Hi there! The Cozy Heron is an 𝙞𝙣-𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙣, riverside glamping resort. Noises of traffic from nearby highway is audible. Each wagon is equipped with calming sound machines that also double as bluetooth speakers to assist guests who may be bothered by sounds of nearby traffic. We currently have five covered wagons and one bath house. The property offers a community stone patio, firepit, grilling area, and large expansive lawn. We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

Wonderful spot - very quiet and peaceful
Host Bekah was responsive to questions and the site was wide-open and ready for us when we got there.
We spent two nights here and spent most of our time relaxing in the shade and taking walks down the hiking trails across the property.
Recommend visiting this spot west of Carrboro for sure!

Patrick & his staff were all so friendly & kind, & took the time to include our little one in their activities as there was a field trip during the first day of our stay. We needed a place to stop over night and Double L fit the bill. Lisa, the host, was very responsive, welcoming, and met us at the gate to guide us to our spot. Since we were there only one night, we didn't get a chance to check out the farm attractions. It felt safe and not crowded at all. All the hookups were in good condition and easily accessible. Our only issue (and this was really on us) is that the electric was 50 amp and we have 30 amp. A quick drive to Wally world for an adapter that I had been meaning to buy anyway solved that problem. Quick access to the interstate got us on our way quickly the next morning. We would stay again. Thanks for the southern hospitality, Lisa!

We were so thankful that we found a spot at Red Farm. We had been on the road for 8 hours and really needed to land for the night. Monte was super nice and told us if we ended up coming back his way and the spots were taken, he would find a spot for us. Easy to find and had great services attached for a good price.

This was my favorite campsite of all time. It was beautiful, quiet, and serene. There are many thoughtful details. The bathroom was very clean, convenient, and cute. There's a whole dishwashing station just outside the washroom area, very nice touch. The outdoor shower is beautiful, clean, and lovely with great pressure and hot water. The moss trails, flowers throughout, ponds, and forest are so lovely. The trash area is in a good spot and they have recycling as well. Mike and Scott are excellent hosts, very attentive to needs, excellent service, so kind, and just great human beings. Being a lesbian who camps alone in a tent, I felt very comfortable and safe, which is extremely important to me and sometimes hard to find. The hosts also brought us campers fresh eggs in the morning from their chickens! 10 out of 10 highly recommend spending time here. I will be telling everyone I know about this campground.

The campground is just beautiful! Meticulously maintained, every detail cared for. You could tell this was a place where people take pride in creating space for rest. And the hosts? Truly wonderful. Warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive - the kind of people who make you feel like you belong the moment you arrive.
This was a perfect quiet space with beautiful bird sounds and the azaleas were blooming amazingly!
