I'm an artist and my husband and I have a small homestead with chickens and sometimes sheep/goats. Look out for electric netting to keep our herd/flock protected. The lighting over our back field is divine in the late afternoon, or if you prefer a wooded setting, we have a small wooded area across the street from our house. The area is hilly and rather private-- only one neighbor is visible when the trees are leafed out. Electric is accessible from an outlet at the backyard fence or in the barn. We often have fresh veggies and fruit in the garden in the summer, and sometimes extra farm fresh eggs. Nearby (10 minute drive) is Hargus lake, with boat rental and fishing. Also nearby is the Slate Run Historical Farm, (15 minute drive) which is a farm that is fully functioning as a farm from the 1880's with sheep, draft horses, hogs, and poultry at Slate Run Metro park, which has many woodland and wetland trails, as well as a covered bridge and several playgrounds. We are about 35 minutes from the Hocking Hills area, which is one of the most beautiful and unique areas in Ohio.

There are four graveled drives located in the woods at Buckeye Lake Winery. Only self contained RV's are allowed, no tent camping. You will have access to Buckeye Lake. Camp fires are permitted when there aren't local fire bans in effect. Please take all trash with you. Restrooms are not provided at campsites, however there are facilities in the winery when open. We are located 9 miles from Laurelville, 16.4 miles from Logan, 17 miles from Lancaster, 19 miles from Circleville, where stores and dinning are abundant and easily accessible.

Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring area.
Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more.
Southern Ohio offers some amazing roads for motorcycle rides, including the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, The Windy 9, The Triple Nickel and Three Rivers .

RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine.
If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180).

Welcome to our farm! Established in 2022, Rolling Hills Farm and Stables offers the convenience of being close to stores, restaurants and major interstates while still having the feel of country living. Currently 40 of our 50 acres is farmed, but you are welcome to take walks and enjoy the scenery.
We currently offer two 30 amp RV hookups, one at our horse barn and one at our riding arena. Our farm has been in our family for more than 50 years. It was lovingly purchased by my Cherokee grandmother with the intention of gifting each of her children a piece of land. Your Tipi Stay
Spend the night in our spacious 22-foot tipi, thoughtfully placed to immerse you in the sights and sounds of the ranch. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen platform bed provided for your convenience. Guests should bring their own sleeping bags, linens, pillows, and blankets.
The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests—two on the provided queen bed, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses you bring. Cots are available to rent as an add-on. You’re also welcome to pitch additional tents or hang hammocks in the surrounding trees, allowing space for up to 10 guests total.
The Ranch Experience
Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch is a working ranch, home to plains bison, honeybees, chickens, and peafowl. We are proud to be a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Firefly Habitat and Monarch Waystation.
Explore our scenic hiking trails that wind through rolling hills, wildflowers, and native grasses. Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of birds, butterflies, and wildlife throughout the property. After your hike, cool off in the clear, pristine creek bordering the ranch (water shoes recommended).
As evening settles in, enjoy a wood-fired meal prepared over your private fire pit/grill, then watch the sunset paint the valley in golden light. Fall asleep to the call of hoot owls, and wake to the soft morning glow filtering through the tipi’s beautifully painted translucent cover.

We’re conveniently located near several wineries, breweries, and outdoor recreation areas, including kayaking, canoeing, golfingnd biking. We’re also close to Legend Valley concert venue, and just a short drive from Buckeye Lake, Dillon Dam, and Hocking Hills.

Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails right at the start of the Hocking Hills. (easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

Dustin specializes in animatronics, steel sculptures, wood carvings, mixed media sculptures, and offers live art performances and experience packages for guests. Feel free to stop by the studio and say hello, our home is on the same 58-acre property. Although you cannot see our home from the Art Lodge or Tiny Bungalows, we're often nearby for assistance.

We loved our 4x4 site, shaded with good hammock trees. It felt private & peaceful. There is some construction currently underway on the property, but it didn’t negatively impact our stay. The shower had hot water, which was so nice to have. I had remembered seeing laundry being available somewhere in the listing, but that is no longer an offering. Come prepared with your own drinking water & gear as if you’re dispersed camping. Proximity to Hocking Hills is great!

Jim is a great host. When I arrived there was a bit of a cold front and he advised me on which camp site would be better suited for the weather. The one I originally picked was pretty chilly down in the valley so I moved to the Dog Wood Hill.
He promptly brought firewood and made sure I had everything I needed. The land itself is awesome, the wildlife is awesome, I will be coming back.

We had such a wonderful stay at Kyla’s homestead this weekend! Our trip was pretty last-minute, but Kyla and her family were incredibly accommodating and made everything so easy for us from the start.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space to relax and really enjoy being surrounded by nature. It felt peaceful, welcoming, and like the perfect little escape.
My son especially loved checking out the chickens, and our dog had the best time playing with their sweet and energetic pup, Opal.

What an awesome camping experience!!
My wife and I had a chance to get away for the weekend and this was a perfect choice. Yes there are goats and we LOVE goats but there loads of chickens, sheep, ducks, turkeys, cats and a couple of gorgeous Great Pyrenees dogs. As certified critter lovers, we had a blast and will definitely come back again when we have the chance.

The goats are unruly! Laura, a goat, was my admirer and the kids were the cutest things to watch. I laughed at their silliness the whole time. Many sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, rabbits, turkeys, a horse and perhaps animals I didn’t see. It is a working farm that supports children’s education and love of animals. Catherine is incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Just a good, nice person. Her team of interns, volunteers and staff are so committed to the animals. Thank you Ophelia, Austin and Maddie Be aware you will be woken by roosters (many roosters) in the morning and you’ll have messy shoes in the evening. This is a no frills location and I liked it that way. Be sure to watch the sunset. Peaceful and relaxing I recommend Catherine’s Hipcamp.

The road noise was constant but for the price, you can't beat it. Great location to access all the great trails and Nature preserves near Hocking.

Beautiful spot, just as shown in the photos - Fern Valley Rock is a stunning place to camp out!
Jim was very accommodating - he met me when I arrived and showed me where to park, where the firewood was, and everything I needed to know about the trails that lead along the ridges.
I thoroughly enjoyed the hiking, and the fantastic little getaway in the woods. Just what I needed :)

It was a gorgeous and spacious property with a nice amount of privacy. The host was incredibly welcoming and even got our fire started for us when I messaged that we were running behind but on our way. My pups also enjoyed getting visited by the dog on property ☺️

The campsite was large and the large rock formation was beautiful. The host was very friendly and provided firewood ready to use. The hike to the winery is totally worth the trip. The winery sells frozen slushy type drinks that were lots of fun.
My dog absolutely loved the space. Would totally book again!

With kids
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Nature's Way. We stayed at Sunnys Rest and it was nice and flat, easy to access and the was enough space to turn our small trailer around.
Jim welcomed is when we arrived and set us up with firewood.
There is a country road nearby but it didn't bother us at all. The entire weekend was very quiet.
10/10 we would absolutely stay here again!
