We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

Wonderful camp spot. Our site was right on the water and spaced nicely from other campers. I love the public area Beach and kayak launch. It's a very beautiful stretch of river. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

There was a kayak put-in at my campsite, and I saw wild turkeys, a limpkin, a kingfisher, and 2 beavers. The hosts were most helpful.

This is the best campground we have found on Hipcamp. Site 1 was right on the river, spacious and very clean. Lisa was very responsive and helpful, would highly recommend this campground.

We had an awesome stay at Black River Camping Ventures, camping at Site 11. This spot is easily one of our favorite local getaways.
The campsite itself is quiet, well laid out, and perfect for a relaxing weekend outdoors. We spent a few hours fishing and caught plenty of nice-sized bream, which made the trip even better.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the scenery, and just have a good time without needing much else. Great atmosphere, great fishing, and an all-around solid experience.
If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to camp and unwind, Site 11 is definitely worth booking. We’ll definitely be coming back for years to come.

My family and I had a great experience at Sugarneck. Our dogs especially loved exploring the grounds. The tents are the perfect compromise between an authentic camping experience and modern conveniences. We will definitely be planning a return visit.

The campground site is wonderful. And Lisa was great to work with. She gave good advice and was very helpful on the phone before arrival and had good advice while we were there. The campground is right on the water and the campsite and the portable toilets were very clean! Thank you Lisa and family!

Black River Adventure Hipcamp is the BEST. It is right on the river across from an over 1,000 year old cypress tree forest. And Lisa, the host is wonderful and makes sure all your needs are taken care of.

Black River campground was beautiful and very clean. The portapotty was actually the cleanest, best smelling portapotty I’ve ever been in. Lisa stopped by our campsite to give us a free Black River sticker and she was very kind. We will be back!!

Really nice piece of property. Host is super cool. Be prepared to bring in everything you need. We went with a group of eight, did some archery and rode bikes. Super chill. Would definitely go back!!

I was with a small group. We booked several sites and had the whole camp for our group. We had a great time. We gathered around the campfire to share stories and beverages. My tent vestibule faced the water. It was wonderful view to wake up to.
Lillington was a short drive to pick up supplies and eat at a diner.
Host Sean was friendly and came to visit and share his story.
Our group will probably make this and annual destination.

I’m torn! This place is a hidden gem right here in my home county. Every site is clean and waterfront. Facilities were well maintained and Ms Lisa is the bomb! But don’t come LOL we wana keep this hidden so it isn’t always booked up! Just kidding, you will love this place, it’s everything that is advertised and more. No wonder it’s won Hipcamp awards. We will be back no doubt.
