Tres Piedras This private camping spot is located in the beautiful mountains of Tres Piedras, New Mexico, offering a rustic escape near the Carson National Forest. Surrounded by dirt roads and easements, the area provides plenty of space for walking and exploring the high-elevation landscape. It is a fantastic location for stargazers, as the night skies are exceptionally dark and clear. While the site offers a quiet and remote feel, it is conveniently located near the Chili Line Depot restaurant for those looking for a meal nearby. The property is also within reach of several regional attractions, situated about 15 miles from the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and close to the Earthships museum. Please note that this is a primitive camping experience; there is no running water or toilet on-site, and no RV hookups are available (though RVs are welcome to book as tent sites). Campfires are permitted in the designated fire place. Pets are welcome but should remain leashed to ensure their safety in the wild terrain. Whether you are looking for a basecamp for hiking and rock climbing or simply a peaceful place to reset, this spot offers a genuine connection to the New Mexico wilderness.Site 1 is located in the mountains area of Tres Piedras near the Carson Forest. You have access to a tent and a fire place. No rv hookups but are welcome just book as a tent. No toilet or running water available to tenets, but the chilli line restaurant is right up the road from here. Lots of things to see in Taos County. Pets welcome but please try to keep a leash as pets can get lost or run off which is the tenets responsibility at your discretion. Noise needs to be kept at a respectful level after midnight. Beautiful walking areas as well. Wind is slight and sometimes cool at night. The area is dirt roads from easements of other properties so please take it slow and be respectful. Thank you. :) You can have on site help as will try to be available as possible.
