If they fight with other animals or chase chickens or ducks you may want to test this upon your arrival. Unfortunately, you must keep them on leash at all times. SPECIAL FEATURE: As I am just beginning the camp on site experience I offer several options and additional services. #1. Some find out after arriving that I teach NC Concealed Carry Handgun Classes. If you wish to participate in a class, it is preferred that you register before the day of the class. I will post classes on this site so that campers will know there will be shooting in the late afternoon. Some chose to camp on other weekends, some choose to go out to eat during those times, and some don't mind either way. #2. I am also much in favor of work for camp site. Some have asked to do clean up or other small jobs for the priviledge to camp. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. Please do not accept an offer to take on a task that you do not know how to do. Example, pulling weeds or trimming if you do not know what a weed verses flower looks like. LOL #3. There is plenty of firewood, see photos, here laying around and some trees down that will make great firewood (bring your own cutting tools.) We also sell firewood by the bundle. #4. Being a camper here gives you the privilege of fresh veggies and fruits that are in season, as well as fresh free range eggs. MAJOR POINT: You must remember this is a working farm and our duties and responsibilities for the farm come first. You must abide by the boundaries. *see map* The creek is the back boundary and should never be crossed onto my neighbors. I will not tolerate any disrespect to my neighbors, what so ever. No! the roosters don't have an off button, neither does the jacka... donkey! When it is hay cutting time, we will cut hay. If you want to hike the property, feel free, know the boundaries and bring a machete to cut your way by the creek/stream in some areas. We have thistle trees and briars, you are welcome to cut all you wish as you go. There are spiders, bugs, and snakes etc. Black snakes, king snakes, runners, and whip snakes belong here and we ask that you do not kill them. Copperheads are here as qell and if you see one, come get me and I will dispatch it for you. .

Michelle’s campground is a beautiful property. It was very clean, peaceful, and quiet. All the other campers were friendly and excellent neighbors. Everyone was respectful of everyone else’s privacy and space (which protected the overall vibe of the place) while still be kind and friendly. Overall the property is clean and extremely well-maintained. I enjoyed the trails for walking with my dogs, and they enjoyed getting to see the various animals. At night, it was dark and silent - which was so refreshing. Michelle herself met me when I arrived and was very helpful and so nice. I had an excellent experience and will definitely plan for this to be my go-to spot when I am in the area!

I really enjoyed being at Paul’s. His property is pristine. It’s beautiful, quiet, and secluded. Paul himself is generous and great company! I was only looking for a layover spot but after my stay this will definitely be one of my future stops. Paul even gave a tour of his own home; an old church he restored himself. 12/10 stay!

The campsite was in a lovely wooded area not too close to the house ( which is actually an old church that Paul converted into a home). Only a few minutes from historic Gold Hill. Paul, our host was really friendly. Greeted us when we arrived and gave us local eatery tips. His dogs were friendly too! If we come back to the area, we'll definitely stay here again.

1 night at Ancient Spring Farm

I love this farm space and Rebecca who runs it. I rented the pine run site. Spacious and comfortable. Walks around the farms are beautiful feeding a friendly horse and saying hi to the goats and chickens. Rebecca offers breakfasts st a reasonable fee but i missed that during my second visit here. You cant miss out on visiting here.

The adult wild farm is just a perfect campground unlike many commercial campgrounds. It’s a very homey and cozy place to go. Michel is absolutely wonderful. Can’t say enough about her just a very, very nice lady and if I’m back in North Carolina anytime that’s where I’ll be staying.

Chris was super helpful and check in was easy. Uwharrie trailheads are only a couple minutes away, and the outpost has anything you may have forgotten while packing.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The owner is so sweet and thoughtful. It will be our go to spot anytime we are in town for horse shows. Its quite and well taken care of and if you have an animal lover they will love it here.

It was a great spot and close to Sedgefield at The Park- perfect for horse shows. She provides you everything you may need firewood, cute little donkeys/ goats and Michelle is very hospitable. Perfect Host!

Good hiking, water access, restroom/bathhouse facilities are heated in winter and relatively clean.
