Parking on the property is a very short accessible walk from the tent site. There is a fire pit at the site and guests may access our personal kitchen garden for greens and veggies. A private bathroom and shower with free laundry (yes, I said free laundry!) and drinking water is available for use by guests in the main house. Wheelchair users will need a ramp in order to access the main house; we don't have one at this time, unfortunately.Our site is a great location to serve as an affordable hub for experiencing all that Cayuga and Seneca Lakes have to offer. Taughannock Falls State Park, Finger Lakes National Forest, and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail are all within a short drive or bike ride from the site. A 20 minute drive east will bring you to downtown Ithaca, where you can visit the renowned Ithaca Farmer's Market, Cornell University, Six Mile Creek, and plenty of bars and restaurants. Ithaca is also home to series of serene swimming holes at the base of waterfalls where locals and visitors relax during the summer. If you choose to go west you'll end up in Watkins Glen where you can check out the 200-foot cliffs and 19 waterfalls of the dreamlike landscape at Watkins Glen State Park, known as one of the best state parks in the U.S.We are both very experienced backpackers, cyclists, and bikepackers. Kimberly is a bike organizer and routemaker who runs Radical Adventure Riders Finger Lakes, a community for BIPOC and FTWN-B (femme, trans*, women, non-binary) bikepackers. She's happy to provide guidance on road, gravel, and mountain biking in the area and share her library of local bike routes. We have a work stand and tools available to fix any small issue you might have on your bike as well. We can also tell you about the hiking, backpacking and cross country skiing in the local area, much of which can be accessed by a 10 minute drive to Finger Lakes National Forest.We ask that those who stay on their property please respect the space and the land. The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. A step up from glamping, the "Shack" is a rustic, bohemian 2-story cabin/ art studio on a property that was formerly a train station. The property has 3 cottages on it and is situated across the street from Cayuga Lake in a secret wild garden, but is a 6 minute drive to downtown Ithaca Commons.
This cottage is not for everyone. It is a cheap option in a cute, very bare bones cottage. It is best suited for low maintenance, easy travelers who are looking for an inexpensive place to crash after a long day of exploring.
Guests who stay in the Shack share the bathroom in the main house with me - the bathroom has a separate entrance from the one I use in the main house.
The cabin consists of 2 rooms - the upstairs has a double sized futon and a single futon mattress that can be used for guests, and the downstairs is a lounge/studio area.
Note that the bedroom is accesses via a ladder type staircase. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but for the right fit it is the perfect home base to explore Ithaca's many spenders, ideally located across the street from Stewart Park and the trailhead to the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. and a short walk to the Stewart Park/downtown bus line and the East Shore swimming beach.
Note, there is a cat who lives on the property and he sometimes comes to visit this studio. I see guests inviting him in occasionally to visit. If you're allergic, this isn't a good option for you.

2 RV sites tucked away on a paved county road 3 miles off of Route 414 in Lodi, NY. These sites are close to the NY State Wine Trail with the closest winery a 10 min drive away. Lodi Point State Park is also 5 miles away with public access to Seneca lake. Lodi Point features a boat launch, nice playgrounds and swimming areas. As we are located in beautiful Fingerlakes, you can also find many other state parks including Sampson, Watkins Glen, Hector and Taughannock, all within a short drive. Taughannock Falls is a must see with its 215 foot plunge waterfalls.
Each of our RV sites has a 16ft x 45ft stone pad and full electric hook ups with a 110v 20 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp service. A picnic table and campfire ring are on each site, but there are no water or sewage hook ups available. There is no bathroom on site, you must bring your own. Sampson State Park is the nearest dump station. If you’re Looking for a quiet spot to spend a night or two, this is place for you.

I stayed with my pup and had a good night's sleep. Great location for visiting Ithica. Just needed a place to park my camper van for the night. The site is easy to find and access. Thought it is relatively close to the road and in front of the house, off the driveway, it didn't feel like it. Road was quiet after 10 and had no issue with reference to the house location. Got to meet Z and he was very welcoming. It was nice to have the electric access and despite the rainy cold weather we had, it was a nice stay. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Tequila Sunrise: Lakeside Casitas
Two cabins were completely clean, theres a great grill, fireplace and access to the lake/creek. Many great attractions nearby, and Susan was very responsive throughout the whole process. Spot was also easy to find, and there were plates/bowls, utensils and other tools on site.

I loved the quiet serenity of this campsite. You can tell a lot of care went into it. There were lots of thoughtful touches like a broom to sweep out the lean-to, a first aid kit in the lean-to and in the privy (which is immaculately clean), hooks to hang stuff up, and clearly marked paths from the lean-to to the parking pad and privy.
I only stayed one night and it was raining, so I didn't make a fire, but it looked like a good set up with log seats and wood available for burning.
I had a chance to meet David, Roxanne and their sweet dog. Good vibes all around.

We had a great time at Craig’s Land. The variety of trails, ponds, and sites to explore filled our night there. The composting toilet was clean with no odor, and just a short walk from the Secluded Spruces site where we stayed. The land was far back from the road, the stars were bright, and an owl sang to us in the evening. 10/10, would stay again.

This is a wonderful campsite! I’d highly recommend anyone who has the chance to an enjoy a night on David’s land. The shelter is beautifully built and fit our tent perfectly, which saved us from some late night showers. There was a good amount of firewood and tinder supplied by the hosts. The highlight was definitely hearing the icon call of the Barred Owl before bed!

We absolutely loved staying here! We are full-time trailer-towers and have a sweet older pup. Although we booked stays at Treman as with previous years, this time required four moves in two weeks, so I looked for alternatives. Summer Dream popped up only 15 minutes from my Dad's house near the Commons. PERFECT! Tina is a lovely host - from the first conversation to our goodbyes, she made sure we were comfortable and then some. The area where our trailer sat was level, drop and go. You do need to be right next to her trailer though, as the hookups are in an enclosed box behind her trailer. The land was treed and mowed, with a cute picnic table, a fire pit, and wood available. The best part was the quiet, as cars were not frequent and nobody walks by. We were able to walk a few miles daily with no issues which was wonderful for the dog. I'm already looking forward to next year, so better beat me to it! :)

We had such a great stay! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their sweet pup made the visit even better. The campsite itself was wonderful: spacious, private, and stocked with plenty of firewood, which made our evening around the fire super easy and relaxing. We also got to enjoy some beautiful fall foliage during our stay, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept spot to unwind!
