Learn more about this land: Hey y'all! As much as we would love to share our space with everyone, we cannot accommodate tent camping since we don't offer an outhouse. While here you'll get to watch the sunset behind the Cascades and stargaze into the night, at our high desert sanctuary. We have 2.5 acres surrounded by sage and rabbitbrush, bunchgrass and juniper trees. My partner and I live on the property along with our dog, cats and chickens. In addition, you will most likely witness cottontails, deer, and quail, as well as many bird species. At night, you may be lucky enough to be serenaded by local coyotes and owls. We are located atop a peninsula straddled by the Deschutes and Crooked river canyons, with access to golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, climbing and kayaking just minutes away! We are also a short 20 minute drive to Smith Rock , 35 minutes to Lake Billy Chinook, and 40 minutes from Bend or Sisters. There is a small trading post in the canyon with gas, limited groceries and made to order sandwiches. For dining, there is a local tap house with food trucks, and a restaurant and bar on the golf course. We offer water and 50 amp electric. If a fire ban is not in effect, we have a fire pit for your use. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine at our bistro table, listening to the birds chirp. Please respect our privacy and do not enter the fenced yard. We are happy to provide information and recommendations on the area, but if you would prefer zero contact we can accommodate that as well! When available, we can offer split firewood, beer and fresh eggs for sale! Also, our home is located next to one neighbor to the south, the local fire station to the north, and 185 acres of rangeland to the west, on a paved road. One can, at times feel totally alone, while other times, the local pickups and harley davidson's like to be heard. We appreciate where we live and want to share that with you!Hey y'all! Peaceful location with a killer view of the Cascade mountains. Water and electricity available. Close to a wonderful vineyard and an organic farm. Plus Smith Rock.

Great hosts. We reserved last minute-not a problem for them! They were kind and helpful with recommendations for MTB biking and just overall nice people. Site was easy to pull into, quiet, and had power and water.

Secluded Spot With A Great View

Crooked River Ranchette

Caitlin was a very welcoming, easy-going host. We backed into the gravel lot next to her house which backs up to a view of the Sisters, Mt. Washington, and Black Butte. She had power and water available which was a huge plus since we could run our fans all night. We definitely recommend 10 Peak Paradise and would absolutely stay here again.

Safe and easy site off the beaten path. We only stayed for one night and left early in the morning but the host was there to help us get settled upon arrival. Very communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay again :)

It was very pretty at sunset and the peeks were stunning. They had cute dogs named Tricky and Sophie. There’s a nice pool not far away and you will need Sergio’s help. Just text him, he will give the information you need. Over all one of the best places yet.

Crooked River Ranchette

This is the type of Hipcamp I aspire to be like! Caitlin’s estate is simply gorgeous—from the house itself, the fence chicken and dog run, the surrounding flora, and of course the grand view of the mountains (Three Sisters and Mt. Hood, I believe). This is one of those views I’d sit and gawk at all day. The best perks to Caitlin’s Hipcamp are: a cooler with cold beer, seltzer, and fresh eggs (!) and the direct access to water & electricity. The drinks were not only delicious but a fantastic price, and so few Hipcamps offer electricity, so it was greatly appreciated (especially after traveling a few days without access to a charging station). We had a strong phone reception, too. Useful for days working while on the road! Firewood is available for purchase for use at their fire pit. Caitlin also sells firewood. The campsite, fire pit, and outdoor table are located next to the home, and the road is a few hundred feet away. You can see and hear cars go by. As we sat around the fire, we kept our noise levels as low as possible, as a courtesy. This was not a problem for us, though it’s unusual at a Hipcamp. Caitlin is an extremely friendly & helpful host who I would love to stay with again. I would have loved to have sat around the fire with her! As we departed, she recommended a few breakfast spots in Bend, OR and I’m glad I listened to the rec. Thanks, Caitlin!

Incredible views of the Cascades. Close to hiking and Steelhead Falls. Caitlin was an excellent host. Offered fire pit and wood, and the site was great. Water and 30 amp power hookups. Will stay again if we’re in the area!

Friendly hosts, convenient location

Crooked River Ranchette

CaItlins place is a convenient jumping off point to lots of hidden gems around the area, and she is an incredibly friendly host! She even has a cooler of beer and farm fresh eggs for guests! If you’re seeking a secluded camping experience then this might not be the best spot for you since the camp spot is next to their home and you can hear some road noise. It’s great if you don’t mind being in closer proximity and need a convenient place to crash for a night to get an early start at smith rock!

Amazing hosts! Greeted us with smiles and a nice space with breathtaking views of the mountains. My 7 year old daughter loved picking fresh eggs from their chickens and saying hi to their dogs.
