Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available as pre-order EXTRAS.

This was a very old dairy farm owned by the Duntley Family. Old farming equipment dispersed throughout the property. An old foundation from a sugaring house. Beautiful old rock walls. Deer and wildlife galore.

Camping is provided by and in support of the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a 501 3C non-profit company. Located in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest, the Outdoor Center provides access to the Blueberry Hill network of trails, the Vermont Long Trail, The Catamount Trail, and the Moosalamoo National Forest Trails.
All campsites are located at the edge of the field behind the Outdoor Center. We have hot/cold outdoor showers as well as restrooms in the Outdoor Center. For more information, visit our website at blueberryhilltrails dot com.
While there is an internet connection near the buildings, it may not be available at your site. Cell service is limited at best. You can drive your car right up to your site. Sites are a good distance apart. Site 1 and the Bed in the Shed are the most private. Site two is quite open and supports trailers.
For your campfire, you can forage for wood or request "bundles" (about a dozen hunks of wood) by the morning of your arrival, and we'll have it delivered to your site. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted.
Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. As stewards of these trails, your camping fees help support the efforts of this non-profit comany. Nearby, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Trail maps are provided upon arrival, and you can also view them online on our webpage at Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center.
The Outdoor Center offers snacks and cold drinks for purchase, including our inn-made chocolate chip cookies, chips, and cold drinks. Also available on site, at the Inn across the road on mornings we are serving, may be a full breakfast, pastries, packed lunch, and coffee. (Please enquire in advance or night before if any inn items are available. ) Don't miss our Pizza Nights at the inn. More info on the Outdoor Center or Blueberry Hill Inn webpage. Our HipCamp is set on a six-acre property featuring three acres of mature maple trees and a historic 200-year-old home that now operates as an inn. Campers are welcome to stop by in the morning for a 50 cent cup of fresh, hot coffee or our inn's legendary breakfast for $15/person.

A great, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out site. I stayed two nights while exploring the trails and really enjoyed the view over the field with their horses during the day and the stars at night were amazing. The outhouse was convenient and clean as well. I definitely plan on returning someday soon!

My family (7 year old daughter, husband and dog) had the most wonderful time tent camping at the Hops site on Heather and Paul's beautiful farm. It's such a special, expansive place with so many cool spots to hike to within the farm that we didn't feel like we needed to leave the property. We loved the peace and privacy of the Hops site but next time we'd like to try to Oak tree site which has stunning views. My daughter loved drinking directly from the spring behind Heather's house, and visiting the pergola near dusk. The highland cows against the backdrop of rolling hills and the beautiful slate structures look like paintings. I'd definitely recommend taking the tour of the property to orient yourself. Heather is a lovely person and a knowledgeable and engaging host.

Tip-top spot with breathtaking views in a great location, 45 minutes from Burlington and 45m-1.5h from the interior (Waterbury, Killington, Woodstock, Montpelier, Stowe), right in the heart of the Green Mountains. Melinda and Dave were very responsive to our messages and just great hosts. They maintain a beautiful, flat site with a lot of privacy, a stocked and cleaned outhouse, and complementary firewood. What’s not to love? This was our first trip with our rig up to Vermont and it’s definitely gonna be part of a regular rotation. Many thanks to these great people for letting us stay at their property! This is what HipCamp is all about.

My daughter and I loved the site at Blueberry Hill Inn. We wish we would have noticed the availability of dinner at the Inn. Everything was beautiful and well maintained. We utilized the wifi in the Outdoor Center and hiked on the cross country ski trails. Just beautiful.

Heather provided us with the perfect getaway weekend! Her farm is so beautiful and she is a wonderful hostess! The Hops site was very private and peaceful. The outdoor seating and firepit made it so easy to relax and enjoy the fall evenings. The hiking trails that they have made are great to explore. We also took advantage of the outdoor shower which was such a nice experience. Even the outhouse was comfortable and meticulously maintained, and this is coming from someone who normally tries to avoid them. Last and certainly not least, we are still enjoying some of the home-grown/homemade treats from her farm stand, and cannot wait to return to Slateville. Thank you to Heather and Paul for such a great weekend!

This was a lovely camping spot with lots of space and beautiful fall views. Picnic table, fire pit with chairs, and your own porta-john. Close and easy to get to from the highway, but with no loud traffic. It's quiet at ADK Saddle Hill and highly recommended!

My paradise valley. You have this whole valley to yourself, with a creek running through it, and a cool old stone bridge.
Amazing.
If you're at your camp, at night, across the bridge, and you see this furry thing that wants to cross the bridge. Don't freak out, it's just a beaver. If you keep still, even with a Headlamp pointed at him, he'll slowly cross the bridge. He'll keep an eye on you, and he will go his merry way. Friendly neighborhood beaver. If I didn't live so far away, I'd stay here again soon.

The Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, adjacent to the inn of the same name, is a beautiful property in a relatively remote location in Moosalamoo NRA. Camping is in a big field and my campsite had a picnic area and fire pit. I had two beautiful clear nights with fantastic stargazing. Site 2 is a little distant from the Outdoor Center building which has amenities like outdoor showers, rest rooms, information and maps, hot water and snacks. High quality meals are available many evenings at the inn, albeit a bit pricey. A network of trails is open to the public leaving from behind the inn, and the area roads are good for gravel biking (which is what brought me there). Bring all supplies with you, there are no stores anywhere nearby.

The parking lot at the inn was a perfect spot for our camper and a place to rest our heads! It was wonderful! We added a bathroom which was so clean and just what we needed after the spartan race at Killington! Elizabeth was beyond friendly and accommodating- I would highly recommended staying here to others. The small parts of the Inn we got to walk through were absolutely beautiful as well. I am still not over the views at this campground and never will be 😭😍 my husband and I went on our anniversary trip this past weekend and waking up to the mountains and seeing sunset every day was beyond a dream. Sarah’s horses were so sweet and friendly too, and they even came right up to the fence when we were sitting there one day. And on another note, SHE HAS THE 👏🏻 NICEST 👏🏻 OUTHOUSE 👏🏻🤣 it has a light and is clean as a whistle 😂😂😂😂 in addition, Sarah answered our questions speedily and recommended some hiking spots in the Adirondack Mountains. We stayed at camp site #2 for reference and saw the views in the pics below 😍anybody would enjoy their time at Saddle Hill:)
