Situated in the heart of the Finger Lakes, Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake has been in operation since 1954 as a small non-profit summer camp and retreat facility. We enjoy welcoming people from around the world to our little camp community!
Our site includes nearly 120 scenic acres with a seasonal brook, hiking trails, fishing pond, an organic vegetable garden, a labyrinth, and excellent birding opportunities - all overlooking Seneca Lake. We are located half way between historic Geneva, NY and Watkins Glen, NY with the iconic state park and international speedway.
Our site offers a wide range of accommodations including 4 quaint cottages that accommodate 4-6 guests. All with kitchenettes, full private bath, fire ring, picnic table and BBQ grill.
Additionally, we offer a bunkhouse for your large family or youth group, and smaller summer camp cabins that sleep 4 each. A central shower house is a short walk away, with each cabin site having its own porta-potty and handwashing station.
If tent camping is your style, we have several sites off the beaten path that we can recommend for your more secluded camping experience. COMING SOON! We will have 6 RV sites with full hook-ups for those who would like to bring their own rig!
Again, our property features a swimming pool, hiking trails, a small organic garden and activities such as archery, boating and more for guests. Many of these activities require staff to facilitate, so please make your actvity requests well in advance!

Brooks Mullahy manages Sunswick Farm’s apiary, which includes 13 bee yards and over 200 hives. A bee yard is a collection of anywhere from 4 to 21 hives in one place, and our yards are located at the farm and on private properties throughout Cayuga, Cortland, and Onondaga Counties.

Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.

The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.

A step up from glamping, the "Shack" is a rustic, bohemian 2-story cabin/ art studio on a property that was formerly a train station. The property has 3 cottages on it and is situated across the street from Cayuga Lake in a secret wild garden, but is a 6 minute drive to downtown Ithaca Commons.
This cottage is not for everyone. It is a cheap option in a cute, very bare bones cottage. It is best suited for low maintenance, easy travelers who are looking for an inexpensive place to crash after a long day of exploring.
Guests who stay in the Shack share the bathroom in the main house with me - the bathroom has a separate entrance from the one I use in the main house.
The cabin consists of 2 rooms - the upstairs has a double sized futon and a single futon mattress that can be used for guests, and the downstairs is a lounge/studio area.
Note that the bedroom is accesses via a ladder type staircase. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but for the right fit it is the perfect home base to explore Ithaca's many spenders, ideally located across the street from Stewart Park and the trailhead to the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. and a short walk to the Stewart Park/downtown bus line and the East Shore swimming beach.
Note, there is a cat who lives on the property and he sometimes comes to visit this studio. I see guests inviting him in occasionally to visit. If you're allergic, this isn't a good option for you.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. This property is so beautiful I almost don't want to share because I want it available for the next time I want to book. Listening to the babbling brook while sleeping is the best part. The cabin has electricity and all the things you need. Bed is descent, it's super close to Watkins Glen and tons of hiking options. We brought our own portable shower because the brook is way too cold to rinse off in. The waterfall is a little extra bonus. Luke stayed and hung out with us all day Saturday and is a sweet boy!

We had a great time glamping at camp minglewood as a couple . Everything was as described. Perfect location for exploring the finger lakes region. Site was located behind a mobile home park, but it felt very private and secluded. The cabin was well designed, comfortable and you can drive right up to the doorsteps. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn’t use it. There is a hot water shower system and a kitchen faucet too which uses rain water collected in a big tank, but we brought our own portable shower system and used bottled spring water. Falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the creek and waking up to fresh air and greenery made the stay unforgettable.

I loved staying in Marie's cabin! It's rustic but had everything I needed for a cozy night. When I arrived, she gave me a tour of her beautiful farm and showed me all the animals. Having the pond right in front of the cabin makes for a very peaceful atmosphere. There are lots of trails to explore, horses to pet and peace and quiet to enjoy. Thanks again for the warm welcome and a lovely stay!

Two cabins were completely clean, theres a great grill, fireplace and access to the lake/creek. Many great attractions nearby, and Susan was very responsive throughout the whole process. Spot was also easy to find, and there were plates/bowls, utensils and other tools on site.

Been to the cabin several times. Very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful with hiking trails with views that are amazing. The owner is great he even kept cabin open for us two weeks after he usually shut down for the season. If you get a chance definitely check out this hip camp.

Weekend Trip to Haven in the trees
Beautiful location and views! The cabin is so lovely- straight forward but also well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches and art! Loved hanging on the screen-in porch and being able to take a hot shower outside. Sauna was incredible, just takes time and patience :) Air mattress was comfier than I expected too. I hope to return for another staycation in the woods soon!
