Absolutely wonderful Stay! The host is an absolute joy. The property and horses are great ! We enjoy a wonderful convention with the host and she is so accommodating. We stayed here so we could enjoy a concert near by. There is so much to do within a short distance. Definitely will be back when we are in the area.

I loved staying here , it was so nice ! I love seeing the cattle and horses , park right at the corner and I watch the sunrise and sunset! I saw some fowls and ducks too ! And petting a little kitty on my way to the loo. The horse near the fence likes to come over and say hello ! Haha it took all of me not to pet them ! Careful on the drive into the ranch it’s very bumpy ! On my 2wd! I had my goldfish on my trip , he almost flew out ! Haha

What a great camp site. We really enjoyed it. Cool overlook of the river. Wooded with a nice fire ring and grill. Perfect for car camping. The overlook on the flood plain in the evening and in the morning is filled with birds and wildlife.

Emma was very quick to respond to my many questions. The directions were very clear, and I was given many options of where to set up camp when I arrived. I felt extremely safe and enjoyed waking up to the horses on the next pasture.

1 night at Horse Ranch-a short drive from 95

Great experience at Gracie’s farm. The camping area next to the arena makes it easy to watch folks riding and working the horses. My daughter and I took a riding lesson in the morning that was a ton of fun; definitely recommend it if you stay. That being said it is a working farm so expect to have folks coming in and out to load/unload horses near the camping area.

Christopher is an easy going, friendly host who had everything organized for my stay. It was very cold the night I camped and Christopher was good enough to check in to make sure I was doing all right and even brought me some wood to burn. I highly recommend this host!

We stayed here for 2 nights at Mickeys Chicken Farm and it was great! Peaceful spot and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great deal with the hook up’s.

We were looking for a safe / quiet place to stay in our campervan for a few nights close to the Neuse River Trail. This spot was perfect! Trail access is directly on the property (no need to ride or walk on main roads to get there). Emma and co were super responsive to our questions, and it was so nice to wake up to see the horses each morning!

I loved car camping on Christopher’s land! It was very peaceful and far enough into the wilderness to get a beautiful view of the stars. We got in late and Christopher was very accommodating in showing us to the site. We were only here for a short overnight stay, but we would definitely stay here again!

I arrived by bicycle from the Greenway. There is a gate to access the farm without having to ride on a busy road. Emma met me with firewood! Camped under a shelter which kept the dew off my tent & bike. Emma was genuine and hospitable. I will return and tell other cyclists.

We are a peaceful campsite located along the Greenway Trail 20 minutes from Downtown Raleigh and 10 minutes from Clayton. The farm offers private wooded meadows with direct access to the Greenway for walking and cycling. Campers can either rent a tent or bring their own, choosing between secluded spots, shaded areas, or open spaces. The campsite is accessible via a gravel farm track and is close to the Greenway, river, and main house for bathroom access. Nearby attractions include the Bailey Sarah William Preserve with 447 acres and 16.6 miles of multi-use trails, Sandy Pines Preserve with 563 acres of trails and fishing (18 minutes away), and Robertson Mill Pond for trails and seasonal kayaking (17 minutes away). It was a state prison until the 90's and we have completed the first phase which includes 5 individual spots that can accommodate a full size 45 foot RV/Tiny Home on Wheels or bring your own tent. There is a RV, Tiny Home, and Tents, available, our bring your own. There is a private bathroom and cold water shower available for all guests. In addition, there are 2 dog parks (one for small dogs and one for larger dogs). All the buildings at the moment including the Guard Tower are only available to enter with a private tour. Spot (#3) includes probably America's smallest Tiny Home. It only fits a provided twin air mattress. If 2 guests would like to share the tiny home, we highly recommend that they like each other.
