My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you.
I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site.
Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses.
We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray.
We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails.
There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking.
There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Lake Taghkanic is a great place for both summer and winter stays, with plenty of tent campsites as well as cabins and cottages, and a variety of activities to do year round. For winter folks, there's cross-country skiing and snowmobile trails, as well as ice skating and ice fishing areas, and plenty of fire pits to warm those chilly bones. For summer lovin', there are two beaches, so if someone kicks sand in your potato salad (accidentally, of course), you can just go to another beach and pretend like it never happened. The only sleeping quarters that are on the water are some of the cottages in the West End Cottage Area, so if you're planning on playing Beach Party Bingo, plan accordingly or be willing to walk a bit from your tent or cabin.

All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October.
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience.
Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. Guests NOT occupying canvas tent (lodging) and bringing their own tents should not be paying an occupancy tax but there is no provision for this in the app. We do not want our guests paying taxes -- that benefit no one but useless bureaucracy! Extra guests may be added the week before booking. Just let us know your plans through the app!

Welcome to The Record Room - Built directly from our hands and our hearts, The Record Room borders the fine line of camping and glamping, with a wood-fired cedar hot tub and outdoor shower that feeds off a small artesian creek, a sauna tucked within the trees, overlooking scenic ridge, and solar-powered vinyl that plays inside and out across a vast selection of vintage, classic, and current albums.
Back to our small creek, there are plenty of quaint spots to dip your toes. The Monguap River is close enough to see and hear, and the Delaware River is just 2 miles up the road, with rafting, kayaking, and canoeing companies all along it.
A queen Tempur-Pedic bed, as well as an overstuffed futon, will take care of you come nightfall. The outdoor kitchen is built for cooking some real food - a flat-top grill, a single burner, a stainless steel grate grill, cast-iron pans, and all utensils, all powered by propane. A wood stove inside will handle the chilly mornings and brisk nights. We have a pool table under a custom-built pavilion just for your enjoyment. And last but certainly not least, our outhouse, which is maintained by the women of our family.
We also have a nearby waterfall, which is as close as a three-minute drive down the road. The Hawks Nest lookout is under 10 minutes away. We recommend downloading a trail finder app, as once you arrive here, there will be zero service or wifi. Since we only have one bed and one futon, only four individuals can sleep comfortably, but we also have a couple of spots for your friend circle to set up some tents. Our mission is to get people back into the life we feel so disconnected from nowadays, and we provide the space to be able to do so.
We highly recommend the firewood package, as it makes life much easier, unless you plan on picking through the woods on your property (which we totally support!)

Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!)
At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer.
About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.)
The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

It is tucked in between the Hudson River (8 miles to the East) and the Catskill Mountains (10 miles to the west). It is just 6 miles from the Village of Saugerties and 14 miles to Woodstock, NY.
The piece available for camping is 10 acres, but the entire Garden is comprised of 98 acres of rolling land (most of it in a forestry protection plan) bordered on the west by acres of marshland. Many trails criss-cross the Garden and lead one to pretty or interesting vistas including a large mountain laurel patch, ancient graveyard, and different stands of mixed wood forests.
There’s lots of wildlife both on land and in the marshes.

The Little Witch Cottage is a rustic charming cottage from 1929 with timber framing and Catskill blue stone flooring. It sits in the middle of our yard about 200 feet from our more modern home. We have about 9 acres set back from the road. The cottage has a queen sized bed, dining table, and small kitchenette.
The kitchenette has a mini fridge, dishes, toaster oven, french press for coffee and an induction stove top. There is basic cooking supplies such as pots and pans.
We wired this vintage beauty to run on solar power and has an outhouse with a composting toilet, sink, and heated outdoor shower.
Outside the cottage is a small garden, picnic table, fire pit, and chairs.
Our land is mostly sloped fields that we are slowly turning into meadows full of native flowers and plants. There are mowed paths through the tall grass.
This is perfect glamping spot, a mixture of comfort and nature.
We are close to Catskill, NY and surrounded with a mix of beautiful nature and small town fun.

Only a quick drive to Tannersville, Hunter, Windham, Palenville, Woodstock, Phoenicia, Catskill and Saugerties where you can explore the cute town, restaurants, and shops. The site is perched on the banks of the Roaring Kill Stream, perfect for swimming and fishing. There are also lots of flat areas to put additional tents. Great access to the Roaring Kill Trailhead and to the Devil's Path Hiking Trail. If you're looking for some water activities take a short drive to Colgate Lake. Site guidelines Do be careful driving on the dirt jeep track out to the camp. Don't miss swimming in the Roaring Kill Falls. Do leave the campsite just as you found it. "Don't feed the bears." Seriously, do keep a very clean camp. Do ask questions about local activities- swimming holes, hiking, etc. Please take all trash with you, leave no trace!

Welcome to Clearing Farm! Our grounds expand over 100 acres with many private hiking trails, a big field and cascading waterfalls.
Please note while our cabin is a premium experience on a working farm, it is still an outdoor experience that takes place deep in the woods, off the grid and in a cabin built from earthy or recycled materials. It is a far cry from a typical hotel or traditional glamping.
Experience a private campsite equipped with a Casper Full Mattress, fire pit and charcoal grill. Please note there is 1 bed at the property but room next to the cabin to bring and put up additional tents. There is no power at the campsite.
THERE IS NO LONGER THE WOOD BURNING STOVE IN THE CABIN - THE TOWN MADE US TAKE IT OUT. There is also no shower. If you would like to bathe in the streams please use all natural soap as the animals drink from it. The Thermal Spring (hot tub) is no longer available. It was a $195 extra but the material and labor cost were too expensive to keep running it.

We're only 1.5 miles from a SECRET entrance to Fahnestock and the trailhead to Candlewood Hill, one of the park's most exquisite views.. Just 2.5 miles away is a main parking lot and the hub for several other hiking trails including Catfish Loop, Three Lakes, Old Mine Railroad and the famed Appalachian Trail. We can provide you with a trail map and help plan your hike. Swimming at Canopus Lake is only 7 miles away. Other Fahenstock activities include fishing, boat rentals, biking, and snowshoeing/x-country skiing in the winter.
Both the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming and Stonecrop Gardens are only about 8 minutes away.
15 minutes to the west, poised on the Hudson River is the historic colonial town of Cold Spring, with shopping, lovely restaurants, plenty of natural attractions and a picturesque riverfront. 30 minutes northwest is the more bustling hipster vibe of Beacon with coffee shops and live music venues, and 20 minutes southeast puts you in the heart of downtown Peekskill with Hudson Valley MOCA and the Paramount Theater.

Hucklebuck Railway Campground was an amazing experience! Our family had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the campground and the surrounding area. From the time we arrived at Hippie Havens, Shaggy & Kendra made us feel welcome, made sure we had anything & everything that we needed to make our trip great! Friday evening we spent some time chatting with Shaggy & had a blast, on Saturday we went to the Farmer’s Market and Kendra made me the most delicious iced coffee 😋 that I’m still dreaming of! 2 nights at Glamping Tent Overlooking Waterfall
I had a fantastic relaxing birthday. Sam was very helpful and quick to respond to help me with a few things. The place is wonderful. I highly recommend lounging on the river. The water leaves your skin feeling fantastic. The soaking tub at night is relaxing especially with the rain and the sound of the waterfall.
Oh and there's a big fluffy orange cat(I forget his name) he's a great camp counselor. 😹
I highly recommend this place. Please remember you're still in nature so be kind to the spiders, lil frogs and other lil creatures that venture in the camp after all it's there permanent home and you're a guest.

Such a sweet cozy cottage with plenty of amenities, lush gardens surrounding, outdoor shower in the garden was so nice (mint surrounding the outdoor shower smelled particularly good), close to many things to do- would really love to stay again! 2 nights at Waterfall Cabin
My son called this a “million dollar camping experience” both my 6&8 year old found the property amazing. We saw a wild turkey, deer, a hummingbird, tiny little frogs they loved catching, tadpoles, and tons of beautiful mushrooms.The camp had nice little touches like camp fire water set up and water in a jug to wash with. There was a garbage with a lid and easy dumpster disposal on the way out. There are so many little waterfalls and swimming spots in the stream, very fun to explore. Cabin was clean and secure feeling while sleeping. The property is not too far from town if you need/ forget something.

1 night at Hucklebuck Railway Campsites
We love this campsite and have been several times now. There’s no better furnished site in the area, and they’re very friendly and helpful hosts. They clearly take care of their site and the land, as it’s been in great condition for the past six years in the time we’ve been going to Hucklebuck Campsite East. The nature is stunning, the accommodations are great, and they have everything you need to get off grid comfortably for a little while.

Group trip
Don't know were to start, Thomas is just so friendly generous and professional, and the place was great for my group of 25 high school boys, the tents and all other parts were clean and ready perfect etc.
My group had a blast of a camping experience!

My family and I had a great experience camping here. Our girls loved exploring the forest and playing in the river. The showers were great to keep clean and the bell tent was very comfortable. Chantal was a welcoming and gracious host.

Weekend Trip to Hucklebuck Railway Campsites
Highly recommend! We weren't able to swim in the river due to a massive storm prior to our arrival but my family of 5 loved it!!!! Our kids ages 3,5,7 absolutely got the camping experience they were looking for.
This is a site where you don't have to bring much. My husband and I were so impressed on how camp ready everything was. It made camping there such a breeze!
PRIVATE & SERENE and SOOOOO MANY trails to explore. We didn't hear or bump into other campers. This site has great outlined trails and family friendly. Some of the best wildlife and everything was so well taken care of! An outhouse so clean and efficient that it had my kiddos going on their own!
Our family created so many core memories here, I'm sure we'll be back and recommend to all of our family and friends! The directions they provide were spot on and the site even included instructions on how to work everything! We were also guided to our site and got an in depth tour of how everything worked in person. Paula and her lovely family were available to answer any questions or concerns we had! We came, needing to be in touch with nature, and left with so much more! Regulated nervous system check!

John and A.C.'s place is a beautiful, peaceful respite in Big Indian. My husband, our daughter, our dog and I had such a restful and fun time in their well appointed and cared for site. The beds were comfy, the tent clean and spacious and Escopus creek was great for taking a dip and using the clay to paint my daughter's face. John was on site to show us around our first day and was a great host. It's also well located-- we can't wait to return because we didn't make it to pedal cars on the railway or the gondola ride! Phoencia was totally worth a visit, though. Highly recommend!

this campsite was extraordinary. so, so beautiful, secluded, great for a group, set on an incredible river that you can tube down with your friends, and conveniently only a ~10 minute drive away from stores. Mark (who goes by Max) is a generous, warm and kind host -- he made sure our group had everything we needed and he also shared lots of knowledge of local plants and animals. do not hesitate! book with the knowledge that the listing can only convey a fraction of the magic of the land. our group will be back :)

We had a wonderful stay at Jenna's Waterfall Cabin. The property is peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The waterfalls and hiking trails were definitely the highlight of our trip, and it was the perfect place to disconnect and relax.
The cabin is exactly as described—an off-grid experience, not a luxury cabin or hotel—so come prepared with your own bedding, water, cooking supplies, and flashlights. We appreciated that the listing was honest about what was and wasn't included, which made it easy to plan ahead.
If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the woods and enjoy camping with a bit more comfort, this is a great place to stay. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants a peaceful escape.
