyotes in the distance at twilight...
We happened to come on a very hot day (92) and were glad we had a canopy to provide a little shade since the campsite is in full sun.
The port-a-potty was perfect for us, and the running water was right at the site and very clean.
Our kids (9 and 12) managed very well on the land and loved the horses. I wouldn't recommend it for campers with toddlers since it is a working ranch, and you need to be able to pass under/through fences to visit the horses and the canyon.

Ill start with. AMAZING!! We were in the private area. They helped us find where to go on 4 wheeler (but there is a sign too) and led us to a little oasis. The alpacas were so cute but they said no thanks when I went for a pet. Shade cloth, picnic table and right on the crooked river. We came with a big truck and 28' long camper trailer. We were initially nervous pulling in because it was narrow but it was totally fine going nice and slow. Wide enough turns for no anxiety. It was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Loved camping on John & Sarah’s land. The directions and signs were clear and easy to find, and the spots were clearly marked as well. The shade was nice, the garbage cans were securely fastened, and the facilities were clean. The view wasn’t so bad either! 🤩🩷

Bobbie and her family were more than we could have ever hoped. Besides going out of her way to offer daily breakfast (which was so fresh and perfect for our festival weekend fuel), Bobbie accommodated driving us to and from Fairwell festival all weekend. Despite us giving her trouble finding a meeting spot, Bobbie always had a smile and was excited to just converse more with our group.
The farm itself is the perfect open space. We felt our spot was private and sound did not travel. The farm gets beautiful sunsets and generally just offers a very peaceful environment, perfect for whatever you need for your stay. Highly highly recommend choosing Bobbie, her family and their beautiful farm for your stay!

We went to a music festival in Redmond Oregon and this location is 10 minutes up the road. Host was on site and super attentive to all of our needs. What really makes this camp special is the views. It was so nice to be away from the crowds and find some solice.
This would be a great location if you are visiting Oregon for some rock climbing or outdoor fun.
Bobbie gave us a nice little recommendation for a swimming hole. We rolled in with a birthday boy and Bobbie helped me make the day special. We will be coming back!!

We had stayed on Leslie's land about 3 years ago and enjoyed ourselves--this trip was even better as she has built a lovely screened gazebo with a large lounging couch overlooking the river. Spent a lot of time there reading and relaxing, it was lovely! Highly recommend this scenic and quiet site for a getaway.

A magical experience amid the horses and high desert! We had a wonderful time at this campsite. Some items to note, it was extremely hot in mid-July and there was no shade at the site, so bring your own shade. There is a nice, short walk to the canyon rim near the campsite, though we found it chock-full of foxtails and it passes through an area with a horse that doesn't like dogs--all in all, we probably wouldn't bring our dog next time, or maybe leave him in the tent for that walk. There were also some dogs in a neighboring house that barked quite late into the night, so we were glad we brought some earplugs. For these mild inconveniences, you get breathtaking scenery and a moonrise over the buttes that was absolutely to die for--we will absolutely visit again!

Lovely stay. Wonderful owners. The property is beautiful with lots of animals and beatuiful scenery with the river and mountain. Has a little farm store where you can buy eggs, ,meat etc. Our daughter got a ride on their three wheeler showing the property which she loved. Highly recommend.
