We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. Thanks for checking us out! We purchased our 20.5 Acres of land in the 1970's. We lived in a small dwelling and lived off the land for years; with a large garden and small farm animals.
Now, our property has become our retirement sanctuary, for us to use with our RV. We developed 2 RV sites with full hookups, including 30, 50 Amp and 110 electric. There is water and sewage hookups, at both sites. We would like to share this sanctuary with others, who would appreciate it. You can book 1 site or add the second site at the extras section, in check out. We are only renting to one party at a time. You will have the campsites to yourselves.
Our property is one mile from Cowanesque Lake, where there is fishing, boating, and swimming. You will enjoy wildlife, on our property and in the surrounding area such as deer, bald eagles, various birds, hoot owls at night, and others. It is also within driving distance from the Finger Lakes and wineries, Watkins Glenn, Corning Glass Museum, Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, Hills Creek State Park, Mansfield University, Tioga Boar Hunting Reserve, and the adorable town of Wellsboro.
There are no lights on our property and is very dark at night. It is best to arrive during daylight, for easier RV hook up. However, due to the darkness, stargazing is spectacular. We have been able to see the Milky Way, at times. There is only one other home visible from the campsites. Enjoy!

Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. I walked many lots over the previous several years and this pasture was perfect. This location is a work in progress. The pictures are over a few years and when you get there the hay could be high, it could have just been cut.

What an amazing place! Gary is such a gracious host! I had a spot close to the shop and it was perfect. A beautiful tree canopy with a burn pit and bench. The goats were fun to listen to and watch and the chickens came to visit a few times. Breakfast on Saturday, made by Gary, is a delicious perk and a great way to meet other campers. Other than the tour with the goats, I didn’t get to explore much due to the weather, but that just gives me a reason to return.

Excellent spot and my wife and I had a great time for our anniversary trip! The cabin is well kept and maintained, with all the amenities listed in working order. We especially loved the wood stove in the cabin, which kept us warm and worked perfectly. Marie was an excellent host and shouted out some local recommendations. Nearby to all the local attractions, but secluded enough to feel like you're camping. Thanks for having us!

Great stay! A lovely private cabin with a great mountain view. It’s up a steep hill so you’ll need to be able to do that, but you can park right next to the cabin. There’s a nice stone firepit and a huge supply of firewood, as well as a gas grill, and a nifty indoor toilet and a sink where you can pump (nonpotable) water as you brush your teeth. The heat in the cabin is more than adequate, I’m sure it can heat the cabin well even in cold weather. It was great walking the trails around the fields with the dogs running free. Robby is super nice and was very responsive. It would be a great place to stay at twice the price!

My family stopped here on our way to the finger lakes. The clear skies and stars were amazing and we had a fire to stay warm for viewing. There were two sites and we were the only ones there. That’s how the hosts roll which is amazing as it made our stay very quiet. We only had one visitor who came up wanting to sell us firewood. Our dogs are guard dogs so he didn’t come back after we said no thank you. Overall a wonderful 3 nights. We hope to return again!

Wendy and Dennis’s place was beautiful calm and very clean. They were very helpful with directions and the arrival and set up was super easy. We had to arrive a day late due to change of plans and Wendy went above and beyond to give us a refund for that day even without us asking for it. They were very sweet to do that. Always checked in with us that everything went well, and the place was very accessible to Corning Museum and the Market Place - only 20 mins away. The camp site was so peaceful with occasional deer walking up to our camp.
We are already planning to come back soon.. and would love to camp here again!

Staying at your camp was amazing!! We were tired after a long drive, arrived late and were soooo happy to arrive to the handsomely large bundle of wood already nicely arranged with a fire starter right in the middle, with a lovely helping of smores waiting for us as well ( we did add these to our reservation and really appreciated how easy and fairly priced it was). The campsite was super cute, all lit up, and very private. The tent was roomy and clean and the bed was very very warm (it was a fairly cold night). The stars looked amazing, as advertised, and the view from the property as well as the property itself were beautiful. It was nice to go for a little walk with our dog in the morning along the cleared trails. I took a sneaky peak at the hilltop site as well since I knew it wasn’t booked that night and it was lovely. The portable toilet was clean and very close to the lower site we stayed at. Not a bad walk down the hill from hilltop, but we appreciated how very close it was to our site, though not close enough to feel like we’d sacrifice any privacy if other campers had to use it. The instructions and property map were very clear which made finding the property and the site a breeze even though we arrived late at night. The hosts clearly put a lot of effort into the sites and I’m looking forward to staying here again if we’re ever in the area.

The little cabin was absolutely perfect and stocked with everything we needed. There is a propane heater inside for chilly nights. There were plates, silverware, and basic utensils. A small camp stove was there for our use as well. The bathroom was nice and clean even though it is a compost toilet. Firewood and kindling were provided, both kept covered to keep it dry. The beds were clean and comfortable.
The property itself was absolutely gorgeous as well! Our two dogs enjoyed to free roam and we walked around the cornfield behind the cabin. We even saw five deer during our stay. Super secluded and worth every penny. We would be happy to stay again.

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Creek
Nice secluded spot. The cabin was kept very nice, and the heater was a plus. We appreciated the hatchet for kindling even though we ordered wood. We used a mattress topper on the pullout bed which was great. The creek is beautiful and about a 10 minute walk up the creek to the waterfall which was awesome. There were people staying at that campsite by the waterfall. Not sure how private it would be if there are other campsites along the way, so I’m glad it was relatively empty this time. Really lovely, especially this time of year.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our first trip together and we had a great time. There are only a small handful of sites and they are pretty spread out so it felt very private and quiet! We stayed at Pooh’s Hideaway which is the largest site but the other sites looked to be pretty spacious as well. Our site included 2 chairs, a picture table and a hammock (which was super comfortable)! It was overal a really good experience and I would love to come back next year!! Thank you Matt and Sheryl for creating such an increíble environment!!
