A true wilderness experience. Base camp is an old Catskill farmhouse built late 19th century but first deeded 1820. Sits at the base of Evergreen Mountain bordered on three sides by tumbling water: West Kill Creek, Herdman Brook, and Haring Brook. Operated as a hunting and fishing lodge for decades - rainbow, brown, heron, kingfishers, eagles, larks , deer, bear, mink, beaver, bobcat - all there, right out the door, literally. You don't know what's going to come through your camp.
The actual camp site itself is the ultimate in social distancing. As close to pure wilderness as it gets. No vehicles allowed at site. From an easily accessible parking space, it's a mildly uphill ten minute hike through magical meadows deep into a hidden mountain valley in the midst of 250,000 acres. Utter privacy. The only sounds being the wind, the birds, yourself, and Herdman Brook rushing along a few yards east of your site.
Once again no vehicles are allowed at the campsite itself. At one time, yes, but we needed to disallow it because the property was being torn up, and the beauty of the site is that it's so pristine. This is not glamping. No cabin. No platform. Need tent, tarp, or hammock, and you will sleep under more stars than you can possibly imagine.

This is true wilderness camping. You're off the grid at site - no cell service - but wifi available if necessary on front porch of main house aka base camp.

Campers ought to be aware that black bears live in these mountains., although you're not likely to see one unless it's running away from you. If you're really nervous bring bear spray, but you're not likely to need it. I literally chased one off our porch not a month ago.
I would appreciate your purchasing human waste bags from me at base camp when you arrive. I'll have them here for $3.00/bag. Feel free to buy your own. You should also bring FIRE STARTER to make your life easier. We sell firewood as well - 7 logs/$10. As with the waste bags, we would appreciate buying the firewood directly from us.
Wonderful hikes - one to a waterfall - trail head at end of Spruceton Rd. Hunter Brook, Devil's Notch, Fire Tower atop Hunter Mountain, Ridge of West Kill Mountain
West Kill Brewery and Spruceton Inn Bed and Bar each half mile up the road. Civilized respites.

One more thing: DOGS. We have two: a 13 year old female whatever and a shepherd-husky mix, 4 years old, also female. They are quite friendly and docile, although the shepherd looks intimidating, and both roam the property at will 2-3 times/day. We would prefer you not bring your dog, however, if you must, please be certain it is well behaved

Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night.
We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking!
There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you!

We had a great stay at Triple Creek! The view from the campsite is stunning and so peaceful and quiet. Stephen was communicative and very sweet when we arrived, and then gave us full privacy after check-in. Like other campers have mentioned, there is a considerable uphill walk to the campsite …a cart is a must, but it’s still quite a workout getting a cart up and your gear up there. We were there late October and the ticks were bad (mostly on the walk up/down)- we planned for it with long pants, boots, tick spray etc and were fine though. There’s a great brewery about a mile down the road and tons of really cool hiking very close to the campsite - we recommend hiking the West Kill Summit along Devil’s Path. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this site to other (prepared) campers!

Grateful for the opportunity to stay on Stephen’s beautiful, secluded, and serene land. Pack light and be prepared for a ~10 min uphill walk but it is SO worth it! The views are incredible: we watched the sun and moon rise/set with only the sounds of nature surrounding us. This is one of our favorite campsites: we will be back!

My family (pack) and I had such a wonderful time at Camp Covid Sit 19! Angie was an amazing host and this site felt very special. There's a lot of love that went into the entire set up and being able to let our pups all off leash was wonderful! We have two big boys and a corgi pup, and it was very safe~ there were no openings in the fencing! So big and little pups are all good here ^^
The site felt private and like a slice of serenity~
We definitely aim to come back to this site, hopefully for longer!!!

The campsite was absolutely wonderful. The facilities were thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need: comfortable chairs, a fire pit, a fully equipped cooking station with a gas grill (fuel provided), and even an on-demand hot shower. All we had to do was set up our tent and relax.
The location is tucked within a residential area, which makes it very quiet in the evenings and far more private than staying at a busy public campground. It’s an ideal home base if you’re looking to explore the surrounding area. That said, if your goal is complete seclusion and a truly remote experience, this might not be the perfect fit.
Overall, I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the area who wants a convenient, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay.

This place was far above expectations. The site is in town but fairly private, abuts a nice stream and is flat. What really stands out are the amenities and facilities. Power and water are very handy if you've been boondocking. More importantly is the amazing bath house and covered cooking area. Angie has a great eye for detail and most definitely has artistic talents. Everywhere you look, there is something fun to check out and all things function just right and are well thought out.
We didn't have a fire but there is a great fire pit, nice chairs, and ample nice wood for burning available.
We didn't meet Angie, but we did meet her husband who is very nice and a pleasure to chat with.
Lots of good hiking and things to see in the area. as well.

Stephen was a communicative and welcoming host. We checked in and did not see him again (didn't need to) after making our way deep into his property. The campsite is solid: good space for a tent, a nice firepit, and beautiful views of the stars on a clear night. The location is also nice. There are many trails nearby and as many others have said the West Kill Brewery is a great place to visit.

Great Spot! Everything you need is right there. Angie & family are super accommodating and helpful with information on the area. Their site is in the little town of Tannersville which is a great home-base for day trips to a TON of hiking trails and other fun Catskills towns. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be going back! Thanks Angie!

Weekend Trip to Teardrop Glamper w/ Lake Access!
Very cool little camper! If you’re tall, it is a little difficult getting in and out/sleeping, but it was definitely comfy and we loved the fire pit. We weren’t able to get to the lake, in the future it might be helpful to leave directions on how we can appropriately get there and access the kayaks. We stayed during the crazy storm and were thankful to be in a safe and neat spot!

Weekend Trip to Private Yurt Glamping
Absolutely loved our stay at the yurt. Even with the rain and getting our truck stuck (thanks Darren for helping us out) in the mud the yurt is one of my fav places I’ve stayed at. Loved just relaxing, hearing the rain on the yurt, while listening to the doors. Occasionally jumping on the trampoline. Nothing compares to the yurt.
