This site can only be reached by foot across the river via stumps- a car can be parked near by.. approx. 50ft.  I also have a Vintage Camper that can be heated, has a kitchen, electricity and plenty of outdoor furniture with a fire pit and serene mountain views. As well as a monastic and very grounding Ensuite Bedroom, or a simple campsite if you want to bring your own camper or tent. All facilities have access to a guest bathroom inside the main house. I offer dog sitting while you soak at Ojo, healing modalities that you'll find in the Extras section, and my dear neighbor Jackie takes appointments for massages with homemade essential oils. +++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce. The land is naturally and beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars.  With land by the river comes the mosquitos- June to August only. They are predominantly active during sunrise and sunset; long loose fitting clothes and a repellent work great. Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away.  *No cell service in the greater area. WiFi reaches around the house/deck and allows for WiFi Calling: that’s a setting in your phone that enables phone calls & texts beside usual internet access.

Right by the river, held by a ridge (that makes for amazing sunset hikes), I have a 16ft Yurt Canvas set up with furnishings (desk, couch, wash stand) and a wooden Queen Bed with down bedding. This site can only be reached by foot across the river via stumps- a car can be parked near by.. approx. 50ft.  I also have a Vintage Camper that can be heated, has a kitchen, electricity and plenty of outdoor furniture with a fire pit and serene mountain views. As well as a monastic and very grounding Ensuite Bedroom, or a simple campsite if you want to bring your own camper or tent. All facilities have access to a guest bathroom inside the main house. I offer dog sitting while you soak at Ojo, healing modalities that you'll find in the Extras section, and my dear neighbor Jackie takes appointments for massages with homemade essential oils. +++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce. The land is naturally and beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars.  With land by the river comes the mosquitos- June to August only. They are predominantly active during sunrise and sunset; long loose fitting clothes and a repellent work great. Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away.  *No cell service in the greater area. WiFi reaches around the house/deck and allows for WiFi Calling: that’s a setting in your phone that enables phone calls & texts beside usual internet access.

But also a beautiful place to dip your toes or jump on in! Rio Gorge Bridge: 10min and you will be at the Rio George Bridge. One of the most gorgeous scenic overlooks. You can walk across the bridge to a 200ft drop below to the Rio! There a few local Mountain Goats that chill here regularly. Here you will also find public restrooms as well as dumpsters. There are no restrooms on site. An outhouse is being built but for now we dig holes or use the restrooms at the George Bridge. There are local vendors usually set up here in the parking lot. Taos Ski Valley: The Taos Ski Valley is about 45min. But worth the drive to get away into the mountains grab some food and beverages! Earthships: The Earthships are located 5min down the road. If you are interested in building off grid homes I recommend checking out the visitor center! Taos Mesa Brewery: There is a brewery 10/15min away that has outdoor shows and events. we arrived late in the evening and was grateful that the host met us to help back in because site 1 is a little tricky. I had a 19ft Sprinter and it was fine. Actually we were able to park both Sprinters parallel on site 1. Try to make sure you get there before sunset, cuz the road is narrow and the hip camp is a little tricky to locate. It is off the main highway but close enough to hear traffic but quiets down in the evening. Grateful for the electric hookup and water spout and trash can. Felt very safe. Very good price for all that is offered.

We didn't get to meet Kelly as we were in and out fairly quick, but we were sent very clear instructions on finding the property, and we appreciated her local hiking and restaurant tips. We also didn't end up using the amenities during our quick overnight stay, but offering power, water, trash services, and a clean porta-potty for this price was very kind. There was some light road noise as the sites backup onto the highway, but we still had a restful night of sleep. We did hear lots of coyote calls in the distance which was pretty cool! Site 1 is the smallest of the three RV sites as it has a large tree off the side, but it was still easy to back into with our 19' camper. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

This site is right on the river bank and is super peaceful. We did not have any problems with bugs. The site is set up with full hook ups as well as a little patio with a fireplace and seating. J & T met us upon arrival and were very friendly and informative about local things to do. Getting out was a little tricky (our tt is 27’) but not impossible. We’ll definitely be staying again!
