We loved camping on Chris’s land. He actually came out to greet us after we got set up & he’s a very nice guy. The land is beautiful & right across from the Eldorado Outpost Store where you can get your OHV pass & pretty much anything else you may need on your trip.

The property is beautiful and Chris accommodated my daughter and myself for a perfect family camping excursion while balancing hosting several off-road vehicle enthusiasts.
Chris was sincere in providing the experience we were looking for and exceeded expectations.

Not rugged, distributed camping, but a great basecamp for activities in the nearby National Forest and absolutely perfect for introducing camping to young explorers.

Great location and proximity to the Outpost and trails. Although I didn't officially camp (due to last minute change of plans), I did meet up with the group and hang out. Plenty of space to spread out. Great for the primitive set ups. The treeline was the place to be for the chilly nights/mornings. I would camp here in the future. I have a small off-road camper and the site has great access for that. A few small off-roading campers and tents are perfect. No big rigs.

Our group enjoyed everything about our stay at Chris’ property!!! Chris greeted us as soon as we arrived(a little bit early but no problem). He told us all about the property and nearby amenities. We, myself included, had a few first timers tackling the trails in nearby Uwharrie. There is an entrance less than a mile down the road and the El Dorado outpost is across the street. We plan on returning soon and would highly recommend others stay here as well!!!

Camping here is very convenient to the off road trails without all the dust and is away from the crowds. Quiet and nice shaded location under the oaks. Was my 2nd time there and I will be back.

We visit uwharrie a few times a year and have for years now, and this was by far the best stay we’ve had up there.. the camping spot can be seen from the road, but it’s several hundred feet back to the wood line. All grass and no dust to deal with like you would have if you were staying in the national forest itself. Quiet and just a Short drive to the trailheads and El Dorado outpost is directly across from where the camping spot is at.. we had a great time and will stay there from now on
