Even though we haven't seen any there are bears in New Hampshire:
Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, snacks, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking. Do not keep food/snacks in or around your tent!

Perfect peaceful spot to relax and shut down. We didn't really need anything but we knew April was there if we did. There are a lot of little things April leaves in the cabin in case you forget anything which is appreciated. It is decorated so cute with little lights inside which I appreciated at night. The spot is gorgeous with the sound and sights of a brook and trees. What more could you ask for? Sitting by the fire watching the moon rise and sipping coffee with the sun rise was so enjoyable. We didn't bring our dogs but will in the future. A great spot for them. You are in nature and have total peace but with the security of knowing April is right there if needed and hiking and stores are close by if you need them. Highly recommend this spot.

1 night at Pine Brook Retreat
Cutest little cabin nestled in a well loved place. The area built out for camping was so lovely and everything in the cabin was well thought out. We were unfortunately there during a burn ban but there was a lovely propane fire we were able to use and it was perfect. Listening to the creek while drinking my morning coffee was so so perfect.

Had a fantastic time! Kevin was very responsive to questions ahead of time, well maintained site and easy directions for locating it. Only flaw was the amount of noise coming from the motor speedway nearby. The location and views outweighed this minor annoyance since we just opted to put on a playlist to drown it out. The evenings around the campfire were filled with nature sounds and the babbling water. We’d stay here again! Kevin as a great host!

Weekend Trip to Glamping on the farm
My friend and I had a great stay at Jacqueline’s! The farm was beautiful and the campsite itself was peaceful and secluded. Although it felt tucked away, we weren’t far from some smaller towns and enjoyed plenty of biking and hiking nearby. Definitely enjoyed the convenience of not having to set up a tent etc. upon arrival, and appreciated their gesture of sharing a bit of firewood and a full cooler of water to allow us to settle in easily as we arrived fairly late.

Amazing campsite! Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Beautiful meadow on one site and cool creek on the other. Great tent platform and plenty of room for our 23’ trailer. Gorgeous sunsets on the field! Kevin was responsive and helpful. I’d love to come back next time I’m in the area.

This spot never disappoints! We have been staying here for some time now and everytime it’s just as magical! Our pups love it as well! The river is a great way to cool off and have some fun!!! We had the best camping weekend at Horseshoe Bend! We walked the river, watched a bald eagle, did some local hikes, and got ice cream at the goat barn just down the road. Kids, adults, and dogs were very happy! The only knock on this site is that there is a racetrack of some kind across the road, so on the weekend it was quite loud for most of the day. Other than that, the site was perfect and Kevin was a great host!

This was my second time at Horseshoe Bend with my dogs and first time at Site 1. It was a very short walk to the tent platform right on the river. There was a campfire ring by the tent and picnic table and another right on the riverbank. Site 1 is very private and very serene, especially when falling asleep to the sound of the river. We even had a very large Blue Heron right across the river join us for an entire morning too! As always, Kevin is super responsive and both times I’ve been here, the sites are very clean and well maintained.

Stayed at site 4. So beautiful and very private! Site 4 set up is quaint and very unique. It was just the two of us and our two dogs so we had a TON of space. Could have easily had more people with plenty of room to spread out. Having the water and private beach was such a treat and allows for multiple set up areas. We usually use our roof top tent but went with the platform option available due to having our dogs. Possibly room in the driveway if we decided to use it but not really the right site for that. Site 2 and 3 would be ideal for a roof top tent set up. We absolutely loved site 4 and will be back for sure! Can't wait to try out other sites! Thank you so much!

Group trip
We rented a Jayco camper that made our stay easy and more comfortable. It was right on the river- we enjoyed waking up and watching the ducks go by. We spent a ton of time outside, grilling, having fires and spending time/ laughing with friends. Lots of things locally to do as well. We went apple picking and to the local fair! We got some time kayaking in the river too which was peaceful. It was a nice, quiet getaway, and the owners are lovely people. Be prepared with all your own camping gear. Though the camper was very comfortable, we were lucky we had everything we needed. You will need all your own kitchen gear: a grill, pots/pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. We would def come back, especially since it's only 1.15hr from home. Thanks for a nice stay.

We stayed at Kevin's place Labor Day weekend. It is a large private site on the riverbank. We traveled in our 27' travel trailer and rubbed the stabilizer jacks a little bit, it was minimal. The place is great clean and quiet. We didn't hear anyone else on the other 3 sites. Kevin was a responsive host and we would stay there again.
