This is a magical place full of places to explore. We hiked, canoed, relaxed, and took in the calm and the natural wonderland. John and his family are wonderful and very helpful. The tiny house was a perfect fit for our one rainy day - our kids especially loved the little loft area to play and sleep. We will be back!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 small kids) stayed at the Hobbit House for one night and had a lovely night. We didn’t take advantage of many of the offerings at the farm, but our kids loved watching the pigs and chickens. The Hobbit House slept the four of us with room to spare for our bags.

2 nights at Earth Paradise Eco-Retreat

I was the first person to stay in the cabin, but the experience was nothing like a rookie set up. The host was incredible, super helpful and sweet! The cabin was gorgeous, recently redone with cedar. The set up was like all inclusive and rustic in the best way. I truly got to unwind and disconnect to reconnect. This is a paradise. I took a short hike to a private lake area and swimming there was a genuinely spiritual experience. There’s plenty of wooded area to explore as well. I didn’t take advantage if any of the extras available, but I am curious about the tours! All in all I will be recommending this place to others like me who are craving a retreat from the modern world and all its noises, speed, and business.

6 nights at Ryegate Away Cabins

Jessica was a wonderful host and was very friendly. My husband and I loved the week we spent in the smaller cabin. The location was perfect very close to the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail in Woodsville and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail in St.Johnsbury.

Visit our Remote cabin with all the comforts of home. Cook dinner on the fire pit and then relax and enjoy the warm glow of the lights and look at the stars.

3 nights at BrandiLee Woods at the Woolley farm

If we ever go camping in Maine again, we're definitely going to Woolley Farm. When we arrived, Brandon greeted us with a warm smile and warm fresh eggs! The cabin is private and well-maintained. A well appointed kitchen, comfortable couch and bed, decorated nicely with many personal touches. The cabin had all the comfort of home. Just when I thought I saw everything, I’d see something else more beautiful. There are plenty of beautiful handmade quilts, all with the theme of sheep and horses. We woke one morning to the sound sheep grazing in the field. So idyllic!! I can now successfully imitate a sheep’s bleat! There is so much to learn here and Brandon and Sandi love to share their knowledge. They have many great books and I read "A Good Dog" by Jon Katz. Brandon is a sheep shearer among his other talents of building and planning. Their care for the land, sheep, horses, and chickens is abundantly clear!!! The woodworking on the bridge and the gazebo that he built is perfection. He is so talented. He and Sandi make everything themselves on the farm . One night while walking thru the well maintained beautiful and magically lighted path in the woods, we were startled by the hoot of an owl flying over us and then a turkey flying from one branch to the next. Awesome! We then came upon a Christmas tree farm! I could go on and on, but, to experience Woolley Farm is best!! Thank you Brandon and Sandi for sharing your lovely property with us!!!

Beautiful, clean, peaceful little cabin to enjoy! We would gladly return anytime we are in the area. The eggs (worth the additional cost) were the best eggs I've ever had. The farm animals were a fun treat and Jessica was a super awesome host! This is what Hipcamp is all about!

We loved this little unplugged cabin in the woods! Lorraine is a wonderful host and was so kind and caring. The cabin has literally everything you need which was amazing. We will definitely be back!

This was just an all around wonderful spot! The cabin is peaceful, secluded, so cute, and situated on a lovely beaver pond with lots of wildlife. Bill and Cindy are amazingly kind, helpful folks who are doing great things with their farm and land. Cindy and I talked for hours during the farm tour! I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone and plan to go back during the wintertime too!

We had a fantastic weekend at the Slippery Rock Cabin! John & Janet were extremely welcoming & informative, and the property was incredibly well maintained. We had a great canoe ride, rode our mountain bikes out to the pond and around the property, and our kids (3 & 4) enjoyed biking the fields and exploring. The tiny cabin was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed!

This place is the bees knees! I surprised my wife for her birthday to a week at the cabin and were both blown away! Both Cindy and Bill were fantastic hosts, the property is gorgeous and the fresh produce was quite the added bonus. We plan to return as much as possible

I booked this hipcamp SUPER last minute, due to some rearrangements that couldn't be worked through with our first planned hipcamp. John was so accommodating and prompt with checking that the heat in the tiny house was working before he approved the booking in case it wasn't and we couldn't stay. well it was working, and we found the little gas powered fireplace to be so soothing and cozy. I have to give John kudos as well for taking his snowmobile and making us a path to sled with as well as bringing us sleds to borrow! my partner and i are full grown adults and we had the best time sledding down that hill. it was hard to walk back up (we are aging) but it was so worth it. we will definitely be returning!

The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. So that means Sunday's are not available or evening's. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and AC unit. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine in the mornings. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first! There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

Queen bed in loft and futon downstairs. Has an outhouse. Stocked with basics for cooking on regular size grill, small grill and new 2 burner camp stove. Cabin is well insulated, uses a Big Buddy heater for heat in winter .The rain barrel is only for water for fire pit! Not drinkable!!
