Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. If you find any cool artifacts they are yours to keep or just leave them and we will add them to the display for the new cabin. Check out the iconic ‘57 Chevy Bel Air halfway down the gorge. If you've never heard of this ADORABLE breed of sheep, you absolutely MUST. GOOGLE. THEM... and like so many others, you will fall in love just like we did - so much so that we became part of the official breed-up program to bring this wonderful breed to the U.S.! (You're welcome!) :)
We currently have 10 wonderful Valais Blacknose sheep and lambs! We also have 3 adult Nigerian Dwarf goats, 4 baby goats, the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named "Walther," and a shy mini horse named "Harry Houdini!" :) All of our animals have free-range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe.
*** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay.
Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! ***
Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. During your stay, feel free to explore our property, do some fishing (bring your own gear!) or just relax by the pond, get to know our friendly animals, take a snooze in our hammock (coming soon!), feed the chickens, turkeys and ducks, pet our loving LGDs, pose for professional pictures while snuggling with our sheep, goats, mini donkey and mini horse, make your own pizza in our DIY outdoor brick oven stove, (coming soon!) then start a campfire and enjoy s'mores, before settling in for a cozy night under the stars!

Hi! We are Lolly & Eric Clough, and we named our ranch after the Swiss Valais Blacknose Sheep (a.k.a. "The World's Cutest Sheep!") If you've never heard of this ADORABLE breed of sheep, you absolutely MUST. GOOGLE. THEM... and like so many others, you will fall in love just like we did - so much so that we became part of the official breed-up program to bring this wonderful breed to the U.S.! (You're welcome!) :)
We currently have 10 wonderful Valais Blacknose sheep and lambs! We also have 3 adult Nigerian Dwarf goats, 4 baby goats, the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named "Walther," and a shy mini horse named "Harry Houdini!" :) All of our animals have free-range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe.
*** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay.
Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! ***
Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. During your stay, feel free to explore our property, do some fishing (bring your own gear!) or just relax by the pond, get to know our friendly animals, take a snooze in our hammock (coming soon!), feed the chickens, turkeys and ducks, pet our loving LGDs, pose for professional pictures while snuggling with our sheep, goats, mini donkey and mini horse, make your own pizza in our DIY outdoor brick oven stove, (coming soon!) then start a campfire and enjoy s'mores, before settling in for a cozy night under the stars!

I had a wonderful time at Haines Falls. It's very conveniently located, close to Tannersville and right down the road from Kaaterskill Falls. Matthew was extremely responsive and accommodating. The property is beautiful, with some views of the surrounding mountains.

This was a great private area to set up tent. My friend and I hiked all day and then found our area all ready with a box of firewood (paid extra and worth it!) and 2 buckets of water. There was a nice bench which we used as a table to set up our dinners. Plenty of room for 2 tents. Watched the fire until we went to bed. We woke up the next morning to the birds chirping, packed up, went on another hike and then heading home. The Catskills were beautiful, as usual!

We had such a special weekend camping on Robert's land. Pictures don't do it justice. It is jaw dropping beautiful and very private. Robert is the best hip camp host we've ever had and we've used hip camp for years. He is reasonable, flexible, and very considerate. The outhouse is extremely clean, and he provides firewood for purchase, a fire pit, wash stand for dishes, and a wood countertop perfect for your camp grill to sit on. The location is primo with lots of cute little towns around and hiking trails right off his property. We are definitely making an annual trip here.

Nice simple RV site. It looks like your with a lot of farm equipment but really your back in the woods. If you require power and water one will have to be 50' and the other 25'. Just be preparred. Mike was great with communication.

Michael is a gracious host. He gave me a walking tour of the property and showed me a few suggested spots to camp.
There is a spot off the right of the back yard that overlooks a pond. That's a cool area, but it's kind of close to the house. The other two suggested sites are off the road that goes into the woods off the end of the yard.
Off this road on the right, there is a campsite with a picnic table and fire ring. This looks to be their main campsite. There is another site at the end of the road. That's where I camped.
Road noise could be heard, but it quieted down in the evening. There are neighbors close up by the road that played music off and on that could be heard from my site. It wasn't loud enough where I could tell what songs were playing. I didn't mind it.
I had messaged Michael before booking about any noise restrictions, as I wanted to bring an acoustic guitar to play. He said that was fine, and it turned out great. I played during afternoon and evening, and nobody came by to tell me to stop.
It was a nice experience. I'll be back.

The valley was such an amazing place to camp at. The amenities were clean. There was plenty of distance between the sites to feel private. We will definitely come back to camp! PSA vehicle with decent ground clearance is highly recommended and there is no cell service once you drive past Phoenicia.

My 11-year-old daughter and I camped on Greg’s Cedar Lot site in our truck camper, and it was absolutely fantastic. A short path through the forest leads to a secluded, peaceful clearing with a level spot for camping, a perfectly placed fire pit, and breathtaking star-gazing at night. We added the firewood option and were impressed with the high-quality, bone-dry hardwood provided. Even with our 12.5-foot-high truck camper, the tree-lined path offered plenty of clearance. This site truly felt like a private oasis — we can’t recommend it highly enough!

Easy self check in. Mostly level grass area to park on. Matt was helpful in delivering us firewood. This is a great spot if Kaaterskill is on your trip as you are within a half mile. It’s a quiet place with lots of wilderness surrounding including all the coyotes and black bears that go along with the area so make sure you don’t leave any garbage out. I would definitely stay again.

Everything about this camp was awesome. I liked the view of the water and accessing it was very easy. The lean-to and the outhouse were well kept. Accessing the campsite was a simple minute drive from the road, and you can park right next to the site. The view of the stars was awe-inspiring.
I will definitely be back and I’d recommend to all campers.
