Weekend Trip to Geode Nature Domes

I had a lot of fun on this trip! The dome was nice and comfy even though there were a bit of ladybugs inside seeking warmth I assume. I didn’t mind either way because being in nature comes with the bugs. speaking of warmth, the heater kept us warm throughout the night even overheating us at points until we realized there was a temperature set on it. I’m very glad that accommodation was there for the cold. I do suggest getting there before it starts getting dark so you can get a fire going for light when nighttime comes. Even though the bathroom is a bit of walk (as expected with camping), it was a very nice bathroom and well kept. Definitely bring some flashlights or have your phone with you for light because there isn’t too much lighting provided outside except for some lamps and ground lights here and there along the trail to the dome. The area around the dome and the dome itself felt very private and secluded so it really made you feel immersed in nature. I saw some reviews saying all they heard were cars because it is next to a road, but the dome is up in the hills so there were barely cars driving by and I didn’t notice them. I also saw reviews saying the dome in right next to the owners home and it didn’t feel private. Even though I saw the home in the distance, They have fences built around the dome to ensure campers’ privacy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and suggest it for anyone looking for a getaway. One night was a relief from our unnaturally busy lives!

This cabin was great! True dark sky area was amazing. We had a wonderful view of the northern lights. Highly suggest the extra $20 for the hot tub. Everything was clean and cozy!

This was a really peaceful and chill experience. We came out to get away from the city and it was a perfect little retreat. The stay was well accommodated and the dome tent was such a fresh and easy way to camp. Even though it rained, we stayed dry and the next day was lovely enough to enjoy some of the great natural hikes in the area.

The back pocket on Basil's property was on a dead end road no one around no one to bother you no noises through the area oh no great spot to be camping... Glad I found it last minute to get down there and make a good hunting trip out of it... Memories will be forever

The cottage was cozy and just right for us, and the outdoor seating area by the fire pit was so peaceful and relaxing! Our hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and their chicken eggs were AMAZING! Seriously, don’t miss out on those! I also really appreciated that they offer firewood bundles for such an affordable price. We’re already looking forward to planning our next trip back to the cottage! :)

Two of us stayed in the Cottage. The cottage was really nicely decorated and spacious. It had a lot of windows for views with thick curtains for night. There is a full size stove and literally 28 outlets. The greenhouse shower was nice and the water got hot quickly even though it was only 39°F outside. The toilet is an outhouse vault toilet like a porta potty but it does have an electric light and lots of tp. The hosts were helpful and chill. We mostly were there to visit the mounds and caves so we didn't explore much of the property but I think you could have a nice weekend just hanging around the farm. It was also a very reasonable price and close to what we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend it

The cabin is a little small, but it comfortably housed my wife and I. Everything was very clean with all of the amenities that we needed for the weekend. A very nice spot for a weekend retreat for two people. There's also a huge stack of western and war DVDs if you want to check those out!

Best hipcamp I’ve stayed in by far! Marci has created such a calm and tranquil space that provides the best parts of camping (wildlife, nature sounds, fire pit) with enough amenities for total comfort. I felt very safe camping alone at the site and am grateful that Marci accommodated a same-day stay. I will definitely be back! If you’re looking for a good local hike, I recommend Lookout Trail at Buzzards Roost.

I loved setting up right on the water's edge. The site is big enough for a family reunion so I was able to spread out. Took my GSD and he was pretty relaxed, which is unusual. We really loved the porch and deck:) perfect to sit outside, watch the sunrise and listen to the nature. What an amazing 4 day trip. We wished we could have stayed even longer! Only complaint was the grill was a little ify with no drip barrier between the flames and the propane tank from a safety stand point.. perfect get away!

America at its finest way of life! Great Recreational Cannabis Dispensary nearby called Ascend in Carroll, OH. Hip downtown historical scene in Lancaster. Experience the healing sacred lands and spacious dome equipped with features.

Amazing! Basil was super informative and up-front with all needed info. We arrived after dark - Basil simply popped out from next door, checked if we were okay, and left us be. I really appreciated the later check-out - gave us time to use the hot tub in the AM. And of course, that outdoor shower - GREAT!
