Fast forward a few years, and 40 acres next door with an abandoned house on the canyon ridge went up for sale. We decided to purchase it and start a homestead there. That 40 acres where we now live was badly abused, and we have been in the process of cleaning up and restoring it. We loved our stay at the strawberry fields! The tent was spacious and comfortable, and nice and cool at night. The 'patio' space was really nice for hanging out with the lights on, which also made for a cute path to the bathroom. The bathroom was my favorite part, it was clean, and decorated really cute! The shower was easy to use and was really nice to have close to the tent. We also really appreciated the grill for making dinner! Great stay, highly recommend!

Rosehip campsite and bathroom facilities were perfectly clean and tidy with beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout. If you’re camping in a rooftop tent, suggest having something to level your vehicle. We ended up sleeping in the comfy yurt equipped with extension cord, fan, and nightlight. Excellent communication and hospitality. Highly recommend. :)

It is very simple and quiet and the views are breathtaking. It is not an improved campsite, so if you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a secluded getaway that is free from the hustle and bustle and let your dogs off leash with you and you love dry camping and don’t like neighbors, This is the place for you. We absolutely loved it, We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. Although the cabin is small, it is well designed and feels much more spacious. The loft was great and the outdoor shower worked exceptionally well. The property is so peaceful and private, it was great to hang out. Hope to get back there sometime.

Caitlyn and Nick's campsite was beautifully arranged, with lots of thoughtful details like string lights, a grill, chairs, and a picnic table. They're incredibly thoughtful and attentive hosts who responded promptly whenever we had questions about the area. It's worth noting for anyone with kids that the property has quite a bit of poison oak around it but that's to be expected anywhere in the region and the hosts have included plenty of soaps in the outdoor shower to deal with any exposures.

This is a lovely spot! I was camping alone on a road trip to check out Crater Lake, and I felt very safe and at ease as a solo female traveler. I also felt very spoiled by this campsite… the bathroom set up and outdoor shower are amazing, and the property has a great, peaceful energy. As well, you feel tucked away but still quite close to basic necessities - running out to get ice, etc. didn’t feel like a burden. Thanks Caitlyn and Nick for being great hosts!

I loved the ambience of this camp! It was the perfect home base for our little family’s trips to Crater Lake. The yurt, shower and amenities were perfect. Caitlyn, Nick and their sweet dog made the stay so pleasant. They offered recommendations when our plans changed and went above and beyond for our visit. Highly recommend! We enjoyed camping here while visiting crater Lake. The site included access to a nice bathroom and outdoor shower, which was absolutely necessary for a hot weekend of hiking. The owners also set up the tent and the string lights were magical in the evenings. The canvas tent was hot during the day, but if you bring a portable fan, it’s not too hot. Only thing to be mindful of is the poison oak which is common to the area, but you can easily avoid it. Caitlyn and Nick also provide some soaps and calamine gel in the bathroom in case you have contact with it. If you plan on visiting crater lakes, this cute site has perfect proximity to crater lake!

We had such an amazing time at Willowdale! We would definitely return if we’re in the area again.
It was so quiet and peaceful, the view of the mountain and lake is unmatched, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves it was so private. Kevin is a very welcoming host, and he even invited us to join their 4th of July party they were having at the barn. It felt like a nature preserve with the variety of birds on the lake, coyotes at night, and horses nearby.
Only downside is the access to the lake was pretty muddy/squishy (and lots of cowpies) so we didn’t end up swimming like we planned. Totally fine for our group, and there’s lake access about 7 minute drive away if you want to get in the water. Just a heads up if your priority is to get into the lake!

Caitlyn provided such a peaceful and luxurious camping retreat - the site is near their cabin but not loud at all, and the bathroom is stocked with useful amenities like drinking water, bug spray, and dish soap. The outdoor shower was a treat and fun to experience. The tent site has string lights and a picnic table, so it's very easy to enjoy.
