This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people and the other can accommodate three. The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. So that means Sundays are not available or evenings. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and coffee maker. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first!  Listen to the birds and relax!  And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle!   Want to play with goats? THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater with miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. However, there is a small fee to dock your boat overnight (see "Extras") at our site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Thank you for a lovely stay! Ken and Marley made us feel so welcomed the moment we arrived on the property that it felt like we were greeting and old friend. They even delivered our ice and firewood right to our site. Our pup Mabel had the time of her life tunning and playing in the field, although a bit too much at times, tossing all obedience out the window and inviting herself into the barn, where she was greeted with laughter and a few pats from fellow campers. All was forgiven immediately and it was was a beautiful night to sit by the fire under the most amazing view of the stars! Such a peaceful place to be that Mabel, stubborn as ever, laid down limp in protest when it was time to leave!

Amazing stay overall!! Ken and Jen were very communicative and so kind when we arrived. Instantly made us feel welcomed, and their camper was adorable and kept us very cozy/warm even though it was in the 40s at night. Also, the shower was so nice to have access to after a long day of camping/hiking. Highly recommend! We already said we cant wait to visit again.

I loved Sandi and Brandon"s cabin! The land is beautiful and you feel miles away and secluded from everyone else. The cabin itself is very comfortable, clean and cozy. They thought of everything! The covered porch was great and we enjoyed our fires in the fire . The sheep came to visit and were peaceful to watch. I 100% recommend staying here. It's so relaxing!

I had a great stay at Ryegate. The cabin was warm and homey, a nice break from camping when the rain and cold arrived. Jessica was welcoming, communicative and responsive. She provided good information about the stay and was kind enough to let me use the shower in the farmhouse, which was much appreciated. The cabin really has all you need... shelter, a cozy bed, a microwave, fridge, and coffee station. Sitting on the front porch with coffee overlooking the river and the mountain tree line is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful morning! The cabin is decorated very cute, which is a nice bonus. Note: You need to be up for a bit of outdoor life ... like using an outhouse and washing dishes in a sink outside. It isn't primitive but it is glamping.

I was not able to get to Ken and Jen's after booking due to issues. But they were so very kind and amenable to my needs. I've done a lot of Hipcamping and I appreciate kinds folks with nice accommodations and good hearts. Check them out. The little camper trailer looks lovely and added amenities for cooking and water and shower is a bonus.

Weekend Trip to Ryegate Away Cabins
I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was adorably decorated with a cozy rustic aesthetic and felt very welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, and although there was a space heater provided, I didn’t end up needing it. The host was extremely communicative and helpful, even making sure I had a warm shower in the morning, which I really appreciated. The views of the river were beautiful—especially in the morning with the fog rolling across the water. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the animals on the property—it made the experience feel even more special. I also loved that I was able to bring my dog along with me.

The cabin had a great view of the river and I enjoyed my stay. My dog was allowed which I always appreciate. Jessica brought a heater for me which was perfect for the chilly nights. I arrived at night and did not see the sink/hose for water. You do have to turn the water on and off from the house. Jessica was very responsive and I was able to meet and chat with her. There are chickens, ducks, and 2 goats but I did not hear any of them at all from the cabin.

It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt
