Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). William Cornelius Vineyard is a 50-acre private working vineyard and farm that includes 6 acres of Vineyard, 15 acres of corn/soybean fields, and 15 acres of forest. Two vintage tobacco barns add rustic charm to the site. A lovely stream flows down cascading rock shelves along one side of the property, and a small pond is located on the other side. Shady Rest Campground is a quite peaceful property located within 2 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Firewood is plentiful in the campground and you just help yourself. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Located just 3.5 miles south of Fancy Gap, VA on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a mere 5 miles from I-77, this 22-acre campground features rolling hills, lush woods, and mountain views. Guests can choose from a variety of accommodations, including 13 full hook-up RV sites, 8 comfortable motel rooms, 6 cozy camping cabins, and 3 tent sites. The campground also boasts a bathhouse equipped with five private bathrooms with hot showers and utility sinks. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the campground and motel so you can stay connected. FGCC serves as a perfect base for exploring the wonders of southwest Virginia. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Music Center, the iconic Mabry Mill, and a plethora of outdoor activities such as hiking, paddling, and cycling. The hosts were so welcoming and informative about the area. We had a spot in the shade with 50 amp service and water. Close to the festival we were attending and many wineries and outdoor activities close by. It was a wonderful stay. We would definitely come here again.

We stayed in a sweet, little tent spot nestled under the trees by the creek. It felt private and magical. The host came to meet us and show us where to park. It did require a little walk to the bathroom. No showers or electricity for our site. We were able to navigate in and out of the site with a 2WD campervan.

If you are looking for private, this is your spot! Beautiful land tucked away from everything. Our dog was able to run free - I think she had more fun than us. Tanner was a great host, very responsive and helpful. Make sure you visit Stone Mountain State Park while you are there. Great hikes!

Nice grounds with several short hiking trails. Sandra and Roy were great hosts and helped us get parked and set up. Hookups worked perfectly. The site is near a county road, but there was no traffic to speak of any of the three nights we stayed. Great access to Wilkesboro and Merlefest.

One of my absolute favorite camping spots! The views are gorgeous, the sites are all excellent, and the serenity is real. Jim is an outstanding owner and i really like his style! This last trip makes about 20 nights I've had the pleasure of staying at Jim's place and I plan on many more in the near future. So glad he shares the ridge with us visitors!

This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was great. This is an AMAZING location - very near Merlefest (Wilkesboro, NC), and I was the only car camping here. This is on a farm, in a field, with a creek and cows. There are port-a-potties that I didn't check out, an ice machine in a shed (free to use) and a really nice tree swing that overlooks the crick and the cows. There are fairy lights along the paths. The owner has been a wonderful communicator, and everything was great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone (especially the Merlefest people out there!!!!!)

The site couldn’t have been more perfect. 10/10 view and tons of private trails. We camped with our dog and he had the best time exploring the land. Rachel was a fantastic host as well and responded quickly to messages. We can’t wait to come back!

Harmon Farms is a charming spot! Easy to find, great sites and lots of animals to entertain the young and young at heart! The camp store was a nice surprise - lots of meat cuts and eggs to choose. The pond was peaceful - quiet paths and hills to walk. Restroom/shower were clean and centrally located. Beautiful star gazing!

I’ve never had such a warm welcome to a campground- it was like visiting old friends. Sandra and Roy have a great set up with tidy, dispersed sites. There’s shady acreage across the street which is perfect for walking your dog. Camp sites like this are why you can never go back to crowded state campgrounds. Wish there were more of these!

Cheryl’s land is a beautiful place with nature trails on the property. The campsite (creek front 11) was neat and clean with a little patch of forests above the creek. Frogs sing at night and you could hear other wild lives. The farm goods are very recommended- eggs were delicious. The host was very very helpful and responsive. And they sell s’mores and firewoods- very convenient.
