Our farm is a perfect spot for cooling off, relaxing, or using as a launch point for exploring the wild region that so closely surrounds us. Please note that Wilson’s Creek Gorge is closed for Summer 2025, but you’ll still have all our private creek and river access on the farm property.

Your campsite includes a wooden tent platform (~12’ x 24’) with steps, a fire pit and grilling area, four chairs, a round dining table, a water hose, and four electrical outlets. A newly built outhouse is just steps away.

I moved here from San Francisco, to simplify my life, and accomplish my dreams. The Tiny house was designed and built by architect, Jesse Plaster. It's a unique cozy loft style design, set back in the woods on our property. It's purposely placed next to a creek, with a nice stone fire ring to really enjoy the outdoors. In the cold months, it's heated by a wood burning stove. Also next to the house are logging roads that allow you to hike the Ripshin Mountains. The Yadkin River is near by, and so is Boone and Blowing Rock. If you like mountain biking, bring your bike to ride Kerr Scott, or Zacks Fork trails. Also, check out the workshops at Pattersonschoolfoundation.org They offer sustainable living classes such as cheese making, mushroom foraging, blacksmithing, soap making, kimchi making, etc... This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds.
Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. YO can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management.
This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life.
The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents and 4 Pioneer wagons.
All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you).
Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cook and serene.
Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest.
Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties.
We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay.
The farm is work in progress. Eventually it will be an Ostrich farm. and have other animals too.
The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away.
Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive.
Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc.
Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing.
Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601)
Asheville is 1:25 hrs to the West, Charlotte is 1:25 hr to the East.

About the property
You will have our entire 14 acre property to yourself which features some amazing mountain views and is adjacent to state lands for exploration.
To access the site you will drive approx. 15 minutes up a gravel road. Overall we are located about ~30 minutes from I-40 and about 25 min to Marion & Morganton, NC.
For recreation you can access South Mountains Gamelands which is adjacent to the property. You can also drive to South Mountains State Park which is only 15 minutes away. Lake James State Park is 35 minutes away and offers great recreation potent entail as well as Linville Gorge which is 45-60 minutes away.

We offer two connected 8x16' tiers with center posts for hanging a tarp or setting up tents. You can see in our photos how a tent would fit on the platforms, there is plenty of space and truly amazing views right from your tent door. The site features a fire pit and an outhouse.

Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space.
Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits.
Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads.
Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. We do not have bathroom or bathhouse facilities so we cannot allow campers that do not have a self contained bathroom that can hook up to a conventional RV sewer drain and no human waste is allowed in our trash receptacles.

We loved camping here! We’re hoping we can come back soon! The site was level and clean. Jenny was an amazing host that was very generous. All the dogs at the campground were our kids favorite part! The proximity to the river was perfect for our kids where it was a short walk away to access to the river but not immediate so we didn’t have to worry about water safety with the little ones. The river itself is gorgeous. Hookups were well maintained. Definitely recommend.

We loved this spot. Truly camping, surrounded by wilderness and complete privacy. The road is def rugged but it made it that much more of an adventure. I have 2wd CR-V that did just fine, not sure a low clearance car would be too great. Directions were clear and the spot was perfect!

The view is amazing! Has all the basics that are needed plus more. Toilet, power, and water on site which is always great. Property is in great condition. Also got to greet the farm cat on the day we left, such a sweetheart. I didn't get service until I got to the site but 5g was available. Me and my buddy had a great time!

Wonderful camping site and hosts. Absolutely beautiful creek. We panned for gold in the creek (more for the experience than the hope of finding gold haha). Clean port-o-potty, garbage can w bag was nice, comfy chairs and a picnic table provided. We loved the shelter area as a hang out spot since we couldn’t have a fire due to the burn ban. We brought our dog and kept him on his leash. Dianne mentioned she was dog sitting for a neighbor and that doggy was a little protective pf her driveway. The sweet dogs came up to visit a lot…which was fine with us. We just had to shoo them off to protect our dog and they listened. (My dog is a little nervous around some dogs)
We had to leave a day early because we didn’t feel like camping in the rain.

Each site has picnic table, firepit & pearock tent pad, facing a semi circle around a grassy lawn that had a gazebo w/ Adirondack chairs ( came in handy when it rained just to chill out) and a sink to wash dishes in . Bathrooms w/ hot shower & laundry were steps away. It was convenient having the food truck/ restaurant on site. Had a delicious portobello sandwich:). Pineola is located 8 min to Blue Ridge Parkway & 22min to Hawksbill trailhead.

The Pineola is a wonderful place, the team reached out shortly after booking with all the necessary information, the location and campsite was easy to find and the campsite was in a beautiful spot. The only recommendation I have is to contact the Pineola before booking to see if there is a love band that will be playing outside as this happened during my stay and made it difficult to go to sleep as I could here the band/music until they ended around 10:00 pm. I would definitely book again, but will call ahead next time to check.
