Great private campsite with clean outhouse. Will stay again in the future!
We had a lovely 2 night stay here enjoying a much-needed peaceful getaway. Our hosts were very good communicators and were quick to respond to inquiries. The sound of the stream lulled us to sleep and we loved morning coffee overlooking the fields, the sunsets and stars from the lookout. We would definitely recommend this site and we are looking forward to coming back!

Place was amazing. So peaceful and just what we needed. Hope to return.
This place with absolutely beautiful down to the trail to the campsite, the other sunset trail, all the way through the creek and all the tiny little frogs, fishes and critters! I would 10/10 recommend! It was very quiet and the 1,000s of fireflies at the end of the night was BUGGG BONUS! 🔥☮️🏕️

Tent camping here was such a magical experience! The trees were beautiful, and the stream was so peaceful. My husband and I came with our dog and we were blown away by how much care was put into making this campsite special. Driving the trail down to this site made it seem like we were camping in the wilderness! Definitely recommend.
We had a great time camping on Ian’s land. Having the creek right next to the site is really nice. The sunset viewing spot was enjoyable as well. Our whole group had a great time (especially our pup)! Thanks!

This site is the perfect getaway, in my opinion! Totally private and peaceful, wood to get the fire going and a the surrounding sky high trees were endless. We were able to drive onto the site with our AWD no problem. Thank you, Ian!
Amazing property and site! THIS has to be my best hipcamp site yet. Completely isolated from anyone else, stream, woods, toilet, quiet, small toads, wide trails, sunset viewing area, wood provided with an option to purchase more. Heaven.
I spent two nights and considered staying a third. On my first full day there I had originally planned on going to Fillmore Glen State Park, but decided to stay at camp and enjoy myself there. I wanted to take full advantage of my stay!
The short off-road road down to camp wasn't bad at all to drive. He offers that you can park at the top of the road down to camp if you are not comfortable driving it but in my opinion you'd need a cart or something to lug all your stuff down to camp.
Fillmore Glen State Park, which I highly recommend, is only a 6 minute drive away!

Great trip! We hoped to swim in the creek but that was definitely not a possibility with the water level. Did get to see a bunch of baby frogs/tadpoles, shooting stars, sunset and some fireflies 🩷

Beautiful spot, well maintained. The drive down in my Subaru was pretty easy but can see how it would be difficult with some vehicles. Highly recommend for the views and the creek.

Another great stay. Creekside firepit, a nice little waterfall to sit by, short hike up to a beautiful sunset area with a picnic table and 2 ADK chairs. My favorite camping spot.

Absolutely beautiful spot to get away for a bit. The creek and waterfall give an ambiance that is hard to get on such a personal level. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a spot with a firepit next to a creek in the woods and this spot had that and more. A short hike up the creek is a relaxing little waterfall. A hike up the ridge and there’s a beautiful sunset spot that is a great place to hang out anytime of the day to soak up some sun or at night to watch the moon and stars. Hoping to get back to Fern Gully again soon.
Private location with a lovely sounding stream, a nice level spot for placing a tent, a REAL bundle of wood, a hammock, picnic table. an outhouse that doesn't smell :) ... but what you can't see is the attention to detail from the host. The most thoughtful camp host I've encountered. Very clear communication. Trails are clearly marked. Example of detail ... firewood is in a sealed can so it stays dry along with kindling and newspapers too.

Couldn't be happier with our stay, the site was perfect. Had a good flat spot for our sizeable tent, one bundle of firewood was provided with the stay, the sounds of the creek were wonderful to fall asleep to, and the sunset spot was awesome. Can't wait to stay there again!
Really glad we found this place. It had everything. A nice place for our tent close to the creek, a hammock, a picnic table and an outhouse. Everything was easy accessible (we drove our Subaru forester down to the site) and well organized/clean. The best part was the trails to the sunset viewing spot and the little waterfalls.
The walk to the campsite was a bit muddy (after several days of rain), but the streamside location was beautiful (and wonderful to sleep next to!), had a two person hammock set up waiting for us, and the well-maintained toilet was clean and stocked. It was a great spot and we would happily recommend and come again.
This was the perfect secluded location. As mentioned in Ian’s post, you definitely would need a vehicle that is meant for something off road in order to get down to the campsite. We opted to keep our car in the parking available, and we walked our camping gear down the three minute hill to the campsite (disclaimer: we are in our 20’s and more than one trip up/down that hill was a hike in itself). We had various weather during our stay which was expected, and Ian even messaged us during our stay to see if we wanted to use a pop up tent to give us some extra coverage from any rain which was extremely considerate. Lucky for us there were some beautiful moments where the sun came out and shined through the trees. My favorite part was the small creek directly next to the campsite. Up a little ways was a decent sized waterfall at the beginning of the creek where we took an amazing outdoor shower (with biodegradable soap of course). Fillmore Glen State Park was approx a 5 min drive from the campsites location which had some amazing waterfalls, and nice hiking options. It was a great stay!!!
Host was extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The very short drive down was well cleared from stumps and roots and path was fairly dry. We drove an Equinox (AWD) and we were able to navigate through some turns, slight incline and through some deep ruts. We parked just at the top of our site and walked our gear down a small hill. The site itself is beautifully shaded in the gully right next to babbling brook (great for sleeping!) and a small waterfall!! Site not only had a beautiful fire pit, also right next to the brook but a newish picnic table, a military hammock and plenty of firewood. The host went one step further and included kindling, a log book for guests and bug spray. If you want to check out the sunset on the orange trail, you'll need to bring some waterproof shoes as you'll cross a section of the brook and more bug spray. Bring enough lanterns/flashlights etc, it is quite dark at the site. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to return again someday! Thank you Ian and Danielle.
