Peace and relaxation is the name of the game. Enjoy this 23 acre wooded property to get away or to have close access to local activities. Spend the day reading by the creek, sitting by a campfire at the campsite or enjoy close activities the Finger Lakes has to offer. Fillmore Glen State Park is about 5 miles and Summerhill State Forest is about 2 miles away. Southern Tier Stables is a short drive through the state land if you want to go horseback riding. You will be in close proximity to 3 Finger Lakes: Owasco Lake is closest, but Cayuga and Skaneateles are not far away. Each offer public boat launches, boat rentals and swimming opportunities. Modern Market is a full service, locally owned grocery store in Moravia, which is only about 7 minutes from the property.
This property is also in close proximity to the east side of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and there are a variety of breweries to access if that is your thing (Homer Hops, and Owasco Lake Brewing).
If you want to stay on the property, there are a few miles of trails you can walk on (tractor paths), a sunset viewing spot, a small stream to soak your feet and smells of the forest.

Brooks Mullahy manages Sunswick Farm’s apiary, which includes 13 bee yards and over 200 hives. A bee yard is a collection of anywhere from 4 to 21 hives in one place, and our yards are located at the farm and on private properties throughout Cayuga, Cortland, and Onondaga Counties.

About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. 2025 marked our first year offering camping to the public, and we look forward to HipCampers joining us in our unique venue. All 4 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Trials riders and non-Trials Riders alike will find much to enjoy here. Campers unfamiliar with Trial are welcome to take advantage of a Lesson on one of our Rental Bikes, while the Obstacle Course is also super-fun on foot (for walks or runs), mountain bike, trials bicycle, or for playing with your RC toy! We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is not obnoxious (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and Commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: Sundays are a practice day or Event day. We host 4 Mototrial Events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating not your thing- no worries. Non-event/non-practice days are quite laidback. If Trials riders come here for additional practice (or instruction) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring Events or Sunday Practice ), it's typically only 2-4 at once. Multiple activities co-exist nicely, as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.

Robinia in Glenwood is a working homestead located on 24 acres of mostly forested land. The predominant species in the mixed hardwood forests are Robinia Pseudoacacia (Black locust) and Black Walnut. There are places on the land and a short walk away along DuBois and Glenwood Heights Roads where there are wonderful views of Cayuga Lake. It is less than a mile walk or ride to the Black Diamond Trail, a hiking and biking trail that extends four+ miles North to Taughannock Falls State Park and four+ miles South to Cass Park, the Ithaca Children's Garden, and the City of Ithaca Municipal Pool. And all of downtown Ithaca. Hundreds of adjacent (although not accessible) acres are wildlife preserves, abandoned orchards, and a working honey bee and bison farm. Bathroom and hot showers available in the house, included in price, indoor kitchen and an on-site enclosed porch space for rainy days available for separate fee. Gardening, produce and flower-picking can be arranged on-site in season. Within biking distance of Finger Lakes National Forest in Hector. A step up from glamping, the "Shack" is a rustic, bohemian 2-story cabin/ art studio on a property that was formerly a train station. The property has 3 cottages on it and is situated across the street from Cayuga Lake in a secret wild garden, but is a 6 minute drive to downtown Ithaca Commons.
This cottage is not for everyone. It is a cheap option in a cute, very bare bones cottage. It is best suited for low maintenance, easy travelers who are looking for an inexpensive place to crash after a long day of exploring.
Guests who stay in the Shack share the bathroom in the main house with me - the bathroom has a separate entrance from the one I use in the main house.
The cabin consists of 2 rooms - the upstairs has a double sized futon and a single futon mattress that can be used for guests, and the downstairs is a lounge/studio area.
Note that the bedroom is accesses via a ladder type staircase. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but for the right fit it is the perfect home base to explore Ithaca's many spenders, ideally located across the street from Stewart Park and the trailhead to the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. and a short walk to the Stewart Park/downtown bus line and the East Shore swimming beach.
Note, there is a cat who lives on the property and he sometimes comes to visit this studio. I see guests inviting him in occasionally to visit. If you're allergic, this isn't a good option for you.

Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. This was our second stay and always are first pick when seeing shows at beak and skiff! Great place to set up a quick tent site and cook a cozy meal. They also have a farm stand where I was able to buy fresh eggs and make French toast in the morning for me and my partner !

Easy to find spot! Loved that there is a stand right there of crafts, maple syrup (from the trees at the camp!) and even eggs available!
The hosts Anne and Paul were so kind, they even gave us mini bottles of syrup that we had the pleasure of trying with our Sunday breakfast cooked at camp 😋
The gazebo spot with rocking chairs, a table, and grill was the perfect spot for cooking, and a great spot to stay dry when it did rain. The toilet was comfy, clean, and easy to use (and stocked with everything you would need!) the fire pit is also well placed with great seating already there and wood available as well.
I don’t think we could have asked for a better spot to spend a couple days and explore the nearby lakes and falls and relax!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well cared for. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming.
One of the highlights of our visit was meeting their adorable baby goats! They were kind enough to let us spend some time with them, which made the experience even more special.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with wonderful hosts and a beautiful setting.

My wife and I had a great stay at Underhill Forest and Farm. The property was beautiful and a perfect place to relax after exploring the area. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and we loved being surrounded by nature.
It felt like a true getaway while still being close to all the hiking, wineries, and restaurants we wanted to visit. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing spot near Ithaca.

The Pines was a wonderful secluded spot to stay over the weekend! It was protected from wind and rain and was far away from any other camping spots. At one point we left our cars lights on for too long and needed jump but Craig was very responsive and showed up within 20 minutes! Super nice guy and would recommend again!

Lovely spot, the pond is small and secluded. You can hear the peepers at night and the birds in the morning. Excellent spot for birdwatching, it rained a bit but I was nice and cozy. The compost toilet is a perfect and functional choice and made my stay more comfortable.

Do not hesitate to book this location! This is a very nice piece of property with a long, mowed trail which is terrific to play fetch with your pup! Very private! The outside setup with different types of chairs was fabulous & accommodating! They thought of everything (outdoor dog lead, water bowls, grill, firepit, firewood/kindling, etc.). The inside of the camper was clean and worked as it should. The hosts were so kind and responsive! As other reviewers have said, you only need to pack your food, they have thought of everything else, including a pour-over coffee maker, plenty of dishware, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. The fridge and freezer are quite spacious and worked perfectly! There is a bathroom in the camper but they also have the cleanest outhouse I have ever seen! They are also planning to work on the pond to make it bigger and have added some steps for easy access. We are looking forward to returning!

I really enjoyed my stay in the "mini barn". It is my first time sleeping on a pool table! Actually with the supplied mattress it was comfortable and I slept like a baby. Mike and Laurel were super pleasant and laid back, I felt right at home.
