This field has also been recently planted with Apples, Pear, American Plum, Red Osier Dogwood, Persimmon, Red Mulberry, Chinese Chestnut, and Hazelnuts. These are all young at this time but will start to provide diversity and wildlife interest in the coming years. Wildlife abounds here at the homestead. Whitetail Deer and Eastern Wild Turkey are very common to see. We also have a variety of small animals as well such as Red and Grey Squirrels, Raccoons, Porcupine, Opossum, Fisher etc. For the birders, we have Barred and Great Horned Owls and Red Tailed Hawks. It is also not uncommon to see Bald Eagles soaring over the fields looking for their next meal. All of the property is easily accessible via our extensive trail system. We loved the Yurt on Labrador Mountain. If your looking for a camping experience with the comfort of a hotel room, this is the place for you. It is so beautiful in the fall. Jan and Ken are great hosts and their attention to detail is unmatched. The tub is deep. Its the perfect place to visit. Cannot recommend it enough.

I highly recommend visiting Lisa and Ed, genuinely good people who take great care to ensure that you'll be comfortable and have what you need to optimize your stay. They are extremely knowledgeable about pretty much anything to do with farm living, and the horses receive amazing care.Lisa and Ed can't hide how much they love them. As far as which site to pick I walked the entire grounds and whichever site you choose is a winner, comes down to personal preference. There's no place else that can match this experience. Lisa and Ed are very responsive and have suggestions on local things to do .The reviews, all positive are a bit like pictures, they can't tell the whole story. Get here yourself and enjoy this peaceful, serene beautiful place and have this unique experience, you'll be glad you did. Don't forget all of the other things you can do to add to your experience that Lisa lists. This would be an unforgettable experience for a family with young kids. Bring a camera! Aside from the residents, the fields are visited by deer, and there are foxes, birds. There's a cabin, 2 trundle beds,folding room divider, windows all around, small sitting area with an awning in back looking into the forest .Lisa and Ed are kind, considerate and caring hosts. * Ask about buying some amazing Maple Syrup made using Ed's grandfather's recipe. You can't buy anything like it anywhere else! Thank you Lisa and Ed for your kindness and hospitality. Enjoyed my stay, hope to be back. Peace.

We had an amazing last-minute stay at Mary’s place. Our pups loved having the freedom to roam off leash, and it was so nice to relax by the tent and take in the fall scenery. The woodstove kept us cozy all night, and Mary was very kind and responsive throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

I did not appreciate until arriving that Tilden Farm has won many awards (including best Hip Camp in NY) and is a destination for mountain bikers. The awards are well earned. Todd went above and beyond at every instance that we needed him. Lovely spot, great trails in hardwood forests for dog walks. Quiet country living, beautiful pond. Couldn't ask for a better host. He even lent us his waste tote to dump black and grey tanks and even took it away with my husband to dump.

We stayed in a 26' trailer, and the hookups were excellent. If you have dogs with good recall, this is the perfect place. Being able to let them off leash was so appreciated. The lake was beautiful and crystal clear. Our dogs loved swimming, and we enjoyed paddle boarding. Next time we’ll come earlier in the season so we have more daylight to enjoy everything.
