Weekend Trip to Historic Riverside Farm

We camped at Site 2 for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect. On one side of the campsite is a hill of wildflowers with a bench swing at the top! On the other is the Wallkill River, which offered a cool place for the kids to splash and explore and a calming sound to fall asleep to. The site was clean & easy to access. We will definitely be back!

Everything was well tended. They were very welcoming and helpful with any needs we had. Our campsite was outfitted nicely with all the camping amenities we could need and has a great hiking trail & river access.

Great camp site with so much included! The tent is well maintained and the mattress is new. We didn't need the second big tent, but would be good if we had friends with us. And the hosts are super friendly and very responsive if you need more gas for the grill, water, or wood for the fire pit. Would highly recommend.

3 nights at Locust Grove Waterfall

Locust Grove was such a magical place.. the sounds of the water and the numerous birds singing their songs with a few sounds of coyotes over the hill you couldn’t ask for a more serene getaway !! We definitely took advantage of the privacy !!! Felt like we were 16 again!!! Will definitely be coming back!!! ❤️❤️❤️

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

We loved staying at Riverside Farm the site was very private and very large. The river access was great, just a short walk on a wooded path led to a beautiful spot were we fished sat in tubes and just hung out in the water. The only thing I could say was a little inconvenient was the entrance to the site was a little tight for trailers to navigate around the dumpster through the opening to the path down to the site. But even with that we are definitely coming back.

Weekend Trip to Wallkill River Camping

Had a great weekend here with my family. The wooded area offered the most privacy, but you also have the choice to set up near the river with plenty of open grass which is also secluded. The hosts were very attentive and nice. There were lots of mosquitoes near the river which is to be expected, but there were less in wooded area. Fishing here was our highlight and we caught lots of catfish. Other campers were tubing and swimming in the river. Only downside is you need take your own garbage with you and there’s no potable water, so make sure you plan accordingly. The outhouse was fairly clean and well maintained considering. A firepit and grill was available on our site. Lots of fireflies and stars at night which was nice to see. We will definitely come back and we would definitely recommend this place!

3 nights at Wallkill River Camping

Highly recommend! We stayed in site 1 and set up our tent in the trees at the top of the hill. Beautiful site with view of the river and the hay field. Short walk to swimming spot by site 3 (muddy but worth it!). A gorgeous place to spend some time! We loved seeing the bats overhead at twilight, the stunning display from the fireflies, waking up to birdsong. Private and quiet. Clean outhouse. Good vibes, friendly host!

We ended up staying a day later because the place was so lovely. Lots of different kind of plants everywhere. The swim hole was lovely. This had everything my small family wanted - a simple and beautiful vacation. The fireflies add to the magic at dust. I love that it's just 30 minutes from me as well.

Just fantastic place and Kathleen is so welcoming and helpful yet lets you do your thing when you need. Dunk in the river, chill by the lake, swim in the pond. I had a wonderful time.

Paula and her husband were so gracious and accommodating. The property is beautiful in its simplicity - an abundance of all kinds of plants - a real find and seek adventure of various trees and plants. The swimming hole was perfect for my dogs and family. The fireflies added to the magic. It helps that this isn't far from home. We will likely be back!

Our stay at Kathleen’s land was absolutely fantastic. We stayed at Site 10, which was exactly what we were looking for—secluded, peaceful, and immersed in nature. It felt like our own private oasis. The site is just a short, beautiful hike away from a waterfall, making it a perfect spot for those who enjoy a little outdoor adventure. Plus, it’s only about an hour and a half drive from Brooklyn, making it an ideal weekend getaway without a long drive. Kathleen herself was an incredible host. She greeted us at the site, gave us a thorough tour, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly at home and welcome. We spent quite a bit of time at her pond, trying out the paddle boards, relaxing in the water, and having fun on the tree swing. The experience was absolutely unforgettable and added an extra layer of magic to our stay. Although Site 10 was our favorite, we also took a peek at other sites on the property, and they were just as charming and well-maintained. Each site had its own unique appeal, which has us already planning our next trip to explore more of this beautiful property. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning natural beauty, Kathleen’s land is the perfect spot. Her amazing hospitality and the breathtaking surroundings made this one of the best trips. We’re already counting down the days until we can return!

The perfect quick getaway for us. Having a beautiful site on the water was key, and we even decided to stay another night after rolling in. Felt private (little paths you can walk along from the site,) and as adults with a dog, the river access was perfect (handy rope attached to the tree at our river access point.) Sure, there's road sounds, but didn't bother us for the location. The BBQ, firepit, river view table, water, and utensils/pans etc were a bonus. Would definitely visit again.

The campsite was great, didn’t need to bring much. The tarp covering the kitchen/dining area excellent for shade or rain. Trail to river was easy and marked, Everything was as described. The pre-arrival instructions very helpful. The hosts, Paula and Bill, communicated well and readily available. Would definitely visit again.
